Love love love Dr. Shanklin and my post op ladies Casey, Carmen, and Ani…read more I had tummy tuck December 2024 with Shanklin after losing 120 pounds. And he got my stomach flat and my back rolls down from 2 to 1. lol. So that definitely boosted my confidence and I'm forever grateful. I then came back mid January for bbl and lipo 360 and so far I am loving my results. He is so kind. But also know that in order to get answers from him you have to have your questions ready. He soft spoken and is a man of few words. The nurses in the waiting after surgery are a little bitchy but that doesn't bother me because I can be very bitchy as well. That is something that they can work on, is how they treat patients after having surgery. But I also hear this about other clinics not just Smart Plastics. However I will be returning to Dr. Shanklin to finish the next phase of my weight-loss and plastic surgery journey.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the surgeon and with Smart Plastic Surgery…read more My surgery was done by Dr. Pittman. He confirmed with me beforehand that I only needed Lipo 360. But on surgery day, while he was marking me, he changed his story and told me I actually needed a tummy tuck and that he could only take a very limited amount of fat out, saying I needed to diet and exercise. If I'm supposed to diet and exercise, then why on earth am I coming to you? What am I paying you for if that's the solution? It felt like he just didn't want to take out much because he was trying to rush me. He had 10 or 15 more people to do that same day. After surgery, I was in a lot of pain. Be aware that they don't give you any pain medication through your IV in recovery -- the anesthesia only puts you to sleep. You come out of anesthesia with nothing for pain and have to wait for the person picking you up before they'll discharge you. They don't give you any paperwork or paper trail. They make you sign so many papers and don't give you anything, not even your receipt. I asked over and over for my receipt and they wouldn't give it to me. I was in Miami for five days before going back to Los Angeles. On my second day of massages, I kept asking for my paperwork and receipt because I had to pay for my massage package. When they finally gave it to me, I noticed they overcharged me for everything. When I tried to speak to someone about it, no one was there or the office was closed. It's been two weeks since surgery and I have not been checked on. No one has called to see how I'm doing or to express any concern. They shut you down, they overcharge you, and they don't do good work. I noticed he took out very little fat and what he did take out is uneven. I think he did one swipe on each area. It was a waste for me to pay all that money and go through so much pain for a botch job. I'm still in a lot of pain. This is a horrible doctor. Do not go to Smart Plastic Surgery at all. But if you're still thinking about going anyway, do NOT choose Dr. Pittman. They are money hungry. They will rob you and barely do thing.

If I could rate my experience 10 stars I would. Everything about this office exceeded my…read moreexpectations. I finally decided I wanted to get a breast augmentation in November 2023. I had contemplated getting it for so long because I was flat-chested. I lost a lot of weight the previous year so getting a breast augmentation was the cherry on top for my confidence. I also wanted to get minor liposuction on my stomach. I had a pocket of stubborn fat underneath my belly button that would not go away no matter how many sit-ups I did. I called to set up my consultation and dealt with Lucy. She was so nice and made me so happy. I remember getting off the phone and smiling because I was so excited about my consultation. Consultation: The following Tuesday I arrived at my consultation. I was so nervous but the entire staff made me feel comfortable and they were so welcoming. I changed into the gown and Dr. Craft came in with a sweet nurse! I didn't get her name but she has always been so sweet! He spent a lot of time with me! He went over everything, answered all my questions, gave his advice, and listened to what I WANTED. He was so informative and I knew that I wanted to start the process. I want to say I was almost there for an hour. Weighing my options, listening to the pros and cons, and asking questions. I'm so thankful for the consultation because I left very confident and firm on my decision. I ended up picking 415 cc of silicone, high profile. I wanted to be a full C or D cup so this was my best option. Blood work: I came back a few weeks later where I met Cybil! The most amazing person in the world! Gosh, I love that girl! She took my blood and informed me about everything! What to do, what not to do, and everything I needed to do before my surgery. I got a really big packet of paper but left knowing everything that was in that packet. They took before pics, measured me, and answered any questions. During this time I was put in contact with Marilyn who is great! She gave me her phone number and during this entire process, I asked any questions that came to mind. She has always been so sweet and helpful! Procedure: I was extremely nervous since I had never gone under anesthesia before. My surgery was scheduled for 10 am so I followed all the instructions the night before. The anesthesiologist called me the night before asking if I had any questions which made me feel a lot better. When I arrived I got put into the room and got changed into the gown. The recovery nurse April came in and talked me through everything and gave me an anti-nausea pill. She is just the best! I remember her telling me about her son; she was so sweet! She said most people don't remember her much since they get knocked out but how could I forget such a sweet lady! Dr. Craft came in and went over the game plan with me. He marked me up and made sure we were on the same page. I went into surgery 100% confident and excited. I wasn't nervous at all. Everyone was so nice and explained what they were doing to me. I knew I was about to knock out when the lights were swaying back and forth and I was 100% calm. I woke up and April was there, she brought my fiance in and I went hope. Later that night Dr. Craft called me and we talked. He explained to me how the procedure went and told me instructions for going forward. This meant a lot to me and just made me so happy that I picked him to do my surgery. Recovery: As I'm writing this I'm about 6 weeks post op. I have followed their instructions religiously and have worn my fajas 23.5/24 hours a day. The follow-up appointments have been great and the support has been so great. I did lymphatic massages with Janet and she was great!! Since I only got a little bit of lipo I only had to do 4 sessions but it helped reduce the swelling so much. Worth every penny. She was great and I enjoyed getting to know her. Everyone in this office is amazing and I'm so thankful and blessed to have gained the amazing care of the staff and developed many friendships. I seriously wish I worked here so I could hang out with them every day!! Thank you all so much. P.S I LOVE MY RESULTS! They're exactly what I wanted.

