    parakeet looking smug
    Lemon C.

I stayed here 4 nights and never got a good night sleep because a gang of mitred parakeets liked to party on my window sill every night from 2am-5am, I wish I was joking. The first night I was awakened to a strange noise in my room, see they don't sound like birds, so I was frightened at what is the noise in my dark room. I turned on the lights to investigate and realized it was coming from my window which I found strange since I'm on the 20th floor. I opened the curtains and saw a bunch of parakeets having a grand old time yapping away! And throwing their whole body banging on the window shaking it. You can see how dirty the window is from their breath. I banged on the window and yelled "break it up! party's over, time to disperse! " and went back to bed. Only to be awakened again by them at 3am. So I did the whole spiel again but this time I decided to stand my ground at the window. And guess what they had the nerve to return 5 minutes later! My god! They have the entire hotel full of windows to pick from, but no, they want to come back to my window! Most flew away by the time I started taking pictures. Every night I had to deal with this. I spoke to other guests and everyone was dealing with the same thing. Why doesn't the hotel put bird spikes, outside the windows when this is a known problem???? On top of this even though my room was large, I had twin size beds. My peep hole was broken so I felt unsafe getting dressed, remember what happened to Erin Andrews? The luggage rack was very small, only for a carry on bag. I had to struggle with it daily as it would move under my suitcase. There was no amenity kit in the bathroom, just hand soap and the first day the lotion I got was open and used by the last guest. The next day I wasn't given soap. The towel isn't big enough to go around my body. They clean the rooms very slowly. The train station is next to the hotel so that is very convenient to take into town instead of ubering to avoid being stuck in traffic. Nearby are lots of restaurants and a mall. Trader Joe's is a short walk away is you don't mind crossing a freeway with no crosswalk or lights. The entrance to the hotel is hidden, it's hard for ubers to find. They have a lounge just for British Airways crew.

What a Godson to have a very, so close to our home. Typical South Florida FPL had power outage and we were stuck without any electricity. Being Marriott rewards members we booked here and had an amazing check-in experience. Damien was fantastic. The room is beautiful even though it's just one night he even offered a late check out unfortunately we have to go to work tomorrow. Service was great. We would definitely recommend this place.

    Mold on the windows

I stayed here for 4 nights, starting on Christmas Day 2024. My room was extremely humid- everything was damp (towels, bedding, floor). I went to the front desk 3 days in a room to tell them the problem. They sent an engineer once and he reset the thermostat- didn't help. It was impossible to shower and dry my hair because the room was a sauna. No one at the hotel cared. Do not stay here, you'll be very uncomfortable. The windows were full of mold.

Not bad. I got one of the "upgraded" rooms. That just seemed to mean that the flooring and decor was newer, more modern. The bathroom was upgraded as well. All of it was very nice! Of course, you always get the great Marriott beds and bedding. I slept like a rock! The hotel is close to tons of restaurants and bars - all within walking distance. That makes this Marriott an even better choice!

Stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago as it was close to a customer that I was seeing the next day. You walk into a very sexy entrance with polished floors. The check-in desk was to the left, a huge wall of tv's showing scenes of the city and sheer curtains. You turn to the right and there is a seating area that leads your eye to the restaurant and bar area that was had very lively travelers. I checked in and got my room key. The elevator was like nothing I had ever seen, it was a single touch pad that announced which elevator would take you to your floor. You step into the elevator and there is a tv inside of the back wall that displayed behind glass. Now let's talk about the room itself. It reminded me of a mullet haircut...all party in the back and business in the front meaning the entrance was like you stepped into the late 70s and 80s with the sink outside of the bathroom, the tile in the bathroom was old and needed to be redone. The toilet needed and upgrade too. The thing that got me was there was a nob with numbers on it and when I turned it, it turned on a heated light above the tub with a timer on it and it had a wall phone in the bathroom. The rest of the room was very modern and updated and all business. The bed was clean and so were the windows. And the TV was a flat screen incased in a very nice wood. The hotel over all was quiet and suited it's purpose for an overnight stay

Subpar Marriott property! Very dated with old linens and towels. For a Marriott I would expect a better hairdryer. They need to be replaced big time. The furniture and lamps look like they were made from the 1990's. The room is a good size but the bathroom is very tiny. From a business standpoint there are hardly any outlets for your electronics. The desk has a glass top which renders any use of a mouse useless. Just a note, there is no pantry to buy drinks, food or snacks. There are better options close buy with some being more inexpensive limited hotels.

