Our roofing experience. We needed a new asphalt shingle…read moreroof, I did the typical 4 quotes and Falcone came in the lowest of all the estimates as far as price. Also I look at who is qualified to do the job, you also have to consider how experienced are they and look at the type of people that do the work. I also call in a few questions later to see how they respond, if it takes hours, or days to get back to me. I dealt with Rich (actually I forget his name), he was a manager and responded quickly. He couldn't answer all my questions (he had to check with the owner on one of them) so he said he will have to get back to me. He called that evening on his own time and answered all my questions. Ok, time to do the work it is early October, the material was dropped off the day before, I saw Rich the morning of, I gave him instructions not to nail into the brand new siding. (which they did not nail into the new siding) They said the project would be a day maybe two to complete. Well I get a call as I was driving home saying they were done and heading home. I got home and they were gone, so I was walking around the house. My first impression was " were they even here"? I had to do a double take. Yes there was a new roof, but no mess, no nails, not even a footprint in the front mulch. They came back as I was outside and we discussed the project and they explained they had to do some repairs that was extra $$. "This was discussed and understood in the proposal that I accepted". I needed new plywood in certain areas. He even took pictures to prove it. I had a feeling that I would need this, (so no problem with me). I am writing this review now in the spring because I wanted to wait to see how the first winter was with the new roof. Well it was perfect, we had a heck of a winter and no leaks, no lifting, so far no problem. They do have a guarantee on the work and materials. I am so pleased with them I am going to ask them to bid on my new deck project. I recommend Fred and his crew any day.

I had a roof put on and nothing but problems. Leaks and they don't stand by their work except…read moreright after it's done. They use statements like "that's a once on a hundrend year storm". Or you didn't tell me about the roof leaking in that spot. I need a new roof and won't be hiring Falcone. They suck.

First of all, I would be very cautious about using this roofing company. Over the past 16 years I…read morehave use Falcone roofing... but this is not the company of 16 years ago. I have a very unique roof it's called a shake roof. Eight years ago I spent $45,000 to have 50% of the roof replaced. That job that was completed with professional integrity. Last year, I attempted to have the remaining roof replaced, which was quoted to me as $65,000(A $20,000 increase over the first portion of this project ). After negotiation, and a second inspection by the owner, John Falcone, he quoted me $50,000 (my first issue with excess of profit gouging).I could "sort of" understand the increase in material costs but....(40+ percent increase?). It was at that time, that I agreed to have the work done by FALCONE ROOFING only on the agreed-upon promise that he would supervise the job and show up every day to inspect the prior days work. The first day his "crew"showed up, the workers ( the workers, had issues "understanding" my concerns about their work....they were polite and hard-working but obviously not familiar with installing this type of roof... ) they made quick work of stripping the old roof by sections. I was very curious why JOHN had disappeared shortly after showing up. I should've realized right then and there that this was going to be a huge problem. I called John that night and demanded that he Report on site the following day to go over imperfections that I had noticed that were inconsistent to uniformity and appearance of the " shake" alignment. Of course, this was the first error,of many.... Again, John apologized and the work was ripped out and reinstalled. In my nonprofessional opinion this was the beginning of a butchered job. Again, calls went out to John almost every day as to his lack of appearance on the job and supervision. By the time the job was completed, I held back, the 50% balance due, because of substandard work. The finished product, had significant insulation errors. One major issue pertained to the installation, was a white material(equivalent to Tyvek for roofs) that was 8 inches below recommended installation length. This caused The tyvek to show below the shake line.. thusly, Aesthetically looking horrid, and very unprofessional. I have had three professional consultative Assessments done on my roof. Each of these professionals have looked upon this installation as extremely subpar and non Professional .... How can a professional installation company install shingles both upside down and reversed? There is an obvious front and back to these shingles... how did these installers install these "shakes"incorrectly ? Improper supervision of this "rookie" crew? . I'm also amazed at the fact that Falcone roofing will not guarantee the warrantee of this roof. His rationale being, that He gave me a " discount" for this project, and that should suffice for the warranty coverage....REALLY? What did I do wrong? except to "flag", obvious improper installation issues....His refusal to cover the warranty baffles me. Why did John falcone continue to do business with me for 16 years prior to this particular job? If I was such a difficult customer?....why did he take on this second stage of this $95,000 job? Why did he refuse to supervise these unprofessional workman. Why did he Provide me with such a substantial credit for this project? (because I'm such a good guy?)Why did he admit that the roof was aesthetically flawed... after all I paid top dollar for a top dollar project. I have since hired a attorney ... stay away from this so-called professional...
