Great people, great Doctor - excellent "respectful" service. Best dental practice thus far in FL for me. Highly recommended.

There is only one dentist one hygienist and then two specialists at this dentist so it's very small…read moreand intimate. They offer payment plans and it was very clean. I went to the dentist for the first time since preCOVID so its been a while and they were very accommodating and let me know what was happening before we did anything. I feel like it will be easy to get to know who everyone is rather than being in a giant room with a bunch of other customers getting things done. I will definitely be making sure when we move we can stay in the area. I love the openness of the lobby and all of the staff seemed very friendly. If anyone was looking for a new dentist I would highly recommend. I will actually be trying to get my fiancé in here as soon as I can as well!

Switched from a different dental office to this one because it's closer to where I live. Came from…read moreanother Smile Generation office to them - transfer of records, etc. went for a cleaning and exam as a new patient. The first person to see me could barely speak English and went through what I had already confirmed online the day before, but, the language barrier made this process so difficult, she had to get someone else and I'm the one who speaks English! Saw 5 other people through the process for various evaluations. Finally saw dentist to discuss treatment options for a deep cleaning and nearly immediately a different guy came in to discuss payment options, etc. so a simple cleaning appointment now is turning into a $700 visit that most of this cost is not covered by insurance. The best part? They refused to do the cleaning the appointment was made for in the first place. And....they never pulled my records from the other office, nit until I told them to. Despite seeing those records they didn't seem to care. Wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time for nothing. Seemed like a staged battery of people to get me to agree to their plan.....wasn't sure if I was at a dental office or a time share presentation. I did go back to my previous dentist and let them take a look as well. You know what? While they agreed with the procedure that was recommended at Dentists of Sanford, they ran the same insurance and my insurance covers the whole thing....so why did Dentists of Sanford want so much $$? No telling. They are just generally pushy and dont seem to care about you as a person. They make you feel like you're part of their process. It's like they have forgotten they are here for you - you aren't there for them. The place was clean and nicely kept but there is zero trust here for me. Be aware that it sure felt like a high pressure sales pitch and a total refusal of my current dental treatment from another office in their network. What still baffles me is their refusal to do what I came there for. Think I'm going back?

This has been my dentist for the last three or four years. I actually like the dentist quite a bit…read moreand referred my parents to him. But for what I need, I rarely see the dentist. Three stars for the hygienists, which keep changing. I get that my gal wanted to go half time or whatever, so she's out. But what happened to the one after her? I didn't like her anyways because she made my gums bleed all the time. It was as if she didn't have steady hands or she had careless hands or bad vision. She talked so much and didn't pay enough attention to my gums. So I remember asking to be scheduled with someone else other than her. I can't for the life of me remember that hygienist's name. Pretty sure I got someone new to me this past time because i got in on a cancellation. It wouldn't have happened that way except that the office did not respond to my call or voicemail or email. I finally found an old email with their online scheduling and tried to do it that way. That system sucks anyways because all it does is record your preference. It doesn't actually make an appointment. Eventually I got a call back and I was upset! I thought they had closed down because there is no reason to not return calls. I go twice a year and I have good insurance! They do x rays every year and have updated equipment. I like that they do an oral exam for cancer etc. they also evaluate your gums. Pretty thorough place, once you get in. Bonuses: it's completely solar powered, so they're doing their part for the world. Also, they have coffee and bottled water in the lobby. When they send you home, they give you a toothbrush, toothpaste and lip balm! The ladies there are very nice and the dentist is great, albeit talkative, but it's the hygienists that can make or break a place. Update- I've been going to this dentist for five years now. I have changed hygienists multiple times. But I most say, the dentist is so awesome. He gives his honest opinion about everything. He does not try to push you into procedures or Invisalign etc. One time I had a question and he wasn't totally sure. He promised to ask a colleague and get back to me. Sure enough, he got back to me by email. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge of his limits. He didn't hesitate to get a second opinion. That opinion was about the same as his in the end anyways. I always get a toothbrush and travel toothpaste on the way out. The also have lip balm that I keep in the car. They have improved their hours and added another dentist! They have also improved on getting back to me via email or phone when I leave messages. I have recommended my parents to his practice as well, and they are happy. Both have had procedures done and are satisfied.

Unfortunately, this place turned out to be exactly what I was hoping it wouldn't be: another…read morepredatory dental office dressed up with friendly front-desk smiles. My husband went in for a basic exam and X-rays and paid the $50 for a second opinion. We expected to hear about a couple problem areas, sure, but what we didn't expect was the total refusal to give any actual information. They told him he had a "mouthful of cavities" and possibly needed one or two root canals... yet they would not tell us how many cavities, where, what teeth, whether he had gingivitis, or any specifics at all. Every single question was met with some version of, "You'll need to schedule another appointment for that" which, of course, would be another exam fee. No treatment plan, no transparency, nothing. Just a push to book a second visit before giving even the most basic details. When we asked if they could at least start anything (cleaning, filling, something) after that second "consult," the answer was a shrug and basically, "Maybe a cleaning." So essentially: two appointments, two charges, zero clarity, zero work done. Not sure who has the free time for that kind of runaround. On top of that, they tried pushing Invisalign on my husband who has never had TMJ symptoms, grinding issues, jaw pain, or anything that would justify it. They market themselves as "low-cost dentistry," but the exam is the only thing that's inexpensive. Everything else feels like an upsell or a delay tactic. They also refused to give him his X-ray and told him he'd need to call back on Monday to request it. Just strange all around. We really wanted to give this place a fair shot, but the lack of transparency, the pressure to come back for unnecessary consultations, and the random Invisalign push all added up quickly. Definitely felt like a waste of $50.

