Los Amigos Grill And Bar - Bar area Devour Big Spring Best Pizza in West Texas. Overall 5* food - Bars Near Me - Big Spring, Texas

Amazing food and margaritas!!! Here for work and we will be going back before leaving!

The food is mediocre at best. I ordered tacos al pastor and I didn't even finish half of one. It was nothing but fatty meat. You can only order 2 or 4 tacos at a time. I'm pretty sure the beans are from a can. The waitress never came and asked if things were ok. Someone was playing music on their phone but kept getting Snapchat/ text updates so that was annoying. 2/5. Will not come again. read more

We decided to have a late Sunday lunch here. I really like the fact that I can get caldo (Soup) here! I ordered Caldo de Rez (Beef, cabbage, carrots, celery, some other unfamiliar veggie-onions, cilantro, and piece of corn cob, served w Mexican rice) and corn tortillas. My husband had green beef enchiladas, with rice, beans, salad. We also ordered an order of Mexican guacamole. Chips were also brought to our table and they have an area with all sorts of salsa's and grilled jalapeños available. So I'll start with our guacamole review first. It was served quickly with tostadas that were light, thin, warm. The avocado was fresh and tasty. My meal, which was Caldo de Rez was good, but could have been better. I could not taste any spices such as cumin, garlic, or salt. Of course I added salt and pepper but had to add salt several times. Food should always have salt added while being cooked. Then it can be seasoned after being served. I understand some people add too much salt while cooking, but with caldo, if this happens. Just add more water or stock broth. I asked for more cilantro since it lacked spices and this helped a lot. Veggies were cooked perfect and corn tortillas were served warm. The beef was tender, but a little chewy. The side order of rice was cold, so I just added it to my caldo. I'll probably order this meal again, but I'll probably bring extra spices in my purse . I love Caldo but it's not served in many Mexican restaurants here. My husbands meal was the enchiladas. They were actually very tart/sour. I'm guessing they use tomatillos in their green sauce recipe. He gave me a taste and I couldn't taste any green chili in it, so my guess it only has the tomatillos in the sauce. He won't have them again. Rice and Beans were cold. Salad was fresh with slice of fresh avocado. Our server was not very attentive, also this place is a little pricey for our area. So I'm sure we'll be back, but not frequently. read more

Great food, friendly folks! Large portions and great value. Highly recommend. Limited English but that adds to the authenticity

This restaurant has been reinvented a few times since I've been coming to Big Spring- I heard a mixed bag of reviews about the new ownership. We decided to try this out for a business/family dinner. This place is on point if you and your boys want a spot to chill, drink and sing at the top of your lungs to the songs of your yesteryears. Drinks were on point once we had service. Food was mediocre, once we had service. Service was slow, but was to be expected from all reviews of this restaurant. One remarkable piece of memorabilia on display in the bar area is an ATL Falcons on the field helmet, Fly Dirty Birds, Fly! We will be back when it's a night of drinking rather then a dinner occasion- read more

Clean restaurant and friendly staff. I like the homemade chips and the salsa bar is great. The flautas and the avocado on top hit the spot and my husband said the tacos were good. There is also a little store inside that has Mexican candy and apparel. Give it a try and support a local business. read more

This small restaurant was teeming with locals from the busy parking area to the dining room. There is a full liquor bar and a self serve salas bar with limes, cilantro, jalapeño, onion and other items to dress your taco's and meals. The food is authentic and cheap with few options for vegetarians. Attached to the restaurant is a convenience store of sorts offering everything from soda, canned goods and Mexican candy to work boots and cooking implements. read more

Looking for some good mexican food ...... Still looking. The meal started out with excellent chips and salsa bar. But when the meal finally arrived (40 minutes after ordering) it left much to be desired. Enchiladas were mediocre, made with canned sauce and served with canned refried beans. The caldo de pollo (chicken soup) was completely lacking of any kind of spice and flavor. It tasted like boiled leg quarters with a few veggies thrown in. I am willing to pay $10 for a bowl of soup, but I expect it to be really tasty. Looking through other reviews I see there are some satisfied customers, but most don't mention what they ordered. Service - never offered a refill on drinks. Never asked if things were ok, even when it was obvious that 75% of the food ordered was uneaten. I rate it 2 stars based on the strength of chips and salsa alone. Bottom line- I certainly won't go back. read more

