My condensation line was frozen from the outside to the furnace area. This create internal faults within the furnace unit causing it not to work properly. I had (5) ONE HOUR 'EMPLOYEES' at my residence analyzing this unfortunate circumstance. Thanks to Jeff Catalini Field Supervisor, Kyle Wilson Operations Manager, John Rocker Austin Schmidt and Thomas COOK 'TJ' all Technicians analyzing and try to find solutions. Throughout this (6) day process, new condensation pipes were ran heating wiring placed, and still the furnace was like some relationships, hot, cold, boring and just not working. I had lost total confidence in this furnace system and would hopefully not encounter another episode like this. I made the decision to get another furnace. It was in installed very professionally within a timely manner THANKS TO ALL the names LISTED ABOVE but a huge thanks to 'TJ' Thomas COOK, who did a great deal of the installation solo. 'TJ' was very explosive with KSA's Knowledge, Skill and Ability in what he was doing and how he was going about doing it as well as teaching me the new system and the new thermostat. I give him his prompts as a Young HVAC employee Thomas COOK his on point Thanks to Tracey ( office ) as well for informing me of dates, times and who was coming.

He was able to find the issue and resolve it quickly. He took the time to answer our questions. Today he was the hero. We have an 86 year old with dementia so it was very important to have our AC issue resolved before next weeks triple digit heatwave. We are going to be calling One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating for all of our future needs. We highly recommend them!

    Debated between one and two stars. Not really sure why tho, actually. Maybe because the customer…read moreservice reps were nice? That- and they must take a lot of crap for the managerial team or whomever is over there making some major money off of them & the technicians - most of whom are not licensed, btw. As many other reviews stated: Horizon will charge for a "maintenance plan", then refuse to provide maintenance services. You also do not get any priority scheduling (as they claim to provide in the service plan documents you sign) as compared to a customer who does not have the plan. Here's the kicker - they will, however, note on your account IF you are someone who gets "vip" treatment: ie: not having your maintenance appointment "rescheduled" the day of for three months later. If they realize you are someone or have it brought to their attention that someone they deem "important" enough is aware of this BS - they will most certainly attempt to take care of you. That is so incredibly wrong. Such a scam and I hope the consumer advocate does look into this business practice. I had a certain person to ask for if given any issues, and separate number to call in. They still tried to cancel my appt for the 3rd time - but after the second same day cancel, I had a person I knew they would listen to, give them a call on my behalf. So third appt day is here and scheduler calls, starts to inform me that I need to be rescheduled.... And then stops herself: "oh wait actually hold on" - during which time she must have reviewed the internal DO NOT CANCEL note. I canceled my plan and as expected, I did not receive the requested cancelation confirmation. Shame on this company. And to the good admins there, please find a more ethical company. This is just truly disturbing.

    We purchased a new gas HVAC system from them in 2018. We did our homework first and had several…read morequotes before purchasing from Horizon. The install was quick and clean. Everything was good until I called for our first service. Made the appointment and they canceled the day of, too many emergency calls. OK, let's reschedule, that appointment was canceled the day of. Every service appointment has been canceled the day of and rescheduled. I finally gave up and switched to another provider for my semi-annual tune ups. I now have an issue with the humidifier that should be covered under warranty. Of course my appointment for this morning was canceled, "everyone called out sick, we can schedule you for tomorrow ". We will see..... This is ridiculous! I would give no stars if Yelp would let me.

    TL;DR: they refused service to long-time clients because we had the audacity to ask for a measly…read more$200 off their HVAC bid. Clients of theirs for years, no complaints. When we needed a new HVAC, we got an estimate from Frederick that was $1000+ over the estimate from another long-time, reputable local company. But out of loyalty to Frederick, we politely asked if they would shave $200 off to come *slightly* closer to this other quote. We actually hate haggling, but had read that you're expected to, for new HVAC. Can't hurt, right? They responded. Had they just said, "No, that's not possible due to XYZ," we would have hired them and paid the full price. But instead the rep explained why it wasn't possible, and then, in a polite but insulted tone, *rescinded their bid*, essentially telling us they would not be doing the job either way. All over a request for $200 off a $7000 job. We were stunned. Needless to say, we haven't called them for anything since, and we're the kind of easy-going, non-complaining customers contractors usually like to have. We got our HVAC at the other place and it's running fine, a few years later. Owner, if you're reading this: I get that you're doing well enough that you don't need to accept anyone's attempt to haggle, and can charge a lot more than the competition. Good for you. I'm purposefully not giving you a 1 star because I don't believe in trying to hurt someone's business. But talk to your guys about not reacting in a personal way to long-time customers. The reaction we got was really uncalled for. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but you have to leave that behind when you're interacting with a customer, especially an established one. He could have just said "No, we can't do that, but let me know if you want to proceed with us." We would have.

Alexis, the very nice salesperson, gave me a quote on three systems, and helpful information to review. We chose Joseph Frederick & Sons because they are a certified Carrier provider and they only install Carrier systems. All of the HVAC professionals were friendly and explained the system well. The cleaned up after themselves.