This place receives a star for complimentary breakfast (through our flight) and free WIFI. Oh, and maybe that it is located by other establishments you can walk to such as Publix and Trader Joe's. Otherwise, try to avoid this place. Our flight got delayed several hours later from original departure time, so several of the passengers arrived here. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the interior but things went downhill. When it was our turn to talk to the front desk, we were rushed by Stephanie especially when we asked about toothpaste and toothbrushes. She totally blew it off. The other man, don't remember his name, told us nicely that he would send them to our room. When we got to our room, the 4 keys would not work. Maybe once we got a green light with one of the cards but no progress with the door. We all proceeded down to the lobby, and the man processed our key cards again. It was a waste of time because only one of our cards managed to open the door this time. In addition, our door was broken. We weren't able to open the door from the inside. The hotel rooms definitely need an upgrade because some of the accommodations are outdated. Taking a shower was a challenge. Little did I know the shower light was timed. The only areas in the hotel that's furnished and updated are the areas for the public like the lobby, bar, and lounge. Parking is only valet here. I remember seeing $8 for 0-5 hours and $18 for all day. In conclusion, there are plenty of established Marriott hotels throughout Miami.

They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. First, the good, it's an awesome location on the southern tip of Brickell Key. The pool was wonderful and gets mostly continuous sun exposure during the day. My balcony faced west so I had sun during the afternoon as well (perfect for a tan). Honestly, I never felt like I needed to leave the resort being a pool guy. The base price room was spacious and mostly clean with a separate shower and tub. The bad- the service wasn't great here. I felt like anytime I needed something I had to ask 3-4 times before staff would remember (including freebies that were part of the room rate). The one time I asked a concierge for assistance he was super brash telling me to go talk to the front desk. The property felt old and in need of a renovation (again it's being demolished so not surprising in that context). Also, a lot of the ads for the resort promote its beach which no longer exists- it's now a model home for the condos going in. The hotel is pricey and gratuity is auto-included at 20% for everything which would be fine if the service was better and they didn't ask for additional tip on top of it. I wish I stayed here 20+ years ago because it felt like in its hay day this was a swanky hotel. Today, it's tired, on its last months, and the staff really don't seem like 5-star talent (as a benefit to the doubt most people would be unmotivated if things were shutting down too). Part of me is excited to try the new hotel whenever it opens, part of me wonders if the poor service is just part of the brand. The gym was tacky- literally they just through equipment in 6ish guest rooms with the doors propped open. Kind of funny but not 5-star hotel caliber.

There's also a bar on the second floor with outdoor seating, which is a great spot to relax and people-watch. Overall, this hotel has a fun atmosphere, smart use of technology, and an unbeatable location. I'd definitely stay here again, especially for a quick stay before a cruise.

We arrived early around 11:00 AM and were immediately greeted with a glass of prosecco. Because I'm a Platinum member, I was able to get an early check-in and an upgrade. The staff took great care of us, bringing our bags up to the room while giving us a tour of the property. Our room was a stunning 1-bedroom suite with partial ocean views. The setup directly at the beach with refreshments was beautiful, as was the pool area, and we were told the pools were heated. Now, if you've read one of my reviews before, you know I'm going to order room service, and it did not disappoint. Just a heads up, valet was $60 a night. I will absolutely be back, and a huge thank you to the staff for such a great experience!

Not sure what construction as it looks mostly the same. Additionally had to wait 45 minutes for a room service menu as QR was not working and our bathroom faucet fell off the wall. And it's the high season, January. Beware stay clear. Not worth 1500/night for a suite. Construction still going on, many workers not present in hotel but all over the site. Very disappointed.
