I was in a lot of pain for two weeks and needed a root canal. It took three days to get an…read moreappointment but that was for the consultation only. I worried about how much longer it would take to get the root canal appointment. Luckily, the doctor stayed late for me and did the procedure that afternoon. I really appreciated that. The doctor is experienced, fast and efficient. However, I was not prepared for the mouth insert that doesn't allow exhaling out of your mouth. I wish they had told me that ahead of time. When they had to stop to explain that I had to exhale out of my nose, I felt like I was an obstacle to the process. It was not reassuring. I didn't feel the empathy during this difficult process. During the procedure, they did not communicate where we were in the process, and if everything was going well. When the doctor was done, he did mention that there was one challenge that he overcame with intersecting nerves. Alas, I was glad to have some communication. After the procedure, the assistant gave me a t-shirt, a post procedure sheet, and told me we were done. She didn't give any verbal instructions, except to contact my dentist for my crown. She didn't ask how I felt and/or if I needed to take a rest in the waiting room. In fact, my back hurt for two days from the angle which I was reclined for a prolonged time. Otherwise, my recovery has been good and I'm thankful for that. As for the expense, it's not cheap to get the advanced xrays and the laser treatment. Even with insurance, those x-rays are not covered. However, it's the highest standard of care, which helps the doctor give patients the best treatment.

After rushing there to get an xray before Christmas I returned today to get the work done. I arrived around 12:45p and was out by 2:30p. What a wonderful experience in that I did not feel any pain in the time that Dr. Caissie was working on my tooth, he listened to my dilemma of having problems with anesthetic usually not being applied enough and I will flinch because the sensation comes through. Yes, my face is still wearing down from the anesthetic several hours later but the pain at the time was non-existent and I'll take that any day! Dr. Caissie and his entire team were very professional, got me in near the holidays and soon I will have a new crown without the root canal problem I had.

If you do go here, DO NOT ask questions! If you do, please expect the following answers as I got them as well. "I'm not going to spend my day explaining this to you." And "I'm not going to explain this to a child." If this is how patients are treated upfront, it's not worth your time. And to Dr. Travis Caissie, it might be time for your wife to retire.

While I was signing in, the receptionist was speaking to someone else regarding their insurance - no problem, you're busy, I get it. However, I wasn't able to speak to her because of that and decided to sit down since I had signed in anyway. Surely she'd check the clipboard eventually since she also saw me, right? Well, nineteen minutes later passed - now 12:13 pm and I still wasn't even acknowledged. I go to the front desk - no receptionist. Okay, I'll wait, I think to myself. Five minutes passed and finally is when the receptionist comes back - now 12:18 pm, 24 minutes since I've arrived at the facility. I tell the receptionist that I arrived at 11:54 am and now, 12:18 pm, have still not even been acknowledged and instead have to go to HER to get some sort of acknowledgement. (I know that she hadn't even checked the clipboard even though she saw me from when I arrived because when I went to the front desk to wait for her to come back, the blue label still hadn't been ripped off.) She apologized and relayed to me that there were call outs that day. I asked her if I was going to get charged for "missing" this appointment even though I was in fact present - since the consent forms online before you get to the appointment did give a discretion that patient's might be charged for a "missed", "reserved" spot. She assured me not. But during this exchange, while mentioning that I had not even been acknowledged even though I arrived almost twenty-five minutes before, and mentioned that I signed in to the chart WHILE she was talking to someone else, meaning I couldn't talk to her face-to-face while signing the check-in chart, her demeanor changed and she immediately got an attitude with me where she no longer looked at me and remained looking at her computer. I could tell that her demeanor changed. I asked her for her name - she said it was Nancy - and asked her one more time if I was going to get charged and she replied "no, sir." I asked her "did you just call me sir"? She goes "yes, or no, ma'am, whatever." I asked her to speak to her manager and she said that there was no leadership there today and that manager "Lex" was going to be there tomorrow 11/12/24. I left. It's one thing having to wait for an appointment after being acknowledged. It's one thing when multiple people call out - I've worked in retail, I know what that's like and can completely understand. It's another thing entirely to have the receptionist give YOU attitude when you're the patient and then disrespect you even though SHE dropped the ball after NOT taking a look at the sign-in chart even though she physically saw me sign it, NOT acknowledged me still, and STILL be away from the desk for five minutes (from when I got there at 12:13p and waited until 12:18p). She said her name is Nancy. If she lied or gave me a bogus name, it was the receptionist who was working today, November 11th 2024, Monday, Veteran's Day. I would love to speak to the manager, still, of this facility to complain directly to them regarding Nancy's behavior. Thanks.

My response, "Only if my insurance will pay for it." A couple minutes later, they returned saying that my insurance will pay for it. A month later I get a bill in the mail because my insurance did not approve to pay for it. I appealed with my insurance and they still will not pay it. Now I must pay the bill as I'm being threatened that my account will be turned over to collection agency with an additional 25% fee of the balance. Additionally, I was not able to be seen for over 4 months and then at my appointment I had to wait 2+ hours after my appointment time to finally be seen. The staff seemed friendly but also bias. I do not recommend this dentist office!
