If you ever are looking for any cultural Chinese item this is your spot. They have just about everything you can think off. From clothes to books to decorations. I come here whenever I'm celebrating Chinese New Year with the family. And I always find things that I want to come back for. They have a good size parking in the front of the store and staff is friendly and helpful. They always have specials posted all outside the storefront and I've found good deals when looking around. This is a colorful and big store. It has Chinese decorations, clothing, shoes, medicine, bamboo, teas, wedding invitations, and much more. It's an interesting place to visit. I came to buy those red money envelopes. I don't know the name. I found them here at a good price and plenty of choices to choose. I was hoping for the smaller ones, but this will do. The clothing is so cute, mostly smaller sizes. I liked the bright colors. The price was not bad. I wanted to buy them all and shrink my size. This stuff you don't see often. Going here is so much fun. Lots of great teas, sauces, candies and specialty food items. They have really neat decor and bamboo plants. A huge section of miscellaneous stuff that works great for small gifts. Really cool paper lanterns, piggy banks, and even clothing. They also have cosmetics and skin care. I love this place and whenever I go I spend at least an hour looking around. read more

This place is off the hook! Man, am I aging myself or what, who says that anymore? Anyhow, I loved this place. I am one of those people who love to look at stuff, even if I don't need to buy anything... I always end up buying something though. My sister brought me here, she had been wanting to come as well, we initially thought it was an Oriental Food market, but it's not. There are groceries, but it's only a small part of the store. The majority is just Chinese/Korean products such as beauty, silk flowers, tea sets, statues and random stuff. It's like an indoors Chinatown without the street vendors. We came in 1/2 hour before closing and I wish we had more time. Some things seems to be pricey, but for the most part they are reasonably priced. I had to go there to pick up a dress for a work event (very last minute) and they had several selections to choose from. Great selection of items and pretty reasonable prices. I took off one star because almost none of the gemstones/crystals are labeled. A customer told me that they used to have a much larger selection. I wish they would bring them back! I hope they do because there isn't much of a selection in my area and everything is outrageously priced. I got a cute set for $20. read more

Feng Shui paradise!!! I went to my regular chinese supermarket and after chit chatting with the cashier I asked her where can I buy chinese ornaments. Without hesitation she sent me here... OMG!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. This place has everything you'll need if you are a master Feng Shui or just an aficionado, like myself. Feng Shui "cures" work with energies, and certain symbols activates them, depending where you place them. So, for example, if you want to activate your career, placing a water feature in your entrance is recommended, since the career element it's water and it's located in the entrance of your home. Fascinating. I spent more than a hour just checking out what this store has. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is your one stop shop for everything Chinese! My boyfriend loves to play Mahjong (Chinese tile game) so we figured this would be the perfect place to pick up a shiny new set. We were right! They had a huge variety of games and the tables to play them on. The store is HUGE. They are well stocked with jewelry, crystals, medications, books, furniture, clothing, shoes, hats, and they have a a great selection of tea, sweets, dishes and random household things in the back. There's also an entire section for all things Hello Kitty (takes me back to middle school -- Keropi!! ) The prices are very affordable in comparison to the other Asian Marts in the area. I've been coming here for years! I love stopping by to pick up some little knick knacks when I'm putting gifts together. The store is so big, although it may not seem like it on the outside. They have almost everything! Food, decor, clothing, household items, jewelry, so much more - its endless. The staff is nice too. They have every language covered, which I think is awesome. Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese. They know their market. I usually just keep to English so they don't find out how broken my Cantonese really is . . . lol. read more

