The man is very abrupt and does not seem to want to listen to his patients. He is more concerned with listening to the sound of his own voice. He is not an easy doctor to talk to as he always tries to over talk you. I have even noticed him making faces while I'm describing what's going on with my physical self. When I had an issue with prescription he told me that his staff was too busy and could not stay on hold trying to solve the problem. It turned out that all they needed to do was to make a phone call for an approval, and I told him this three times. He kept telling me, that it was something I needed to do and he had no idea how to get a medication approved. When I told him I thought he was difficult to talk to he was not apologetic at all just told me well, you need to be happy. He had no empathy for how I was feeling.

The individual who took me back to the room did not look at me or talk to me. I was hoping she would introduce herself since she was doing the intake & it wasn't til during the. EKG procedure that I asked her name. Maybe the doctor was having a bad day. I have never felt so rushed. I was scheduled for a physical and other than his taking a brief history and listening to my lungs, that was the extent of the exam. I hope there is a way to change primary care physicians cause I dread going back.

I was a new patient and Dr Levitt was dismissive and completely unhelpful. He acted like he was bored and disinterested. He did tests but then never followed up with the results until I refused to pay my bill because I never heard back from him. He then called and left them on my voicemail (which was ok) except he said he found nothing but then had no suggestions of what else we could do or try! Kind of like- "Can't find anything wrong. Oh well!" I mean, he's the doctor and he had no suggestions?? Like I said- seemed completely disinterested in helping me. I felt completely discouraged as my arthritis and pain have just gotten worse. So here I am, 3 yrs later still in pain. I've just now booked another doctor, after having done a lot of my own internet research (not my the best idea but with no help from Dr Levitt what is one supposed to do?) I am now fairly certain I have psoriatic arthritis. I just need to get a diagnosis. A shame he never suggested that that could be it. I went to Dr Xavier for a physical. I complained of having chest pains. One would think she would give me an EKG. I don't know what's needed and apparently neither does she. She writes a script for a stress cardio gram that gets denied the day before I'm supposed to go in on Wednesday. I call Thursday morning just to see where we are with a preauthorization. Dr Xavier tells me she doesn't know how long it will be, that it's a process. I'm like should I give it a week? She says she doesn't know. So I'm fed up at this point. I'm the one having chest pains but she doesn't seem to care. No worries. I fixed that. I had chest pains today and came to urgent care for blood work and an EKG. THE SAME THING SHE SHOULD'VE DONE. Since Dr Xavier acted like I was bothering her with my questions, I've found a doctor that will listen. So, being a start up doctor's office, she should have more professional people that KNOW what they're talking about. Because with my PPO, I can go ANYWHERE without your lazy attitude or consent. For all she knew, I could've been having symptoms of a heart attack or stroke. Thank God I went to the hospital to find out what's wrong. After being jerked around by Henry Ford system doctors for a year about getting hormone replacement…read moremeds that each doctor said I needed but they couldn't give me, I decided to go outside my HMO network. A neighbor gave me his name and number telling me she has used him for years. I wished I would have called sooner. I called and got an appointment with in a week, not weeks or months like some Henry Ford specialists. It was a long appointment but he wanted my health history and medical problems. Since I had updated blood work I could show him, he was able to decide what I needed and how to adjust one of my medicines. I finally got the hormone replacement that I have needed to start getting extra weight off so a couple medical problems will get better. He even gave me his cell phone number just in case I need to ask a question or let him know something is not right. I will be back in 4 weeks for a check and if they work, 4 months for more replacement therapy. He is as good as my neighbor told me was. Wants to help women age better and with fewer health problems.