The food here is fresh and delicious. It's a nice change from all the other Mexican restaurants in town that are over priced and the food is bland and all the same. The food here is really good and you get a lot for the price! I have eaten here 4 times so far and ordered different things and have not been disappointed. The service is also very nice and welcoming so that's a plus. They also have a store attached to the restaurant and have a lot of Mexican goods that you can't really find anywhere else in town so I think that is nice. Overall it's worth coming to check out. The menudo here is really good and you get a lot they don't skimp out at all and the price for a large is reasonable unlike other places that over charge for a small. read more

Yes! I feel like this restuarant was the closest to real authentic mexican food. THAT I HAVE TRIED SO FAR. Everything else around here is tex mex and I'm not really into tex mex ,just because I grew up eating authentic mexican food.Shoot, I wasn't going to try them out because of a lot of these bad reviews! But, i'm very grateful I gave them a chance! I mean I could go somewhere and finally ask if they have salsa verde and the red sauce! I don't even have to ask! There's a whole salsa bar/buffet for it! I have not seen that anywhere in town! I understand where everyone is coming from with the menu, it should explain in english what's on it. I mean, I can't read in Spanish but I can see whats on the pictures. The food was great for me, not the best. Because I'm used to Dallas Ft.worth top ingredients. Portions were very filling. It will definitely be our go to spot.My service was excellent. Our waitress spoke english and asked us if we needed help with the menu and checked up on us pretty often.Yes, the pricing was a bit higher. But I don't mind paying the extra for good food. But I do really hope they stay open! read more

I've never had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant but I do go to the meat market side. The service is always horrible on that side of the business. Never any service and when you ask you get a rude ay voy and still takes forever to get what you need. The last time I didn't get any help after the ay voy. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Had to send our food back 3 times, for us to just say we didn't want it. We kept a level head throughout the entire experience. After sending it back yet again to be reheated (NOT remade, put in a microwave over and over), we just said it's okay we didn't want it at this point and to just forget about it. When we were given our bill, we were charged $30 for EVERYTHING. When we went up to the counter to pay, we tried explaining the situation to the cashier, who ended up cutting us off in the middle of us talking and saying "they already told me". When we expressed our concerns and basically said we shouldn't have to pay for something that had two bites taken out of it and sent back three times, they did what any good manager would do. Took $1 off the bill! Yes, $1. Well as we kept saying that we shouldn't have to pay for everything we were constantly told "well you have to and are going to pay for everything". I ended up paying for everything but that meal, after being yelled at in Spanish and treated poorly. She finally split it and said "you still owe $9." My boyfriend kept apologizing (mind you, after being yelled at and been rude to) and said he was going to tip the waitress $5. So we ended up paying $26/$30 for food that was cold and wasn't even ate. We were told "you shouldn't have ate it if it was cold. If you eat it, you pay for it". There were two bites eating, which were after it was heated to make sure it was hot, which it wasn't. Then we were chased out by the manager (who was the one yelling) who took a picture of our car for not paying $4. Would never go back. I'm sure if it was any other person of the same race, they would not have been this way towards them. Never would recommend for anyone to go here. read more

I really like the decor and ambience of the restaurant. We are in Big Spring visiting family and tried Los Amigos for lunch. We loved the white queso dip they also have two kinds of salsa on the table a green and a red both were good. Their corn chips were the best , very thin fresh crispy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes the portions were large . I had the guisado verde and it was very good also very spicy which I love but don't order this if you are not a spicy fan. My favorite thing was the fresh corn tortillas the best I have had in a long time. Others in our party ordered the enchiladas, tacos al pastor and fajitas. They all said their dishes were good. They have some very authentic Mexican dishes such as menudo and tripe on the menu. This is not your usual Tex Mex place . You should try it. read more

Stopped in for a beer and maybe some nachos but I can't give you a review on the food because it never got that far. The one star rating is for customer service or the lack if it. From the moment me and my buddy walked in, we felt our business was unwanted as we were stared down by several of the patrons and once we sat at the bar, the bartenderress ignored us, not one glance in our direction or even a I'll be right with you. Seems like if you're not a local or don't possess a certain brownish tint on your epidermis, then your business is not welcome. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if your name is Joe and not Jose. read more

It's good when it's good, but they seem to almost always forget utensils & refills. Very short handed, it's stressful at times.

Salsa bar is great. Red beef enchiladas were good, beans great, rice ok. Lunch menu would be beneficial too much food.

Certainly not 4 1/2 stars. Only thing good was the chips. It was dirty and they had no sour cream (ran out - so send someone to the grocery store and get some) read more