I came back here because my future in-laws have interest in having items from far east, so my fiance also recommended this place. It was around 7 pm and on a Sunday, so it was quiet and empty. Even though the only thing I bought was a not so big towel, the cashier was happy to help me. My future mother in law found herself something nice, a robe with some sort of design and looked velvety. They had to leave soon, so I couldn't stay longer to look around. :( The miniature statues they have in the store make me go "awww, cute". You can find great gifts in here for sure! I really love this place, and I make any excuse I can to go there almost every weekend ("oh, let me make a stop at Wal-Mart, I need plants", "oh, let's stop here before hitting PF Chang's near Aventura), because they always have cool novelties and you will literally spend hours in this store checking them out. You can find anything from beautiful, lush money trees for your desk to Asian porn, comics, Hello Kitty must-haves, flip-flops, or snack foods. They have these awesome hologram-like 3D paintings that look like they are moving from different angles, buddha statues, you name it. Even those cute red Chinese takeout boxes that you find in every restaurant. The only problem is, every time I go, I spend hundreds of dollars in gadgets and gifts, but this is a great place to go for Christmas gifts, especially if like me, you love Asian culture and Asian decor. Most things are priced exceptionally low, even cheaper than eBay or Amazon, but not everything, so you must be selective. They are open until 8 pm daily, which is quite convenient. read more

I visited this place today, and this place immediately became one of my favorite Oriental Asian places to visit in Miami-Dade. It is clean, spacious, organized and well stocked! When I drove by this place several times the first few times, I thought it was just a furniture store. But today, when I drove by, I saw some different stuff on the window display that just made me wonder what else was inside. The venture was definitely worth it! This is the only store that I'm aware of in Miami-Dade, at least of this size, that offers a good variety of Oriental goods. Am I talking about food? No - although there's dry food here. But for produce, seafood or whatever else, go somewhere else - this is not a grocery store. What it is, however, is a Chinese store offering books, music, few plants, Asian furniture, clothing, samurais, Asian-style lamps, paintings, toys, and various other trinklets that would make wonderful souvenirs - whether they be coasters, small incense boats, tea kettles, tea sets, or some kitchen stuff that can look stylish anywhere at home! All in all, this place is a great place to buy a special unique gift for your special someone that loves "different" things in Miami and also this is a great place to be exposed to Oriental culture that goes beyond what we know of its culinary contribution. read more

Me and my friend who are both African-American came in, I was looking for chopsticks and she was looking for bracelets. We found this place while we was walking and when we came in, a man of Hispanic origin and a lady of Asian Origin we there. The Man and Lady began talking and as we noticed the man began following us EVERYWHERE we went, I was looking for help with the chopsticks and I tried walking up too the lady and she started back up and shaking her head saying she doesn't speak English. I come here every time I go through China withdrawals, which have been ongoing since a two week trip almost a year ago. That said, I am still searching for a more authentic experience so any recommendations are welcome! China City has a random assortment of housewares, kitschy art, cosmetics, candy, jewelry and non-perishable foods. This is my go-to place for Asian noodles. They have them all, mung bean, yam, rice, soba, egg, ramen... They also have a large assortment of herbal teas, packaged snacks and condiments. Huge store. Ample parking outside. We don't have a Chinatown in Miami, but we have Miami China City. Just about anything you'd expect to find in an urban American Chinatown, you can pretty much find here, with the exception of prepared food. Clothes, tea, packaged food, gifts. They've got it. The staff seemed a little indifferent, but I think that might be because of a language barrier. Don't let that stop you. $4 for a little everyday tea pot with a built in infuser for my rose petal and lavendar overflow so that I can make lots of yummy tea. $7 for a wholesale size box of sage incense sticks (inside of which was six little regular size boxes of incense boxes). At least an hour spent with my littlest Yit having fun looking at all the interesting things. He was absolutely fascinated. His being fascinated outside of the XBox world was priceless to me. Bring your kids here, bring your Cuban grandparents, expose them to new things. Happily I went there on an absolute whim on a day before payday and after Chinese new year, otherwise I would have spent a fortune. Some stuff is ridiculously dirt cheap, some stuff is absolutely out of pocket expensive (can't see myself spending thousands on a statue). The clothes are fabulous and everything is authentic (Made in China). They also have a large Hello Kitty section. Four stars because that's what my son gave it. I could spend hours here. I have driven by a million times but this time I had an hour to kill and there was bumper to bumper traffic going west on 163 /167 st . As I was waiting to possibly inch ahead, on the right two Hello Kitty caught my eye in the window. Which is honestly why I stopped although the plaza is hard to miss with the huge lettering on roof. ( I needed a birthday present for a friend who loves H K . I couldn't believe how first of all, large this place is. So much to look at. A splendid sight. They have an extensive variety of candies cooking items. Non perishable ( no meat counter or anything like that) its more like a few isles of dry goods decor hanging wall to ceiling. Bright artificial flower line this huge establishment accompanied by tons of Buddha statues big and small red lantern line the ceiling. The east side of the building lined with clothes, books, a small hello kitty section. You will be surprised how overwhelmed you will be with these Asian goods. I came in thinking I would grab a small gift for a friend. I ended up with a true gift , having discovered this little Asian oasis. read more

