We been coming here before Covid the food was still good til now just have to come during non busy hour which is before lunch. We order two burritos, this meat ball soup, some tacos were all delicious with no complaints. Service was good. Inside might not in great shape but it's still dine with no problem just limit that's all. But other than that I would recommend it I don't give bad review if it wasn't good. I am on the hunt for fantastic Mexican food near home. I stopped in here on the way home from work, determined to get some solid bean & cheese burritos & maybe a side of guacamole and chips. When I walked in, I wasn't really sure what to expect. There were about 3 men sitting around waiting for their food, but it was pretty empty aside from that. The place looks very old and outdated, with one area of the walls covered in mirrors. I walked up to the counter and ordered 2 full sized bean & cheese burritos. I guess they have small ones that they offer for $2.50 (that was the price listed on their menu). I asked if they had guacamole and they said no, just avocado... oh well. I was told to wait for my food and that I would pay when my food was ready. That was interesting... They didn't have a chip or salsa bar of any sort, so I guess I was just going to get burritos for the evening. When my food was ready, I went up and paid. It came to about $14. The staff is super nice and attentive, and honestly this place has the best burritos ive had from a mexican restaurant. I usually get a carnitas super burrito and its the best comfort food. I would say 5/10. The food could have been better.I like flavor to my asado meat. The meat had absolutely no flavor which makes the taste entirely not the best. Had it with salsa & lemon -still not flavorful for the super asada taco . Tried out the chicken taco super & I took 1 bite and not sure why but it tasted like chorizo , almost like a breakfast burrito taste which was weird. The tortillas are huge which I liked . And everything was super so we kind of expected pico de gallo , guac like most super tacos come with but it just came with the meat , cheese & lettuce- (didn't mind the lettuce) . Yo I would give this place a Michelin Star if I could! This place is the most underrated Mexican joint in the Bay Area, simply because it's a little jaded inside. I've had the tacos, sopes, burrito, torta, and most recently, the al pastor fries. The formers have been 11/10. Each time I get something from this restaurant, it only gets better! Literally, who thinks of using CURLY fries for your typical carne asada/al pastor fries. Genius. I work nearby and so have been going there for years. I used to like getting their burritos for lunch, but they stopped using whole beans and their re-fried leave much to be desired. They are ok on their inexpensive breakfast burritos so I was still going there up until a couple weeks ago. The people there are pretty unfriendly and try to get them to give you two small plastic containers of sauce. It's like squeezing blood from a turnip. The last time I went there, and the last time I will go there, I came in around 8 in the am. No one else was there and the woman working the griddle had no business at that time. I ordered 3 bacon egg and bean breakfast burritos and sat down to wait. A guy came in and ordered and stood at the counter waiting. Then a box van pulled up outside and three guys got out and came in, ordered and went next door to the 7-11. I sat there and watched her cooking. She started assembling small breakfast burritos after a while (about 10 minutes) and then gave the guy at the counter his order. The three guys from the box van came back and got their order, and she said she was then going to start mine. I hadn't paid yet and this was the final straw for this place. I had been treated rudely for the last time there so I walked out. I won't be treated like a second citizen for less than mediocre Mexican food. read more

How does this place have anything more than 2 stars?! It's filthy, outdated, and the food "ain't even that good." Two tacos and one super quesadilla. Nothing special. Since the food was "alright" I couldn't help but look around the "Rancherita" to count how many spider webs are inside. The tables didn't look clean and only God knows the last time they took off the table cloths to actually clean the tables. The paintings were broken. The mirrors dirty. The chairs were sticky. Oh and when you look up, you'll see cutout colored paper snowflakes with spider webs forming their own decorations. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. C'mon Mi Rancherita! Always thought this was a very good place to eat until this time.. Ordered 4 ground beef tostadas. When we opened the boxes at home I was flaborgasted. Our tostadas were so greasy they were literally swimming in grease. Not sauce, grease. We couldn't eat them and they went straight to the trash. When I called to let them know, the blame was passed to someone else, and I was told "there IS alot of oil in the ground beef". It's called strain the oil before you serve it. Being a first timer I decide to go with a simple order of a Burrito with just Carne Asada, rice & beans - I found a nice park to eat it, open the foil: The tortilla was saturated in grease & it got all over my hand - everywhere! I drove back & told the man there that this was unacceptable, he told me they would make another. He handed me another burrito & off to my truck I went. He took my order over the phone and had it ready by the time I got there. He was very friendly. I had ordered "pozole" it was a little spicy and but very good! This place is in an old small strip mall and is not much to look at, but they have some pretty decent food here and the employees are always friendly. There are pictures of dishes which is helpful because I always have trouble making decisions and a picture helps! Pozole is one of my favorite dishes, and they do it well! I always have to ask for a to go container because they are generous with servings here. Another dish I like here is the garlic shrimp. I'm addicted to this place. I've come here at least once a week for the past month. Carne asada is sooooo good. Charred, flavorful, crunchy, and with bits of tendon. They also use fresh tortillas for their tacos. All of this makes me overlook the flies, their lack of customer service, and no (legit) salsa bar. And depending on who's working, you may or may not get salsa. No, i'm not talking about the red or green ones they leave out. The one with real tomato chunks is like a secret menu thing or something. You can ask, but you might not always get it. Sometimes they'll put it on your plate of chips, but when you ask for more, they usually just give you the same salsa that they leave out. If you are serious about your carne asada super nachos, look no further. These are the REAL DEAL. Chips piled high with beans, REAL cheese (not that nacho cheese garbage), carne asada FOR DAYS, all topped off with pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and jalapenos ... sliced lengthwise. Sometimes, they'll put whole slices of avocado in place of the guac. They don't use store-bought chips, either; I've seen them cut and fry their own. They're much thicker, crispier, and most of the time, they'll be piping hot. So bad for you, yet sooooo delicious. If you're worried about serving size, you shouldn't be; there are plenty. You have to be an absolute BEAST in order to finish these on your own. Case in point: I once shared an order with the hubby and the kid, and we were all pretty damn full afterward ... and he is by no means a small guy! The guy at the register is friendly and the staff is the same. They have a little pan area which makes me want to eat more but the men there se dice "Ten Cuidado" lol I guess they know I eat a lot. I ordered a Super Burrito which was $6.74 (wow!) and asked for the recommended meat filling. Picked out chicken and asked for light on the rice. On the dot, big burrito to order but I did notice a couple surprise pieces of pork (might want to be sure to pay attention to that for other orders). I'll consider it a 'treat' :) So maybe next time I swing on by I will order some of their other items for a PARTY!! read more

This taqueria is definitely under rated. Located next to 7/11 and a hair salon you wouldn't think much of this place. They have delicious tacos al pastor and the carne asada is delicious. The tacos come with two tortillas and so much food that you'll have enough for two. Like Joyarie said, the nachos are made fresh and piled high. I had to save portions of it for later.
