This is a great place for brunch in downtown Bay City. They have live music and a classic Michigan menu. I ordered the walleye/smelt platter and I could tell it was fresh from the lake. read more

I have been wanting to check out this place since I moved from San Diego, CA a couple years ago. My husband decided he wanted to celebrate his bday there so we finally went. I ordered the pork belly bbq and being that I have enjoyed a lot of pork belly dishes in CA, I was really excited to try it out here! However, once I got it...the mashed potatoes were really bland, it look like a baked potato was just smashed on the plate. No seasoning or butter. The pork belly looked like it came out of an air fryer, and while it was cooked nicely, it was not worth over $20.00. My husband and daughter's food looked decent, but was not seasoned very well. The servers who helped us didn't seem to communicate because there was a mix up and they had forgotten my daughter's meal. She just sat here for 15-20 minutes after we got our food. On a good note- the restaurant is really pretty to dine in and I love the wide open space with natural light coming through. read more

After traveling from up north, I stopped part way for an overnight stay in Bay City. MI Table was the first stop and I was famished. Was excited that they had so many toppings for their pizza, including beyond meat and vegan cheese. I'll start by saying the service was pretty good. It was a slow weekday and the server was attentive and trying her best. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of items, first the champagne/sparking wine I wanted, then mushrooms, and as it turns out green peppers (they subbed red without asking, not a problem for me but could be for others). Then they asked if I wanted the "vegan" pizza crust (now the third time the waitress came back), great call if there was something in the crust to not make it vegan, but I think they were confusing it with GF, which I am not. The crust was find, but more of a store bought crust taste and the vegan cheese wasn't the meltiest, but overall pretty good. I wouldn't expect anything stellar overall, but decent for a quick(ish) bite and a drink. read more

We had a delicious lunch at MI Table! The atmosphere was fun and lively, and they had a musician playing live music for the patrons. We really enjoyed the craft soda flights, and the custom Michigan "mitten" serving board they were presented on was awesome. The bread pudding was also very tasty and filling. Definitely recommend a meal here on a Sunday afternoon! read more

One of the worst restaurant I've been to. Definitely the worst in bay city Came here for dinner and had the pot pie. Looks at the picture yourself, what about this makes you think it's a pot pie. Perhaps the chef wants to be creative but the soup is watered down, not creamy, absolutely lacks flavor. It is very acidic citrusy with nothing to balance it out Also got the winter special venison linguini. Nothing special, was bland unseasoned and most of all... COLD. seems like they make batches of these, place on the side then put marinara sauce on it. At least microwave it???? My best guess is the chef today is a 12 year old, having a bad day because daddy wont let him play league of legends or call of duty, decides to sabotage the restaurant out of puberty testosterone filled frustration There is a reason why this restaurant is empty on a friday night Good service. Feel sad the waitresses soon wont have a job, this restaurant is on its last leg read more

Ambiance - 4 Stars Service - 4 Stars Food - 3 Stars My family had brunch at Mi Table. The Space is much larger on the inside. Very open atmosphere with an attractive bar. There was outdoor seating with live music. Servers were nice and attentive. The food was not served as ordered. And the caprese avocado toast was more of a guacamole toast. Was very wet and kind of sloppy/drippy. I probably would give it 2.5 stars. The Breakfast entrees were good and were rated 3 stars. Photos aren't the best but give you an idea of the space and good. Overall was a good experience and will try them out again, will order other food next time. Love that the bathrooms are gender neutral, accessible and clean! Big hearts for that. This would be a good place to have a group or a Party. Sexy and clean atmosphere in downtown Bay City. Check them out! read more

