I have not had the best experience at this office. I went in to get some work done and found out I…read moreneeded a root canal. I got the root canal done, and the dentist told me that he couldn't do the impressions due to inflammation and bleeding. I made the changes he told me to and came back 4 weeks later. When I was at the appointment, he took the impressions and was not happy with them. He told me I would need to come back a 3rd time before I could even get my crown ordered. This would mean 4 visits before I could get that problem fixed. I called the office asking for a refund so I could get a second opinion, and he was suddenly willing to send my impressions in so I could get the crown on. When I left my first appointment, there was cement from the crown left in between my gums (which I had to floss out) and the temporary crown was laying on top of my gums He was rude to me, saying that my efforts were "not enough". I also felt pain during my second appointment. The hygenists are nice but very inexperienced. He had to correct them multiple times over the two times I went. Don't recommend

He explained everything in such a detail that I was very happy. I wish all doctors were like him. Medicine has changed so much but it's truly an honor when you find those doctors that show they care to take time with each patient to explain in detail everything. Kevin, the technician was very pleasant also to talk to and on my way out Blanca treated me as if I had been a patient there for a long time! Again, I wish all medical practices were like this one. I called and made an appointment to establish care with Dr. Chapkis. At first, I was told I could wait to see him after my cleaning. Then, I was told he was too busy to see me, but I could see someone else. Finally, I just made the decision to leave when I was told I would be seen by Dr. Chapkis at my next visit (so, maybe in six months???), a statement not guaranteed, because if he has higher-paying customers, like those needing crowns, your first visit and cleaning are not a priority. I want everyone to understand that your time matters and you, as an individual, matter even more. No one can force you to see a doctor or dentist you did not choose. Imagine if I told my patients on the day of the procedure that their surgeon would be someone else and that was their only choice? I am my patients' greatest advocate, and you always have a choice.
