Doing a web search, Metro was one of many home inspection companies that had a straight-forward website and online booking. However, what set Metro apart from the others is that they listed the available days and time slots that they had inspectors available. They even had the name of the most probable (subject to change) inspector to make the appointment. That was important because I knew when the home we were considering was available to be opened, and I could quickly line up a day/time that worked out for both sides. After the appointment was set, I was called by one of the staff. She called to "talk me out of" the radon and pest inspection services (extra charge) because of the type of home and area it was located, those services were not valuable. The cherry on top was that for the month, they were giving a "gold" discount on the overall cost. Inspection went as planned and I received the final report by the end of the same day. I never had to state that I needed a quick turnaround, but I get the sense they knew based on the dates of our real estate transaction. Just superb service, and really made me feel I could not get as good of a service with any of the other inspection companies I was considering. If we ever buy another property in the metro Boston area, I'm using Metro 100%!

While he is great and the actual job, he is horrible with getting things to you in a timely manner. I never got my report in 24 hours. It was more like 48 hours and then (both times) he sent me the report in a strange format that can't be opened unless you own the software he uses. So technically the report comes in 2 days but he is impossible to reach and both times I did not get the report (in a format like PDF that the average person's computer can open) for 3 days! And it took nearly 2/weeks to get radon results. Unlike some other inspector, he doesn't let the radon company email you. he forwards it to you. I think the problem is that he is in control of everything. He works all day but none of his secretaries have access to his files so even if they reach him to let him know that he messed up and needs to send correct report, you won't get it until @ least 11 pm. For my third inspection, I used Precision. got my report in like 10 hours. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend trying Precision instead.
