Being used to Tex-Mex where beef enchiladas are served with dark red chili gravy, I asked about the "gravy". The server told me that green chili was what they made and assured me that I would like it. Perplexed, I ordered a guacamole and went back to the menu. The guacamole was the best I've ever had and about that time six Highway Patrols, two local Police, and a Deputy walked in for lunch. Cops don't eat bad food, so I confidently asked for Green Enchiladas and a chalupa. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp, but the enchiladas were incredible. This place makes the trip to West Texas a little less painful!

The enchilada's green sauce is a bit different than most, with a great pronounced tomatillo tang, and their rellenos are my favorite type - breaded & fried, not egg-wrapped. Really, really good. And their tacos are so good (if sometimes a little over-fried), they do them dorados style, where they're stuffed with beef then deep fried. I love them! The table salsa has never been my favorite, but it'll do, and seems better than in the past, tbh. And it's so good drizzled into the tacos. But finally, the quiet, unassuming star of the plate... the guac chalupa? HOW is this thing that good? Both my daughter and I were stuffed, but kept going back for one more bite of the chalupa.
