He didn't pay his attorney. Then I took him to the State Labor Board where due to his lies his Contractors license was suspended for 90 days. Called this gentleman's company to receive a quote for installing gutters and downspouts on an addition we recently had built onto our home. He indicated he would send this along to his "gutter people" ( he is the "gutter people") and they would contact us. We assumed they would need to see what the job entailed before quoting it. Within 24 hours we received an email with a quote put together via a satellite image of the home. The quote was absurd to say the least and based on installing gutters on the entire home. When I emailed him explaining that the job quoted was not what we needed done he proceeded to berate us stating we clearly do not understand modern technology. Then began to brag about his gross earnings in the past year. None of this had any bearing on the rather simple job we needed completed. We now have a quote to do the job from another installer for $1,250.00 vs Mr Burke's estimate of nearly $10,000.00 If his work is anything like his personality I would be very skeptical of using his services. read more

Yes, this is a 5 star review for someone I didn't even end up using to do work. That's how much I appreciated the honesty and advice. I called Michael after finding that the paint in my bathroom was bubbling up from water leaking in. He answered the call on a Sunday night and came out the following day to take a look (it was a holiday!!!). He took a look and gave me some advice on how we need to proceed. I called back after a few days to address what had happened since he'd been there and upon hearing the update, he let me know he could come out and do some repairs, but honestly I would have been "spending money I didn't need to spend". I couldn't believe I had asked to pay someone to come do work and they told me that it wasn't necessary. I can't say enough of how much that means to me. I have a child on the way and wanted to get this resolved very soon. Michaels honesty was quite refreshing and if/when I do need something done, he will be the first person I call now. read more
