I was here on Saturday early brunch hours. Food is a 10/10 for the area. You can tell its a rundown hole in the wall, but aren't great places always a hole in the wall... It has plenty of outside seating if you prefer. I had the mushroom and spinach quesadilla, a barbacoa sope, my son had 4 tacos and my sister had a pastor quesadilla, hubby had a combination plate. Mind you all plates had rice and beans, plus 2 aguas frescas, not even $40 dollars. Im from Portland so im used to $65+ check for the amount of food I ordered. I can see how at one time, this place could have been a hit. I was really disappointed with the amount of flies and fly traps. The tables were not bussed or wiped down. There was used foot plates going through the food window, the one where food plates normally come Out from. The restaurant needs cleaning. Pest control needed. Beef was not chewable in the burrito. Fantastic tacos! Definitely on par with those I've had in San Francisco, LA, and San Diego. They make the tortillas as you order and have a selection of 5 different meats. They also have quite a few flavors of horchata and Agua frescas. We tried the regular horchata, which was great, and the strawberry horchata, which kind of reminded us of strawberry nesquick mixed with horchata. The tacos are $1.50 each and there's a 3 tacos with rice and beans meal for $5. The menu is very no frills but everything we tried was really delicious. Was passing through Yakima, unfamiliar with the territory, but so happy we came upon this gem. These authentic, real deal tacos were insanely delicious and with the fresh tortillas, it took me back to times spent in Mexico. Friendly, fast, very inexpensive and had a beautiful patio with covered huts. Next time im in Yakima, ill make it a point to eat some lunch here and will be ordering way more tacos than I did this time. Check this place out, don't miss it. read more

Very good price for amazing food! As a very picky eater I was delightfully surprised as the quesadilla was sizable and the meat was juicy with scrumptious cheese all wrapped within a delicate maíz, corn, tortilla. Came near closing time yet had a fantastic meal here with pleasant staff. My food came within 10 minutes and was prepared in front of me. Parking lot was empty but could easily be filled during earlier hours. A couple people were there as well. The decor was beautiful and gave the place a great ambiance. My only protest would be the restroom and tables. They could use a little cleaning but other than that this is a great spot for Mexican dining. read more

We also had some of their freshly made juices/horchata, which were awesome! We sat outside, and the ambience was like a little slice of Mexico. We are so excited to have found El Noa Noa! The food is fresh and delicious. Some of the best street tacos we have found in the Yakima area. And who can pass up a quesadilla made with a homemade tortilla?! The strawberry horchata is so good! Make sure you have cash to pay as they are a cash only business. The exterior of their restaurant was what drew me in initially; the seating area outdoors is decorated beautifully with plants and colorful umbrellas that provide great shade! You have the option for takeout, indoor or outdoor seating. The ordering service was a little slow, but understandable as they only had one staff member available to take orders from customers inside AND outside the restaurant. The menu outdoors is written in Spanish on a bright pink poster and they accept both cash and card! I ordered two quesadillas de chicharrón which comes with a portion of white rice, beans, and a little container of green salsa. It was very tasteful and filling! The chicharrón is on the spicier side so if you cannot handle spicy food, steer clear of the chicharrón. You can't go wrong with their aguas. We were driving through and we needed some late lunch. We decided to choose El Noa Noa, and I'm glad we did so. They have excellent prices, delicious food and very pretty outside seating. It's very colorful, as you can see from the pictures attached. El Noa Noa also has inside seating with booths and air conditioning. I ordered the Quesadillas and Tacos and the beef was well cooked, the rice and beans were super tasty. They are a little spicy, but it wasn't too much. I recently read a slightly facetious article online that said one of the worst things about moving to Yakima is that you become very picky with your Mexican food. We have found this to be the case, because just about every new place we try is one of the best places we've ever tried! El Noa Noa is the newest addition to the boss Mexican food club. We stopped into the Wapato location after seeing some good reviews online and quickly found it to be one of the favorite Mexican spots we've been to in a long time. The place is incredibly colorful and has pretty equal seating indoors and outdoors. The patio area has seating for 20 or 30 people and tons of umbrella coverage. Even on a day when I was in the mid 90s, it was very comfortable eating outside. There may be menus that are available, however we never saw one. We based our ordering off of recommendations we found online. Everybody said get the tacos and the quesadillas. I must say that we were a little bit skeptical about ordering a simple quesadilla, but enough people had said they were legit that we decided to give it a try. Our recommendation is that you too order the quesadilla! We got ours with Carne Asada and boy howdy was that good! They make it on the grill top and crisp it just a little bit. The meat was really good and the cheese was very melty - it wasn't so big that you had a hard time finishing it, but also not so small that you were wanting more. It literally was delicious and just the right size. The lunch plate special came with two quesadillas, some beans and a small amount of rice. Everything just worked together really nicely. The rice turned out to be really handy as both the red and green sauces were packing quite a bit of heat. Next, we got a taco plate which included for tacos - we went with two adobada and two al pastor. Both were quite lovely, I just the right amount of cilantro and onion on them, and were absolutely grilled to perfection. They were definitely a couple standard deviation's above the mean, but ultimately it's what we've come to expect from the area. In the last two states we've been in, these werefar and away the best thing available, but now it's ultimately what we expect everything to taste like. The options for beverages were also plentiful. A number of flavored lemonade's, a couple types of horchata and a few other delicious looking options. We opted for a mango lemonade. It was 24 ounces and served with the telltale sign of something delicious...a ladle - it was really good! After getting done ordering The guy added it up and told us our total came to $11.... Seriously 11 bucks for enough food to feed like four people! The folks working behind the counter where a very nice gentleman and the number of ladies who reminded me of his panic versions of my grandma. The type of ladies that cook you dinner and you just want to give a hug! As previously stated, the Mexican food in this town is out of this world, and this spot definitely stands among the top couple of places in the area. Who knows though, the next place we go maybe one of the best we've ever tried again - It's definitely been a trend since getting back into town! read more

I'm still a fan. The gentleman, known as "Tio" to me no longer works. I think he retired from the place and is now enjoying himself. Food is still good, same lady from the start that cooks the food. I was just a little concerned with the cleanliness. Don't get me wrong the place is cute, the servers are friendly but it can use a helping hand for the place to tidy up a bit.
