My husband and I bought a fixer upper in Mission Viejo in 2021 and hired Michael and his crew to totally renovate the inside of our home. They tirelessly worked on my project for 14 weeks and one of his crew, Luis, stayed on to finish the details (tile floors, tile backsplash, paint, minor drywall, etc.) for another 6 months. They moved two load bearing walls to expand the kitchen; added an additional bedroom, bathroom, and loft to the upstairs; added a walk-in tub to the guest bathroom; redesigned the master bathroom and closet; refaced the fireplace; replaced all the doors; replaced or added electrical outlets, light fixtures, and plumbing just to name a few. Every square inch of the interior of our home was refurbished! It was a huge project and we are very satisfied with the result. Michael definitely knows what he's doing. We worked together flawlessly. He accommodated NUMEROUS revisions along the way and he also made many suggestions that were valuable like adding a loft (my granddaughter's favorite hangout). He really listened to my requests even though at times it was a little anal. (e.g. All my ceiling lights had to be precisely centered and I wanted the toilet moved over a few inches.) He did all this with a great attitude. He began to understand our personalities and how we wanted things. We felt he was looking out for our best interest and we trusted him and his judgement. For example, when we asked for advice about quotes we received from window installers/vendors, he'd advise us that the quotes were too high or fair. He'd give his perspective on what he thought the going rate should be and that perhaps we were being overcharged. Good to have an expert on hand. After working so closely with him for so long, we have developed a great friendship and respect for each other. Considering that we just found him on Google and he did not come as a referral, it's understandable why we were initially uneasy to trust him with our valuable asset, our home. After hearing so many horror stories of renovation and contractors, we're very blessed that our experience was not that. We wholeheartedly wish everyone have the same awesome experience we have had with our project and contractor, Mike. Thank you Mike, Marty, and Luis. Responsive (same day work - small project), thoughtful, insured, careful, and genuinely friendly. His crew presented the same qualities. He did what was asked and offered additional,l suggestions. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. He totally blew me off! Dishonest, untrustworthy! We agreed to a price for him to install my outdoor Xmas lights. He showed up on the scheduled date, then immediately left for lunch, and NEVER returned. Never even called me! When I called him 2 hours later, he said he had a flat tire. He rescheduled for three days later, then immediately canceled, saying it was an insurance issue. When he sold the job, he stressed that he was licensed and insured, because he wanted the job! This is an easy job! 54'-60' length of lights! Probably would have taken his three guys 30 minutes! Many houses in my neighborhood have these lights! I decided to build a tree house for my grandson and contacted this company to do the work. He came out and quoted my project promptly and we were happy with the price. He built the pirate ship tree house just like we discussed and my grandson loved it we would highly recommend this company to anyone who asks. read more

Total flakes. Hired them for xmas kites outdoors, showed up, said going to dinner, never showed again. Called and after saying they were licensed, insured and bonded, they said no insurance. I did the $600 JOB MYSELF IN 2 HOURS. TOTAL JOKE. these guys are complete lying flakes. read more

You should see my downstairs bathroom!!! Ok, yea....repeat customer, repeat "caller".....but I have had Michael do so many renovations to this 1976 home, that it is almost perfect!!! Next...we will work on the backyard/pool area.....(now that he has re-done the garage, replaced windows, re-stucco'd, waterproofed, repaired damaged trim, repainted the home and the wrought iron--after treating, etc., etc.)...the home is almost perfect!! But, now....lets talk about my downstairs bathroom! It is SO AMAZINGLY beautiful What an upgrade. Michael was kind enough to walk me through all of the decision stages (I am not a decorator by any stretch of the imagination, but Mike and Marty walked me through flooring, wall choices, vanity, color, lighting, and so on...Michael even went with me to Builders Supply to pick out the best vanity and mirror. I was having a new front door installed and the installers found electrical above the header when they removed the drywall. Since the new door was taller the electrical had to be moved ASAP. Called Michael and he was over the next day to get the electrical moved. His team did a great job and were very professional and organized. Can't say enough about the work they did. I had been trying for a week to find someone to hang Christmas lights and everyone was either uninterested or wanted way too much money. I finally saw a sign on the road for Christmas lights installed and decided to give it one last chance........and thank goodness I did. I contacted Michael for a quote around noon, and after texting a picture of my house, he gave me a great quote and said he could be there within 2 hours. They were friendly, fast and did a great job and were done within an hour. I couldn't be happier with their work. Several tiles in the bathroom were broken, and I know it was a small job. So I checked from yelp and then called around for handyman service. Those with great reviews either did not return my call, or simply told me they were not interested in doing it. Until I got flyer from Michael, I decided to give it a try. Call got picked up immediately, and after Michael listened to my description, he scheduled an appointment within 2 days to come to my home, with an estimate of price. On the appointment day, he SMS to me and asked to send pic of tiles before his people came. The job was done in 2 hours, and now my bath room floor is back to work again. Michael's people also help to fix the tile outside with no extra charge. Final price is lower than what Michael estimated over the phone. Great to have someone do the right job within days with reasonable price in the neighborhood. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!!! We needed work done on our deck and didn't want to take a chance with an unlicensed contractor. Michael seemed responsive (giving an estimate quickly) and we checked his license with the Contractors' Board and with the BBB and called his references and he did not have any complaints (and he was bonded) so we thought we were safe. Of course, the job got more and more complicated (and expensive) but we trusted that his advice on materials to be used and the way the work should be done. We were very careful about explaining exactly what we wanted even down to the fact that we wanted the boards evenly staggered so that there were not two cut lines together at any point. Even when we caught a major mistake he made recommending a product that would not have fit the underlying support (which any capable workman would have noticed right away), we continued to trust him. Big mistake! Once he tore out the old deck , he started building the new making cut lines at random so that they followed no regular pattern (some cut lines were together and some staggered and some one or two inches off). He did not miter edges for corners and the boards were not put down evenly (so that some were higher than others) and even the nails holes were uneven (not in straight lines or any pattern with some too deep and some sticking up). The paint job he slopped on just completed the terrible job he did and, when we complained, he became angry and hostile and insisted this was "high quality workmanship". We contacted the Contractors' Board and they said we had to give him a chance to make it right but all he did was come back and put filler on few areas to hide the mistakes (much of which popped out within a week). This has not only cost us thousands of dollars but has ruined our summer and we are still stuck with a deck that is embarrassingly shoddy. We have had a lot of work done over the years but have never had this bad of workmanship so be warned. read more