I feel exactly like Jason but on a failed attempt to recover the golden fleece. Today, I sought out to visit Miami China City after reading their glowing reviews on Yelp (about them having everything I could have possibly wanted) and did not find the one thing I wanted-- a fertility Buddha statue-- known for helping couples find luck in conceiving children. Once I arrived, I walked to the counter in the middle of the store and asked if they had a fertility Buddha statue. One of their employees walked me around the store showing me all their statues, but alas, they did not have the one I wanted. They had different Buddha statues, statues of dragons, cats, and all types of animals-- but no fertility Buddha statue. They did have one for $85 (priced high because it could sing), but on a mission, not to break bank, I attempted to walk away. The man was a bit pushy though and encouraged me to buy the statue for about five minutes, and I left a bit annoyed without my original mission accomplished. I will say that this is definitely the largest Chinese store I have ever seen in the Miami area. You can probably find anything you want here-- fans, furniture pieces, samurai swords, kimonos, decor, bamboo stalks, Asian condiments-- anything but a fertility Buddha statue. read more

As far as Miami goes this place is the biggest store for what they have I've seen here. If anyone knows a different place please let me know. I found this on yelp even though I've been here a few years ago I forgot the name. Like most reviewers say, they have a decent selection from plants, buddhas, lanterns, hello kitty, clothing and the list goes on. They have things I could not find at any other Asian store. They don't have a big selection of food here though. I loved they had real bamboo in different sizes. I also got a pair of cute house slippers that were super cheap. I was trying to find my daughter a chinese dress but couldn't find it in her size. It's hard to beat going to Southern California when the options there are out of this world (besides going to Asia of course) but I figure this fixes my need for when I need a few items. I'll go back for sure! and the prices are decent, so worth a stop if you are in that specific area. read more

Horrible customer service and treatment of Asian clientele. I brought my mom in there so sure could by some things back to Brazil where there aren't any Asian markets and my mom began to speak Cantonese to the Asian lady working there. She blankly stared at my mom, ignored her and proceeded to speak Spanish to a maintenance guy there about how rude my mom was being expecting her to speak Chinese. She didn't know I speak Spanish and I began to remind this rude woman that she has an Asian face and works at a place called China City! We walked around the store and there were random sticks out blocking the walkways. This is when the maintenance guy started yelling at me for moving them because no one was supposed to walk there. Meanwhile there were no signs, no apologies, just rudeness that it was my wrong doing. Extremely inappropriate and appalling behavior. Over priced, stale, poor quality souvenir type items. read more

Came here primarily for Hello Kitty stuff since there's no longer any Sanrio stores in south florida and I was very pleased with their selection! Got some adorable stationary,coin purses and bento boxes Then I headed over to the bamboo and money trees and went nuts! Omg....theyve got all sizes and even the fancy twisted kind! You can choose whatever bamboo you like along with some pebbles and you're ready to make your own arrangement. And the money trees were all very healthy and lush for $12. Glad I didn't make the mistake of buying my money tree at whole foods last week for $27. It's a really big store and you'll probably spend a couple of hours here.I pretty much checked everything out except the furniture and clothing but they definitely have something for everyone. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon :) Customer service could use some improvement though and that's why I took off a star. read more

This store saved the day! I called ahead to make sure they had Chinese slippers and the selection was great! They have so many pretty things in the store. They even stayed open late for us since we drove an hour to get there and arrived 3 minutes before they locked the doors. The staff was friendly and helpful! Fantastic selection of almost every imaginable type of Chinese decor, furniture, teas, music, clothing, dried foods, swords, etc etc etc. The store is about half a block long and has pretty much anything you could ever want aside from fresh produce.
