Let me start with its CHEAP!! so taking that into consideration we came for lunch on a Friday. The chips seemed to not be fresh to me. They do have the thick chip which I do like most of the time. Our server was pretty good as he greeted us quickly and within about 7-8mins we had our drinks and food, no complaints there. The portions were pretty good for the cost as well. The hard shell taco and the enchilada both seemed to have stale outer shells. Overall the place is clean and probably a pretty good spot in the evenings. I would say if the price point wasn't so low I would have gone with 2 stars. I did not try the margs but plenty of people in here were so they must be good. read more

We ate here for the first time 5/20/2022. My wife had the Texas rice, l had the Pozole, something that l had never tried. In addition to the complementary chips and salsa, we ordered guacamole and queso dip. All our food was the proper temperature, served in a timely manner and absolutely delicious. Our server Ericka was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items and very efficient. I had some concerns because of all the negative reviews and 2.5 Yelp rating. I've gone here on 3 separate occasions and wanted to be sure that my review was fair and not based on a one time experience. Each time was a different day and time just to be fair. I found the food to be delicious and served with great attention in it's presentation. Each item on the plate was neatly placed and it arrived hot surrounded by it's incredible aroma which added to the experience. The menu had a wide variety of dishes at very fair prices. The locale was neat and clean. Floors and tables were kept clean as soon as they were unoccupied. The restrooms also were also a testament to the staffs attention to detail as far as food and cleanliness. I would have loved to have given this place a minimum of four stars but cannot give it more than three due to the same problem incurred on all 3 visits. The waiting times. After each visit, I overheard the complaints from my party and parties at other tables concerning the exaggerated time to get a waitress, get their order taken, receive their food and even to get their bill. Everyone seemed to be hailing a waitress like they were hailing a NYC cab. I'm not sure if it's a lack of personnel but I would not recommend this place if you're in a hurry or very hungry. The fact is you are going to wait an unnecessary amount of time. On the positive side, it's fixable. LOL First of all, food is totally good for being located in Grovetown GA. I've dined in many taquerias around Cali and Texas. Believe me when I say this. This place is just as great as if you were to eat out in Mexico. Ok not as great, since you can see Wal-Mart across the parking lot! I like Mi Rancho. I like it a lot. There's karaoke on the outside patio, and the indoor portion is well insulated from it if you would like a quieter venue. Their quail is delicious. Their carne asada tacos are standard taco-truck sized, and are packed with meat and super filling. If you get the chance to go, try the chori-queso. It's a cheese dip loaded with big meaty chunks of chorizo. It's really hearty, so come hungry if you plan on getting it! The service was prompt, and we were checked on often when it looked like there might be a lull in our meal. The server was friendly, and was very fast about bringing us more chips/salsa/drink refills. The decor was modern and cozy, and they have plenty of television screens to keep you occupied if you need it. (With subtitles, not blaring out loud indoors.) Their bar looks very nice and inviting, and it seems like a great place to come on the weekend with friends for drinking and food and karaoke. We're not sure how the 'Mi Rancho' franchise keeps having the ability to open up new locations. After having been to the location near the Augusta Market along the River, I swore I would never waste money here again. However, I was encouraged to give the new Grovetown location a try. We went there on Saturday night of Masters week 2019. They were not crazy-busy, but had a steady flow of customers. However, the entire time I was there, I only saw 3 employees. On a Saturday night. Of Masters Week. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly. However, it took over 15 minutes to get service. I wish we would have just left. But we stayed... The waitress took our order and repeated it back, which was well done. The soda machine needed the CO2 changed, essentially the soda was just syrup and water. The food arrived quickly and was standard Mexican Restaurant quality, just average. However, after our food arrived, we were just forgotten about. We couldn't get sauce, chips, or more drinks because our server just never came back. We were also charged for items we did not order, like sweet tea, etc. (Make sure you look at your itemized receipt!) I will NEVER go to another Mi Rancho. Like I said, I'm not sure how they keep having the ability to open more locations with such poor quality. I can't wait for Habanero's to open across the street, I have no doubt that it will put Mi Ranch to shame and out of business. This has to be the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I couldn't get my children to eat anything except the queso and chips. I've been here before and don't remember it being this