Special thanks to Florence High School for hosting a Dual Swim Meet here at the Aquatic Center…read more Directions here were easy, with plenty of parking (covered) around, and once we got inside the locker room to get ready, the inside was clean and easy for us to change. The Pool facility was really good, with the water temperature just right and debris from the pool removed. It is a bit shallow on one end of the pool, but only a mental thing for active swimmers, and even though the sound system wasn't perfect, it was still doable. Great addition to Florece.

They said they sent an email and a letter, concerning the additional fee. Ww received nothing. Not totally the point tho... We are, and have been paying dues for years. $93.00 maintenance fee???? Because you can???? I called and was told that "all other gyms, like Mountainside had this charge as well" for upkeep.... Since when are we Mountainside Fitness?? They are way larger and way more classes. Again, not the point. My dues should be my dues. When I called to inquire, I was told that I could go elsewhere, done. No one should be forced to pay for maintenance.... or leave. What next? I CHOOSE LEAVE.

The staff is very concerned with water safety and taught us some new things we did not know. For us, it was okay because we were there with a toddler. Their smaller size didn't have a height requirement which was awesome!

I went to Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center with some friends on September 12, 2026, for the first…read moretime in about two years, and unfortunately, it just wasn't the same experience I remembered. The biggest difference was how much stricter everything seems to be now. Anyone under 17 has to take a swimming test just to use the diving boards, which honestly seems a little ridiculous, especially for older kids and teenagers who clearly know how to swim. Even the lazy river has become overly strict. In the past, I've always been able to enter from the exit if I was already right there, but now you absolutely MUST walk around and enter through the designated entrance. I understand having rules for safety, but some of these little things felt unnecessarily rigid and took away from the relaxed, fun atmosphere I remembered. The staff also seemed more annoyed and less friendly than during my previous visit. Nothing terrible happened, but the overall vibe was definitely different. I had such a great experience here two years ago, which is why I was excited to come back with my friends. Unfortunately, this visit just didn't live up to what I remembered. It feels like there are more rules, more restrictions, and a lot less of that easygoing, family-friendly atmosphere that made it so enjoyable before.

This past Saturday, we decided to come visit this aquatic center as suggested by my partner. The place has open aquatic recreation from 1pm -5:30pm and you can either hang out on the recreation pool side with slide and lazy river or hang out on the other side where there is lap swim and a diving pool. Both my partner and I wanted to lap swim, so this review is mainly for that. For residents, the charge is $4/person, a pretty sweet deal to hang out at a pool all afternoon vs. go into downtown Phoenix and pay way more to be in a very crowded pool at a hotel event. Locker rooms were fine, lockers available, and we opted to bring all our stuff close to where we could see it. I had some of my diving gear with me, and lifeguards had no problem with us using our snorkel and fins. You'd think on a 115F afternoon that this place would be packed, and thankfully, it was not. We had no issues with lanes, and at one point, my partner and I had separate lanes for about 20 min! Overall, this was a great experience. We got some relief from our heat wave, got in a decent lap swim session (probably need to swim more, arms aren't completely shot today lol) and the price was really good! We'll definitely be back for more!
