I worried about how much longer it would take to get the root canal appointment. Luckily, the doctor stayed late for me and did the procedure that afternoon. I really appreciated that. The doctor is experienced, fast and efficient. However, I was not prepared for the mouth insert that doesn't allow exhaling out of your mouth. I wish they had told me that ahead of time. When they had to stop to explain that I had to exhale out of my nose, I felt like I was an obstacle to the process. It was not reassuring. I didn't feel the empathy during this difficult process. During the procedure, they did not communicate where we were in the process, and if everything was going well. When the doctor was done, he did mention that there was one challenge that he overcame with intersecting nerves. Alas, I was glad to have some communication. After the procedure, the assistant gave me a t-shirt, a post procedure sheet, and told me we were done. She didn't give any verbal instructions, except to contact my dentist for my crown. She didn't ask how I felt and/or if I needed to take a rest in the waiting room. In fact, my back hurt for two days from the angle which I was reclined for a prolonged time. Otherwise, my recovery has been good and I'm thankful for that. As for the expense, it's not cheap to get the advanced xrays and the laser treatment. Even with insurance, those x-rays are not covered. However, it's the highest standard of care, which helps the doctor give patients the best treatment.

If you do go here, DO NOT ask questions! If you do, please expect the following answers as I got them as well. "I'm not going to spend my day explaining this to you." And "I'm not going to explain this to a child." If this is how patients are treated upfront, it's not worth your time. And to Dr. Travis Caissie, it might be time for your wife to retire.

She tried to ask some questions and understand more about the procedure. The office manager was very short and aggressive with my wife. She accused us of being the issue with our daughter if she can't sit still, won't let parents in during the procedure to help, and charges (every time) if they have to deal with the child during the procedure. The dentist is a saint compared to the treatment my wife received from that woman. I understand it's his wife, but she should not be in the front office talking to patients. Their website is very outdated. And the endodontist's wife states they do not need new patients. So if people have problems, they will not take them. And they don't deal with insurance. The doctor was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and helped walk through the procedure with my wife. I could afford to have my daughter treated with them, but I would rather my money go to a company that treats its customers with respect.

The X-rays were way more non invasive than other dental visits in my youth, and the tech was friendly, bubbly, and very careful to make sure I was comfortable. I love that you can see others while getting care, and it's hilarious to make eye contact with someone else while your mouth is stretched like a character from Beetlejuice. I laughed, a lot lol. My hygienist was a sweetheart, with an unmatched bedside manner. But my favorite part? Going over the recommended work (a root canal and cap for ya girl), and seeing the prices and not being forced to commit to anything. They even told me a way to avoid a root canal if it was too expensive, and how to care for my cavity until I was ready. Which I appreciated wholeheartedly! Three stars for the hygienists, which keep changing. I get that my gal wanted to go half time or whatever, so she's out. But what happened to the one after her? I didn't like her anyways because she made my gums bleed all the time. It was as if she didn't have steady hands or she had careless hands or bad vision. She talked so much and didn't pay enough attention to my gums. So I remember asking to be scheduled with someone else other than her. I can't for the life of me remember that hygienist's name. Pretty sure I got someone new to me this past time because i got in on a cancellation. It wouldn't have happened that way except that the office did not respond to my call or voicemail or email. I finally found an old email with their online scheduling and tried to do it that way. That system sucks anyways because all it does is record your preference. It doesn't actually make an appointment. Eventually I got a call back and I was upset! I thought they had closed down because there is no reason to not return calls. I go twice a year and I have good insurance! They do x rays every year and have updated equipment. I like that they do an oral exam for cancer etc. they also evaluate your gums. Pretty thorough place, once you get in. Bonuses: it's completely solar powered, so they're doing their part for the world. Also, they have coffee and bottled water in the lobby. When they send you home, they give you a toothbrush, toothpaste and lip balm! The ladies there are very nice and the dentist is great, albeit talkative, but it's the hygienists that can make or break a place. Update- I've been going to this dentist for five years now. I have changed hygienists multiple times. But I most say, the dentist is so awesome. He gives his honest opinion about everything. He does not try to push you into procedures or Invisalign etc. One time I had a question and he wasn't totally sure. He promised to ask a colleague and get back to me. Sure enough, he got back to me by email. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge of his limits. He didn't hesitate to get a second opinion. That opinion was about the same as his in the end anyways. I always get a toothbrush and travel toothpaste on the way out. The also have lip balm that I keep in the car. They have improved their hours and added another dentist! They have also improved on getting back to me via email or phone when I leave messages. I have recommended my parents to his practice as well, and they are happy. Both have had procedures done and are satisfied.