Kind employees, prompt service, and all at a price that won't break your wallet. 5 starsread more

Wanna pay for all your visits upfront only to receive another bill a year after never been seen? Do you enjoy dealing with an incompetent and rude office staff??? Then you have found the dentist for you!!!! In all seriousness though. I repeatedly would have my scheduled appointments cancelled a day or two prior to my appt date. This caused me a lot of stress as I also work as a provider in an office and I am blocking off part of my office time with patients to be seen. This shows a lack of respect for your patient's time and disorganization on behalf of the practice. I had a deep cleaning done with this office and experienced TMJ pain ever since then which I have never experienced prior. Called to ask for recommendations to treat and did not get anywhere. Overall, just very dissatisfied and going elsewhere now.

Kinda not a good way to start out with a new patient if you ask me... Update: Once we were seen by the Dr he was very nice and thorough in checking every thing. He made sure we had a good experience and answered any questions or concerns that we had. Will be returning soon for dental work and fell things will be much better this time around. Overall we are happy with our experience here. The facility is very nice, clean and convenient.

I don't know where to begin. I think I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what just happened,…read more had first appointment with this dental office for a basic check-up / teeth cleaning, arrive and receptionist was very friendly.. was then taken to have x-rays, no issue the young man taking x-rays, was very gentle, professional and courteous, then came the examination. A gentleman with an accent examined me, poking around my mouth, giving numbers out to the other gentleman, young man standing behind me as I lay on the lounge chair. Then, shortly after he left, came back with a plastic covered page displaying four different examples of sets of teeth from good to worse. He told me " but to prevent" .. we need to do.. Apparently I fell in the category in the middle. He advised me that I should have a deep cleaning, now mind you this is not my first visit to the dentist, but going to the dentist, not regularly, but certainly enough to know what the procedures are. Anyhow, he then advises me that he will return with a insurance payment confirmation and charges for plan. The gentleman returns with a printout of insurance payment coverage allowable as well as what I would be responsible for, out of pocket.. now mind you again not my first rodeo at a dentist. I always know that there are some portion of the visit that I would be responsible for, which I'm totally fine. What surprised me is that I was told that I would be needing to come every four months and that my dental "deep cleaning" would first be done to my right side of teeth and then the next appointment would continue and do the left set of teeth or vice versa. Ok I'm no dentist.. but I've never had this done or know of anyone else as well.. I'll admit I was a little taken back as I've never had a cleaning that required two visits to complete one side at a time. Now i'm becoming suspicious and my gut is telling me this doesn't sound right.. something just didn't make sense. The gentleman ( dental hygienist ) advises me doctor will be in shortly to examine me, at this point I'm little taken back since I thought I was had already been examined and the next step would be to begin what I thought was a regular check up and dental clean. The doctor passed by me a couple of times advises me she'd be with me shortly, which I appreciate she acknowledged my presence. Then sat down beside me and proceeded to examine my teeth as well. Advise me that I would have to have work done, and then left, not before letting me know someone would be by to review charges and coverage for my insurance, yes now becoming a little even more suspicious as to what is going on here? I have already been examined.. so I questioned the doctor, but I thought I already reviewed the charges and what my plan will cover? her response to me was "oh no that was the dental hygienist charges, these are Doctor work services and charges which are separate.. huh? now I began to realize this is not ethical and there may be some type of scam going on, again not my first rodeo at a dentist. I've never had to have my teeth cleaned in segments.. thinking maybe this is the new thing and course everyone thought that was very odd as well, as well as needing to come to an appointment every four months, made no sense. Mind you my last appointment was just a little over 2 1/2 years ago had no issues. I had a regular dental clean, and that was it. Once the doctor is done with me, the front desk receptionist escorts me to the front desk, who provides a detail printout of the charges, outlining work needed and cost-- included three crowns, unheard of and some additional BS charges lab work, which I still don't understand but needless to say I reviewed, look down and saw a total itemized bill of a little over $1800. That's all I needed. I thanked the receptionist for her time, took the packet and advised I would review, left. Shortly afterwards, I received a voice mail message asking that I return their call in reference to what might be done or can be done or should I say. Moral the story, do not go to this place, found them to be deceiving.. This is out of the norm. I wish I had read the reviews before taking time off my very busy schedule to come here. I wasted a little over 2 1/2 hours, and accomplished absolutely nothing. Needless to say they will not be getting my business nor will I be recommending them. If you're going to have separate charges and examination with a dental hygienist, and then a doctor as well as Bill separately for those individuals, you should tell the patient as well as identify or provide ahead of time how dental cleaning processes work.