bad. How do I start? The food was some of the worst I've ever had. I had the chimichangas with beef. I'm used to beef meaning beef tips. Nope, it was ground beef. The food was alright, not knock your socks off, but my biggest issue was ubereats brought the food to me but called about my tacos. She wanted to know what meat I wanted in them, the app didn't offer what meat or how much it would cost. My tacos went from being 3 dollars and something to 7 dollars without my knowledge or agreement. Mi rancho also charged me for to go cups once again without my knowledge or agreement. I Googled the hours for this establishment and they weren't correct. No big deal, just an hour less than what was expected. The big deal was the quality of the food and the service. I should say the lack of (on both parts). I was in a group of 11, which could be overwhelming, but we broke ourselves up since there was no seating available for us all. When the server was taking our orders my friends mother had questions on what came in what. The server couldn't answer her questions, except the type of meat. He actually wrote her off and told her he'd be back while she was in the middle of asking a question! Fast forward to us getting our food. Not really. Someone else came out multiple times trying to give us other tables' orders. After we finally did get our orders, we were ready to eat. My food was very bland (chicken taco with 2 chicken enchiladas and rice). The girl next to me ordered 2 cheese enchiladas with cheese sauce. After a few bites she was done, stating that cheese tasted off. No one remotely seemed impressed with any of the food. Now, on the particular night we went, the restaurant closed at 10. At almost exactly 10 the bussers came to our table, while people were still EATING! I know people want to go home, but damn. Can we at least get a to go box and put our sad food away so we can grimace at it the next day in the refrigerator? One of my friends politely took bowls and plates back as she was going to put them in to go boxes. We were shooed off within minutes of the last call for alcohol and closing (oddly only timed 5 minutes apart). So in all, go somewhere else for Mexican food. I'm really surprised at the negative reviews here. Maybe they've improved since other reviewers have been... I've been to Mexico and had authentic Mexican food (no, I was not at a tourist hotspot where they served watered-down versions of Mexican food). When I eat in the U.S., I don't expect the same thing, mainly because the general public (non-foodies) *wants* that watered-down version of Mexican food. Regardless, I like the food here. I've been 5 or 6 times in the last 3 months. I believe English is a second language for most of the waitstaff, but if you don't mumble/speak at a normal pace, you'll get what you ordered. Everyone is friendly and wants to make sure you enjoy your visit. Sometimes, you may find that a salsa serving bowl is slightly chipped, or the karaoke is a bit loud on the weekend, but I think if you have realistic expectations for a business tucked into a strip mall in Grovetown, you will get your Mexican fix from this food. I like the shrimp taco salad with lots of guac -- so good! My husband likes the big plate of nachos (I can't remember what the name of the dish was) -- I believe it was an appetizer, but he orders it as a main dish. read more

She rudely interrupted our presentation, forgot our drinks and got really nasty when we didn't order fast enough. Despite the fact that we reserved the space for a nontraditional holiday party they refused to turn on music so we had to turn on the TV and find music channels. Most of the food came out lukewarm or cold. Other orders were missing items or wrong. When we asked about the incorrect orders we were asked to eat the wrong food otherwise we would have to wait a while. We had to repeatedly ask for silverware and missing food. I went in to this Mi Rancho this past Friday night (Nov 30). The sign said to wait to be seated so I stood by the sign waiting. Another guy was there but he needed to pay his bill. Another guy came up to pay his bill and two different staff members took their payment and just walked away, never acknowledging me. I grabbed a menu to save time when I was eventually seated and started looking over what to order. Minutes went by and I just stood there. The place was busy, with every booth seemingly taken. The 4 tables in the middle of the room, however, were open the entire time I stood there. Then a lady came in carrying a baby in her carrier and stood sort of next to me, but behind me toward the door. Immediately a male waiter (?) walked up to her and asked if he could help her. That's when she just looked at me and the guy realized he'd skipped past me. He ran around the counter and asked if everything "was good". I told him that I was still waiting to be seated and he replied that all of their tables were full...nothing more and nothing less. I looked at all the empty seats at the tables in the middle of the room and told him I would eat somewhere else. I left. I won't be back. Since then, everybody I've spoken to about this has told me to go to El Kiosko (spelling?) instead, that they have always had problems at this Mi Rancho too, and that El Kiosko is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Grovetown anyway. read more
