    2 Corn Empanadas - Beef
    Tabitha D.

Meat -check ,flavor- check, affordability -check. This was My first introduction to Venezuelan food and boy oh boy - delicious. I was craving some empanadas and landed on this place. I tried: 1 chicken empanada 1 beef empanada 1 beef arepa The portions are huge. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant and the staff were kind. Some don't speak English, but they know their way around. I would definitely be back.

Wow! The best cachapa de pollo mechado I have ever tasted ! Patacon pisao tasted like chips next to it. The service needs some work, seems very relaxed and the space is pretty cool! Makes you feel like you are out of the country. Love this place !

There are so many menu options, it was tough to choose but I ended up ordering passion fruit juice, a small chicken sancocho, and patacon con carne mechada. The juice was refreshing and made with real passion fruit. The sancocho was rich in flavor with a good portion of vegetables and chicken. And the patacon, damn. So good. I got it with platanos maduros because I love the sweet and savory combo. Highly recommend this spot!

The cachapa was so good! The patacon with shredded beef was pretty good as well. This is a pretty small place with poor ventilation so I would definitely try again but probably take the food to go.

Can you spell OMG? I was in Orlando visiting for a convention and was hungry. The closest place to me was this little spot. I was apprehensive at first cause it looked like a outdoor mall joint (which I'm not used to coming from Cali). We started off with an order of empanadas . . . the carne molido (ground beef) and pollo (which was their shredded beef. Then we ordered a small sanchocho and another dish (forgot the name and it's not on the menu posted). But it was supposed to be pork belly, avocado, sauce, and other meats over arepas. The food took a while to be made . . . like 30 mins. But let me tell you it was so worth the wait!!!! The waitress was super helpful esp. with my Spanish being maybe 3rd grade level. Hahahah The Apollo and carne molido were so yummy. The ingredients were fresh and well seasoned. It wasn't too greasy and thoroughly cooked, no doughy texture. Then the soup was a delicate blend of veggies, an abundance of super tender chicken pieces, and of course the base of the soup. It had carrots, I think celery, and cayote in it. It was the perfect savory compliment to the empanadas or even by itself. The last dish was very tasty and satiating as well. There were huge pieces of what was supposed to be pork but our had tender slices of steak cooked to perfection. It had a little pink, but not raw and it was tender and savory and the best tasting steak I've ever had. It also came with avocado, small pieces of cabbage (like a slaw) and arepas on the bottom. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh and mixture blended well together. When I visit I will be going back and hopefully take some stuff back home to Cali with me!!! This place is a MUST!!!!

My husband had the Peruvian shrimp with yellow rice, salad, and black beans. We were both raving about the taste while eating. They have a range of dishes from across Latin America, and lots of gluten free options. They aren't safe for celiacs though. They use a shared fryer. If you are super sensitive or have celiac, just beware of that. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in the theme parks area near Orlando. You should not miss this restaurant. Try something new if you've never tasted Latin American cuisine, or try it if you've grown up with it. You won't go wrong and you'll likely be back.

Sofrito was amazing…read more We wanted something fast, but not fast food with a large seated area outside. This checked off all of our boxes. You order at a kiosk fast food style, but all of the food is then prepared freshly and authentically. They have a huge menu with all kinds of delicious Latin eats like sandwiches and platters. We absolutely loved our Cuban sammies which came on thick and sweet bread. My kids kept it simple with tenders and fries and also enjoyed! They have a big drink selection and you can find everything from juices to fresh cocktails. The biggest hit was their large indoor screened patio - perfect for my kids to run around. If you want to avoid fast food but also don't feel like taking your kids to a proper sit down restaurant than this is a really great option.

Ok this has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando and I loved the food so much. Alfredo was my…read moreserver and he had the best recommendation and I loved it. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

I live close, so have come here quite a bit over the year…read more Pro- Just got renovated, so it looks pretty. The staff is nice, and the food is good. They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.
