I went to La Colima, El Fogon and Con Sabor a Mexico and loved all of them, El Fogón being my favorite. At La Colima I had the birria de chivo and a pupusa and they were both very good, the pupusa especially. The broth for the Birria was pretty good and the meat was very tender. I got three big chunks of goat in the Birria and while I wasn't happy with the amount of fat on each of them, that's to be expected with whole chunks of goat meat. The repollo (pickled cabbage) that came with the pupusa was very good. And the house-made tortillas that came with the birria were fantastic.

It smelled great and there were plenty of locals which is always a good sign, the gal at the counter was friendly and food came out pretty quick, but food was BLAND af- literally everything, bland!!!! Two thumbs down on this one

Sometimes they'll have tacos, salsa, a complete meal but it sells out of stuff and the only real guarantee is the carnitas. It's only open on the weekends and sells out of items, closes early so plan accordingly. There's a Mexican store around the corner that serves cold drinks and fantastic freshly made tortillas and salsa. It makes for a nice picnic at the Railroad Park across the square. I like to take home extra carnitas to have in the fridge to add to several meals throughout the week. It appears they have a sister store in Yakima that may have a complete menu besides the carnitas. It's probably amazing I will have to check it out soon.