Driving back from a camping trip up North and wanted to find a breakfast stop. Bay City and Mi Table will not disappoint! We came on a Sunday afternoon and checked out a couple of places before deciding on MI table. We were kindly greeted by the hostess who seated us outside. The ambiance! I get twinkles in my eyes! So pretty inside and outside! We opted to sit outside because of the magical area and live music, acoustic guitar to be exact! Our server Brandon was kind and immediately gave us water while we were deciding on drinks. Check out the cocktail menu made out of wood! Beautiful! Off of that menu we decided to go with the Torch Lake coffee and the Marquette Mary. The Torch Lake coffee comes with rum, amaretto, coffee, whipped cream, and almonds. The Marquette Mary is the Michigan version of a Bloody Mary with celery, venison sausage, and olive. Both were yummy choices! For brunch, my husband ordered the Steak Diane and I ordered the quiche and a biscuit. My husband loved the Steak Diane! The quiche was fluffy and fresh and came with diced potatoes. I prefer quiche with my veggies mixed in versus on top, but still great if you like fluffy and fresh eggs! I ordered a biscuit on the side. I was pleasantly surprised that my biscuit was in the shape of Michigan. Sooo stinking cute! It comes with butter. I asked for fresh jam. Options include strawberry, blueberry, and blackberry. After our meal, we got a round of cocktails - mimosa and Bellini. Loved lounging, drinking, and listening to live music. Don't forget to check out the inside. This restaurant use to be a former bank. The vault was turned into a speakeasy with stays open for people to peek inside. I did that! Super cute. read more

Great food and service! Everything was very fresh and nice knowing it helps support Michigan businesses.

Really wanted to love this place. It's unique for the area and the atmosphere looks really inviting. The star deductions are this. My burger was way over cooked. Asked for medium well and got a hockey puck. Also, the Bloody Mary was served with some Michigan made vodka. Their pitch is everything has to be made in Michigan to be served there. Get ready for a crappy bar experience. Also, I saw a bottle of Zing Zang on the counter and yet they don't serve it? Lastly, the inviting atmosphere can disappear in their open floor plan. It's a noisy place. Needs some sound baffles. I'd give them another try next time. Avoid the booze and just get a beer. read more

Lunch today was sad. The toasts on the charcuterie were completely inedible.... UPDATE: Lunch today was sad. The toasts on the charcuterie were completely inedible.. UPDATE! Management called me to discuss my review - Hella respect for that. Any company that follows up - cares. I believe the issue really came down more to the waitstaff. Delayed food delivery, lack of care for our order etc. This waitress would be better served at Denny's. We will give them another chance next time we are in Bay City. read more

Used to go every week then recently a certain bar tender began working there. 2 times in a row the bar tender with long black hair and a spray tan completely ignored us. Literally walked by us 3 times and didn't look in our direction or acknowledge us at all. Spoke to the hostess and she said it was a long ongoing issue. So dissapointing. Cool place. She is single handedly sinking it. Super sad. Last time we will ever go. Please fire the bad energy. To that bar tender. I hope you are ok. read more

Our wait for the food to arrive was about an hour. There was a large party (20 +/-) that obviously occupied the kitchen staff. Allowing a party that large overwhelmed the kitchen. Personally, the party sized needs to limited. Once the food arrived it was lukewarm. My whitefish sandwich smelled "fishy". My wife's scrambled eggs were runny, the ham was very dry. Not sure if this was a one off experience but, there are other places in Bay City that are much more consistent. As a side note, while the live entertainment was good he overwhelmed the room with the volume. He was loud, clients had to talk louder and the high ceilings just exasperated the noise. read more

This place is amazing! The building, decor, staff and food are a perfect combination for a successful, wonderful dining experience. We were treated so well by our server, Heather. She deserves recognition for her spunk and enthusiasm for this establishment. She encouraged us to walk through and I'm so glad we did, because we discovered the speakeasy hidden in the old bank vault! If it wasn't 10 am I would be sitting in there with a smooth Manhattan. But let's get to the reason we came in the first place. Breakfast! The appetizers were available all day, and the whipped feta with honey sounded like a good way to start. It was awesome, but my request would be to toast the bread for a little crunch. I ordered the avocado toast and my hubs ordered the breakfast sandwich. Everything was fresh, flavorful and displayed beautifully. I ordered a Torch Lake coffee, which had a nice, almond amaretto liquour and whipped cream. Everything here is farm-to-table with as many local places to spotlight. As a small business owner, I appreciate local supporting local. Their liquor was all Michigan made, and I can attest, Michigan makes some pretty good shit lolol. Please come support this place. I was here from out of town but came in for a concert. My future plan is to invite my foodie friends to hang in the vault! read more

First off, 5pm and they were out of short ribs and duck. It was not busy when we were there, so maybe they had a early early dinner rush. Husband got the trout. Very small. Taste of lemon only. Flavorless. He had to add pepper and salt to make it edible. I got the honey Siracha salmon. Could not taste the honey or Siracha, not much flavor, but at least cooked right. Sweet potatoes and green beans were good. Waitress very nice and atmosphere cool. read more

Food was tasty, service was great! Loved the holiday decorations and seasonal cocktail list was fun.

