My daughter went through multiple therapists for OT and early intervention, before we finally found Littleland. The comparison between all the other therapists we've tried to the Littleland therapists is truly night and day. Before finding Littleland, my daughter really wasn't making any progress, now she is regulating better and learning so many tools. They also offer feeding therapy which is very difficult to find. My daughter works with Miss Faye, Miss Shu, and Miss Marisa, and they are all so wonderful, with a special place in our hearts due to their excellence. As for the sensory-play gym it has done wonders for our sensory-seeking-kiddo. She can run, climb, swing, and get so much great proprioceptive input. It's been really great for her, because she has a hard time with transitions and it gives her extra time to regulate and play. The times available was difficult for us that we thought one of us had to quit our job just to get our twins to their appointment times. Our regional center was able to find Dynamic therapies. It was so easy to book with them, regional center was able to get occupational therapist to my house and they tried really hard to find spots for us that would be convenient. Our twins are now almost 4 and we are still going to dynamic therapies in Arcadia. We really LOVE and APPRECIATE this place! Our twins are doing so much better. They have both reached their milestones and more. I learned so much here. The therapists were always open to questions and would give me great pointers on dealing with issues or concerns I had for my twins. Our therapist for occupational was Christine Lam Kam, Eva Ching, Yorda and Edy (we are currently with). For Physical therapist - We had Sunny Holmes and Amy Macias- and for speech we have seen, Stacy, Lauren and Yelitza(we are currently with). All the therapist have been so wonderful to our twins. When he first attended he was 3yo and nonverbal, showing capacity for speech but not yet using any words. Prior to Teresa we had two other SLPs and the fit and match was never quite right (either with my son nor us as parents). Teresa has been phenomenal from the start - patient, calm, warm, engaging, and incredibly apt in her assessment and interventions with my son. He graduated from speech two months ago and the relationship he built with Teresa is so clear from his fondness of her. He has made tremendous progress, which is evident from going from nonverbal and using sounds to communicate to sentences, correct pronunciation, context, and ongoing conversation. Teresa is knowledgeable, sharp, and creative in the methods she utilizes to engage with my son. Additionally, Rosa (office staff extraordinaire) is so easy to work with and communicative. We have never had issues with scheduling, cancellations, and each visit she is so friendly that my son was disappointed if she wasn't there during a visit. All the staff are generally extremely friendly as we've had some one-off sessions with other providers over the years due to availability. For a very very brief period of time my son also had OT services but the OT therapist left the clinic and they have since stopped taking my insurance for OT. While we are extremely grateful and thankful that my son no longer meets criteria for speech services, we are sad and definitely miss the visits and relationship with Teresa and everyone at SGV speech. When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. Winter can be a bit reserved at first but Brittany helped her feel comfortable extremely quickly and built a great relationship with her. Winter was excited to see and engage with Britany, which was very helpful in getting her through the intensive program. We started myo because of Winter's severe teeth grinding, and within 5 days of starting the mouth exercises, Winter stopped grinding! We couldn't believe it but she truly stopped within that first week. We continued the program as we wanted to ensure the grinding didn't start back up and also wanted Winter to have the ideal oral resting posture in the long term. Towards the end of the program, Winter became a silent sleeper - mouth completely closed and quiet as a mouse, couldn't hear her breathe at all. She wakes up well rested and ready to go from having great sleep. Brittany was so great with Winter, firm enough to get Winter through the exercises properly but also warm and friendly so that Winter looked forward to meeting with her. Both of my children were referred, authorized, evaluated, and started the intake process together, yet weeks later we are suddenly being told they must now be scheduled on separate days and different times despite me making my expectations very clear from the beginning. I specifically explained upfront that if these accommodations could not be met, we would seek services elsewhere instead of wasting valuable time waiting through this process. Instead of listening, the office continued the process only to later tell us they could not accommodate what was already discussed. Melva contacted me multiple times only to repeatedly say there was "nothing she can do," which is unacceptable considering this issue was created by the facility's own lack of communication and scheduling consistency. She also refused to provide management or owner contact information when requested, making it even more frustrating to try and resolve the issue professionally. To make matters worse, Zoom appointments were suggested for my son despite being informed he cannot effectively participate in long virtual sessions due to focus and attention difficulties. Families seeking services deserve clear communication, honesty, and respect from the beginning -- especially when dealing with children and lengthy referral/authorization wait times. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
