Jan 2024 visit, a newly built hotel with well lit free parking in safe surrounding, La Terraza and Bar restaurant on the first floor, and free afternoon hot chocolate chip cookies. It's definitely a great option for vacay.

Stayed here for two days, the building looked new, the room were clean and the staff members were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast at hotel was $21.95 per person for - scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, and continental breakfast items. You can get the continental breakfast for $10. Gratuity is automatically added as a line item, but they are nice enough to add additional tip line for more tip. Overall, had a wonderful stay, housekeeping came and made the bed and cleaned the rooms, which wasn't expected based upon other hotels that I've stayed in... I'd figured this was only done when requested. The only beef I had with the hotel was the F&B (food and beverage) credits that were not applied properly. They applied the $30 for the breakfast that we had, however the morning we left, I went down and got 3 waters and a chip. I asked for printout of the receipt and there was one line item that I questioned internally - chip 1 - $18.75. I didn't think too much of it. I had called the hotel from the airport and was told that I went over on my F&B credit from buying the water and chip... but there was no way the chip was $18. So I called back and asked them how much the chip was and was told it was $5, so there's no way $7x3=$21+$5 would have triggered a line item for $18.75. On the second call, I kept pressing them, after being on hold for few minutes, they came back and told me that they only applied $15 credit, rather then the $30 credit. They stated they would fix the issue and issue a refund. Refund came in, however I would recommend you double check your receipt before you leave and make sure everything is correct.

Each time I come here, I thoroughly enjoy my experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the rooms are nice. Complimentary room upgrades are insane as well! The upgraded corner rooms are enormous. Breakfast is surprisingly really good, with a fresh selection of foods and one Cuban food item (empanadas or croquettes). The gym is small but fits the bill on equipment.

This was my second stay at this hotel. I enjoyed my stay. The staff is as very pleasant and attentive. Front Desk was also very friendly. This time we got a corner room which was a lot bigger than the one I stayed in last time I went. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. This is a very nice and modern hotel. Plenty of parking, and located a few blocks away from International Mall.

Brand new hotel in Doral - DoubleTree is always been really good in my opinion. This hotel is very modern and has a nice clean feel to it. It's very airy and the high ceilings are really nice. The best part of my room was that it was pitch black when I slept. A lot of times there is light pollution from the hallway or through the windows - no such problem here. Overall a great experience here.

Stayed here on Friday night and all was well. They say during this pandemic that they keep a room empty for 48 hours after it's been occupied and they have the remote in a bag signaling that it's been clean I assume. Each door had a tag that let you know the room had not been entered after it had been cleaned. Two person max for each elevator. Everyone had a mask on and guests are required to have a mask on as well upon entering. My stay was good. Wasn't around anyone pretty much the whole time since they space you out as well in the rooms. Plenty of parking and lots of outdoor lights at night for safety. This hotel is located a stones throw away from the Miami International Mall as well.

Friendly front desk staff, modern, clean building, speedy check in all gave me a positive impression from the outset. But my view of the hotel declined with each day we stayed there. Housekeeping was the main problem. Some days they didn't clean the room at all. Other days they cleaned bathroom but not the rest of the room, leaving trash and old food. I complained to 3 front desk staff and nothing changed. Finally I had to go to the manager but by then we had an ant infestation. We checked out three days early. Their business center is more like a family room, no desks, no easy access to electrical outlets, noisy TV playing for other guests made it difficult to get anything done. It appears to be a hotel for business travelers rather than vacationers but it doesn't succeed for either. We won't return.

Breakfast view!

