I always love going to Mi Ranchito! It's a local staple that I always recommend everyone to go here when they come to town. The menu options are customer names which is so cool. I love the service and it's so popular coming here. My favorite plate is the Joe which is 2 patitos and 2 green beef enchiladas. It's delicious and I can't find these patitos anywhere like this. You need to check this place out! read more

I had really high hopes for this place. Considering it was my first time there. Everything was great customer service and atmosphere all. But i had to use the bathroom when i went inside, i found rat droppings all around the bathroom. I was trying to notify my waitress but as customers came in and the place became more erratic. I was ignored and finally brought my food but after seeing what i saw in the bathroom i quickly lost my appetite. read more

Stopped here for dinner tonight as we were passing through Colorado City on a road trip and I am so grateful we did. AMAZING food. Some of the best salsa I've ever had in my life (and being from SoCal, I've eaten many a salsa). I had the chicken fajitas and my dad had the chicken enchiladas and it was absolutely amazing. Best food we've eaten on the whole trip so far. The atmosphere and service were wonderful, as well. The owner, Christella, is so sweet and friendly and has built a truly amazing business with wonderful food. 10/10 would come back and recommend to all!!! read more

Great food. Got the Roy. A little hard to find but did not disappoint. Highly recommend it.

What a surprise! As others have said, it is not easy to find, basically hidden behind a house. There were four cars out front but when I got inside, seven or eight tables were taken. It seems there is a second hidden parking lot as well. The menu touts "green beef enchiladas". Being used to Tex-Mex where beef enchiladas are served with dark red chili gravy, I asked about the "gravy". The server told me that green chili was what they made and assured me that I would like it. Perplexed, I ordered a guacamole and went back to the menu. The guacamole was the best I've ever had and about that time six Highway Patrols, two local Police, and a Deputy walked in for lunch. Cops don't eat bad food, so I confidently asked for Green Enchiladas and a chalupa. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp, but the enchiladas were incredible. This place makes the trip to West Texas a little less painful! read more

If you are ever near Colorado City Tx you have a stop in at Mi Ranchito. The atmosphere is great and the wait staff is the best. Cris is the best. Treats you like your one of the family. Our waitress was "Kat" and I can't say enough about the great job she did. Very friendly and personable. Don't miss out if your in the area. 5stars read more

When I pulled up in front of the place, I was honestly afraid I was parking in someone's yard. Actually, this was kind of true because the restaurant is in the back yard of a small house. It's really cute inside and the owner takes a lot of pride in her place! The food was REALLY good! Although the chips weren't homemade, the salsa definitely was! My friend and I both had the stacked enchiladas with a fried egg, and they were GREAT! I had red chicken, and my friend had green beef. The beans were typical refried (not my favorite) so next time, I will ask for double rice instead. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely go back! read more

If y'all are passing through, do yourself a huge favor and stop for food. The salsa is awe inspiring and just when you think it can't get better, it does. Best Tex Amex!! Sweet tea is amazing and the wait staff even better. The owner is amazing as well. Don't take my word for it, just go there. read more

Service was terrific, Jonathan was attentive and on the spot! Chips and HOT SAUCE was awesome! And when the meal showed up, it was piping hot! Extremely quick which is what we needed since we we're traveling. This was a diamond in the rough!! We will revisit this establishment next time through! read more

While headed north headed back to Lubbock we decided to try this place based off of reviews. It looked a little weird from the outside but don't let that fool you. Walk around back and there is a wonderful patio, outside seating area, they had a small band, a swing set, and just an overall really cute set up. We got our food fast, wasn't the greatest Mexican food we've ever had. But it hit the spot and was decent. The entertainment was great, friendly staff, cold beer, and just an overall great vibe. We will be back if we are ever in the area! read more

Spent three days in Colorado City. Tried a couple of restaurants then I found this one. The nicest people I have met in a long time plus the chicken and shrimp quesadilla was excellent. Also the only restaurant in town that you can have a beer with your food. Kinda hard to find but it's worth the adventure. read more

This restaurant is great from the fresh salsa to the owner busing tables! A real home style place with great food cooked with love. Food so good and unique ! You can't find it anywhere else in Texas or USA, seriously some great fare and atmosphere. Yes it is not easy to find but We literally drive from Dallas, Texas to eat there. We would have not know of it if it had not been for word of mouth and relatives there in that sleepy little town of Colorado City. Great people, the owner Christella is a treasure.
