The servings are large so if you decide to order an entree or two, it might be worth sharing. We ordered two entrees to split between three people and oh, my we were full within minutes and couldn't finish the food! We took half the food to go. The owners are so friendly and nice--we enjoyed our conversation with them. They are a hard working couple and thoroughly enjoy filling bellies and doing it with a smile. We have been here now for dinner and for breakfast. excellent. The portions are very large, and worth the higher than average prices. This isn't your old "combination #1" Mexican place. Enormous hamburger and fresh cut fries were good. Burger was quite well done for our taste, but I am certain he would cook less of house asked. Al pastor, barabacoa, tamales, all are among the best I've had on the road. Tamales tender and not skimpy on meat .... pastor and barbacoa cooked fresh, tender, moist, and lots of flavor. Breakfast was breakfast foods done well. Large eggs, the bacon was good quality and not tissue thin. The pancakes were the size of a dinner plate. All served on a 14" platter on a lazy susan. You HAVE to get these tender, mild pancakes. Just butter or butter and syrup. Fresh grated hashbrowns potatoes. The menu is a guideline ... the owner-cook will make the meal you want. If he has it, he'll serve it however you want it. It makes having a satisfying meal easy, and he cooks very, very well. If it is slow, the owner will come chat you up. We'll be back. read more

Well, I trusted Yelp, otherwise based on the exterior, we would not have stopped. It looks like the office for a run down motel, but they welcomed us in and we sat down. It took us a few minutes to decide what to order, so Chef Luis came out to the table. He said simply, "What do you have a taste for? Unlike your house, you're the boss in this kitchen! I'll make you anything you want!", and he did! I had the Carne Asada Plate, which was true skirt steak nicely marinated and cooked to perfection. Saw that this was the only place in Snyder with 5 stars so there was no debate. Parked, walked in and had some doubt. There was no customers eating and the owners were having lunch. Walked into a restaurant that was freezing cold. Chairs were uncomfortable as heck. The bug zapper inside the restaurant was a fine touch. I ordered cheese enchiladas and when it finally arrived it was basically a big plate of melted cheese. I like cheese as much as the next person but the enchiladas, beans and rice were literally buried under a huge mound of melted cheese. Just way, way too much cheese...on CHEESE enchiladas! I couldn't taste anything but cheese! I give it 2 stars because the staff was very friendly. I may try it again but I think I will steer clear of the Mexican plates.