This is a nice and new hotel. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a good job. Front desk was very friendly. Breakfast was good and service was ok. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere in a 5 mile radius for free. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. ( I travel 5 days out of the week )

I dont speak Spanish, so there can be a language barrier in interactions with some staff. I was super happy my room had been upgraded because the hotel was full. Check in was easy and efficient. The King Premium with sofa was nice and quiet. The bed and linens were oh, so comfy! The bathroom was super clean though a bit small by Intercontinentals I visit. They have three parking spots reserved for Diamon Elite! Awesome! The pool is on the small side and I am not sure if it is heated. They have nice fresh towels conveniently located by the pool and a good selection of loungers. It was nice to relax here for a couple hours. I was disappointed that the club lounge was closed for reno and members were "relocated" to a few tables in the lobby. It was a bit annoying when people were walking thru those few tables to go outside to attend a private event last evening. It just didn't have that special feeling. A real plus is the hotel shuttle! I took advantage of it to go to nearby Dolphin Mall, rather than driving myself. It was so convenient to be dropped off at the mall entrance and not bother with seeking a parking spot. I would definitely stay here in the future and would look forward to experiencing the renovated club lounge.

It was about a half hour away and had I known this, I would've stayed at a hotel closer to the cruise port. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and check in was smooth. The room was nice appointed with a lousy view of the roof. The bed was comfortable and the room was also equipped with a Keurig coffee maker. After checking in to the room, I went down to the pool and hung out there for a couple of hours. It was very relaxing, but the water was on the cold side. I was informed that they had a happy hour which consisted of five dollar appetizers at 5 PM at the bar, which is what I decided to check out. There was definitely a language barrier with the bartenders so I had to point to things on the menu. The calimari was rock hard and the worst I've ever had. Once I let them actually feel one of the pieces, they took it away and removed the charge from my bill. Certain glasses of wine were five dollars during this happy hour period, which was a good deal. They do not offer shuttle service from the Miami airport to their hotel, but they will offer free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius of the hotel, should you wish to venture out and go shopping or out to eat. I'm giving it 4 stars for the room and the pool area. Everything else was just very average and for the price I paid for the room, I don't think I would return.

The Good The staff here are pleasant and professional, and the cleaning crew does a great job; I had no cleanliness concerns during my stay. The room design reminds me of an upscale dorm room or a hostel, which works for this brand. A major plus is the 107 Steak and Bar attached to the Element Hotel, which shares the back courtyard--it's a fantastic place to grab a meal or drink without leaving the property. If you do venture out, La Terrezza and MIA Still & Brewery are both nearby and are great choices. The gym is solid, and the lobby is laid out nicely for working or networking. The music has a beat, but it isn't overpowering like at the Moxy. You also get plenty of free parking with your pass, and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The Bad The technology is a bit behind the times. The TVs don't have an easy streaming option for Netflix, and there are no premium movie channels. If you are someone who needs to unpack, take note: there is no drawer space. They provide an iron, but there is no steamer available for your clothes. The Ugly A person on the road for work looks forward to two comforts: a good bed and a hot shower. This place only delivered on the first. The best the shower could do was "pretty warm," which just doesn't cut it when you're trying to relax after a long day. Then there's the coffee. The lobby coffee was weak and undrinkable both days; I've had bad lobby coffee before, but rarely would I rather throw it away than drink it. The breakfast was also a letdown. The burrito was essentially a frozen, microwaved meal. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was passable, but for just a few more dollars, you should go across the street to La Terrezza and treat yourself to a real meal.

The good: I appreciated being able to check in early, which was very convenient. The front desk staff were friendly, and the hotel itself is modern, clean, and well-located. This part of town was not in existence last time I visited Miami so I was in awe. There's a lot to do here. The room, though a bit small, was nicely designed and comfortable. The not-so-good: I had called ahead to confirm whether the in-room coffee machine used K-Cups, and was told it did so I purchased pods in advance. Turns out, they use a different, hard-to-find type of pod, which was frustrating and felt like a waste. I was told rooms would be serviced every other day, but my room was never serviced at all even after I brought it up at the front desk. That was a major letdown in terms of basic expectations from a hotel. The lobby bar looked convenient, but it always seemed empty except for a few bored patrons, so I never felt inclined to check it out. Overall, it's a decent hotel in a great part of town, but the lack of follow-through on service and small but avoidable annoyances keep it from being a top pick. I'd consider staying again, but I'd definitely explore other options first especially those with more consistent room service and better in-room amenities.