I went here with my husband for his birthday dinner. We will be doing a redo at some place else. The restaurant is nice inside. We ordered an appetizer of baked feta and it was missing the honey and it was lukewarm. We felt like it wasn't don't cooking. Both the items we originally ordered were out of stock, which was odd because they weren't very busy, so that was frustrating. Once we got our food it was also lukewarm. I ended up not finishing mine because it cold and lacked flavor. read more

Hailey was knowledgeable and attentive, best potato pancake ever, duck and salmon both cooked perfectly, will be back soon!

Love the Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options plus great fish options. Super clean and fun modern vibe with great service and a super fun "speakeasy/game room" plus a fun outside patio. I'm very impressed. read more

This place used to be a regular go-to for me, my friends and family. We loved Travis, but sadly he moved on. We continued going cause we love the atmosphere, but after 3 times trying to give another go we've sworn off going in MI Table ever again. The first blonde bartender that greeted me and took my order was friendly, attentive and did a great job. But the second bartender with long black hair was the absolute worst service I've ever had, it's almost as though she has a grudge against us and we've never even met her. My brother and sis in law joined me for a late.lunch and arrived about 15 minutes after me...they were not acknowledged at all, straight up ignored no eye contact, no hello...when we decided to leave we let the blonde bartender know and she mentioned that this is an ongoing issue and why MI Table continues to.lose business and in turn affecting the server's tips. My recommendation to ownership is get rid of the rotten root and let your business and employees flourish...this is such a bummer for us...we've lost our appetite and lunch was ruined. read more

When this place first opened I was so amazed. It's slowly gone downhill in everything. This place used to have my favorite brunch of eggs Benedict, they were amazing. Unfortunately they've never been as good since. Haven't been there in a long time prolly won't ever go back. read more

The music was tasty. The ambience was good. The service was extremely slow. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The food was rather minimalistic. We got six very small pieces of meat for our appetizer. There was more mustard than food.. The mustard was ordinary. The main course was fine. Not impressed with this place. I have veen to many restaurants in downtown Bay City. I do not plan on going back here, but for drinks. read more

The food here is delicious, service is always so nice and polite, the location could not be better. But why is the acoustics in this restaurant so horrible? And then they have live music too! We know we will go for dinner or lunch, not talk, and then take a walk after our meal to be able to have a conversation. Every app in the menu is wonderful, don't sleep on the cocktails and the mocktails! read more

Four of us stopped in for breakfast during the art fair. We waited for our breakfast for over an hour, and when it FINALLY was served, the eggs were so rubbery I picked them up with a fork and put them right back on top of the slop they sat on. The two that ordered pancakes and sausage were also disgusted. The pancakes were the thckness of a piece of dental floss, and the sausage was burned to a crisp. None of us will go back. Totally discussed. Not our first time there. But it is the last time. read more

The food is delicious and it's all Michigan based, it also used to be a bank and there is a bank vault you can enter and explore. But when we ordered they didn't have half the things on the menu and when I ordered a drink it came in a small plastic cup which was filled a quarter way up. We saw our server just standing around most of the time but the service was pretty good. They also had a table made of a grate from the Mackinaw bridge. Our server was really nice and didn't make us pay for our drinks because we didn't get half of what we wanted. Overall decent trying to convinc my family to go back. read more

Good food in an old bank...attentive staff...light on decor as it carries on with the former bank theme. Sitting outside listening to the live music was amazing. Great ambiance, comfortable seats, altogether very nice. The server was friendly and personable. He attempted to be as attentive as possible, but he seemed to be running everywhere, so my guess is that they were short staffed. All food and drinks were glacially, painfully slow with over an hour between our appetizer and the main course. I got the Mackinac island martini (highly recommend), the potato soup, the half chicken dinner (far too salty), and the fried fruit wontons. My family got pizzas and the beer cheese dip, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The building itself is very interesting; I believe it used to be a bank. While decorated well and trendy looking, there are no soft surfaces and there is a high ceiling so during the dinner rush, the noise was pretty deafening. read more