Doctor: Dr. Haas, Thomas (The best -at least at Breast Aug-)…read more Procedure: Breast Augmentation Saline under the muscle Height: 5'8 Weight: 129 (the day of surgery) My procedure is and was probably the easiest one so I feel for those who are getting BBLs, etc... This is my experience only! I can not even believe most reviews on here as for my experience this place should AT LEAST have 4.5 stars. But I am not invalidating those really bad reviews, I just couldn't, nor can't relate my experience was soo good I'm writing this 5 hours after I came back home. (Also this is my first surgery so I am ignorant to better experiences... This is the only one known to me thus far, and it was very very good.) STEP 1 - BOOKING: Was very easy, my procedure was $2,500 + the surgical bra which was $55. In total: $2,555.00 . To secure my booking I had to pay $255.50 and as of for me since the day I payed the booking fee -- Mia Aesthetics staff would call me every Monday to check up on my LAB work and clearance... There was definitely pressure but like when people are strict and are serious about their job it shows and I like it!!. STEP 2 - LAB WORK/Clearance: Mia Aesthetics staff were very patient with me and continuously gave me more time to submit LAB WORK/clearance. I am a very busy girl and could barely make it to most appointments but everything worked out perfectly and smooth. 10/10 LAB WORK/Clearance experience (Note: if you have insurance you'll pay $4.99 for all this paper work to be done, which is amazing!) +Bonus - DRUG USE/NICOTINE: Marijuana doesn't matter, at least not that much as it is the only drug not subject for cancellation. I still did quit: Alcohol, marijuana and nicotine use 2 months before my surgery... However if your job demands you to go outside to get water for yourself, food supplies etc... Then you know how hard it is to (not) find someone sparking up a cigarette or vaping everywhere you go. I would wear masks, take long paths JUST to not get second hand smoke, and required my husband, my sister and anyone around me to smoke outside of my house (not just outside my room) and wash their hands afterwards. STEP 3 - PREOP: Amazing pre-op experience! Took less then 30 minutes and I went by myself, all good They'll ask you to sign papers of approval, then direct you to a room where they'll: check you BMI, check your weight/height, ask you how long ago you quit any substances and will be taking your before pictures! STEP 4 - SURGERY DAY: (Note: I coudn't eat or drink anything for 8 hours before the surgery which was the hardest part as I am addicted to drinking water every second... They did provide Gatorade after waking up.) I came in and they asked me to sign some more papers, my surgery was scheduled for 6AM but I was asked to come in at 5AM. I live here in Miami so the commute was splendid. So yeah they asked me to sign some papers, in less than 10 minutes things got REAL... they directed me to a room where they tested me for nicotine, drugs and other things... (Which by the way they'll only test you for nicotine if you have complications if not they won't... If I knew that I would've saved myself the dirty looks of people when I held my breath around them just because they were smoking and I was scared my test was gonna come up positive because of second hand smoke)... Anyways the medical assistant was nice she was very helpful and accommodating, gave me the princess treatment and then the doctor came we discussed sizes and medications... Then the anesthesiologist came by and we talked about if I had any allergies, etc. I wanted to hug her afterwards 'cause she is truly amazing (I can't really remember names, I can barely remember my family bdays) but she was brunette AND also I was so so cold due to the anesthesia so I wasn't gonna do all of that just to hug her, but she was that great and motherly that I was hurting from my breasts and I was still thinking "omg give me a hug you're so nice" SHE WILL HAVE YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND OPEN THEN BOOM... Big boobs! ... They then carried me through the back and my sister was ready to pick me up (I came out at 8AM... They whole process probably took 2 hours. To come: STEP 5 - POSTOP: I am having my pre-op tomorrow at 9AM then on Monday at the same time so this review isn't done yet! Hope to bring more great comments about Mia and Dr. Haas into this review. THANKS TO MIA AESTHETICS FOR BRINGING MY DREAM SINCE I WAS A 14 year old girl COME TRUE!!! LOVEEE YOU GUYS ALL OF MY FRIENDS WANT DR. HAAS SO HE BETTER BE READY!

I wanted to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. I went into this…read moreprocedure requesting 400cc breast implants, but after surgery, I immediately noticed my results were much smaller than expected. When I reviewed my implant card, it showed 295cc. When I asked Dr. Poser about this, I was told that based on my body type, a smaller size would achieve the look I wanted. While I understand that surgeons use their professional judgment, the final result does not align with what I requested, and I wish there had been clearer communication and agreement prior to surgery. My post-op experience was also frustrating. After following all aftercare instructions, I noticed one of my incisions had opened. I reached out right away with photos and a phone call, but it took about a week to get a response. I was told to use Polysporin, but the wound seemed to worsen. I sent additional photos and updates but experienced a much longer delay in hearing back. Out of concern, I went to the ER where tests confirmed there was no infection, but I still had an open wound. I eventually went to a post-op specialist I've trusted from previous procedures, and with their guidance, the wound began to improve within days. Overall, the lack of timely communication and follow-up care made this experience much more stressful than it should have been. While I respect the medical aspect of the procedure, I do regret choosing this provider due to the outcome and the level of post-operative support.
