Mi Jalisco will certainly give La Carretta a run for their money with their high quality Mexican food! My party ate on the patio tonight with some friends for the first time since restaurants began reopening in NH. I ordered the French Margarita which featured St. Germain elderflower liqueur as a supplement to the standard beverage. For dinner: Chori Pollo, which consists of a marinated chicken breast covered in chorizo sausage and melted cheese with a side of refried beans and rice. The patio was nice but the traffic from South Willow street was loud and a bit disruptive. This is an uncontrollable element of dining outside in Manchester and not the fault of the business. The service was however just okay, as multiple waiters attempted to take our orders through the evening due to confusion of table ownership. There was also some long wait times between ordering, receiving our meal, and having a follow up to order more drinks. However, I'm a firm believer the every restaurant goes through some kinks especially when reopening after a global pandemic. The food was good and the waitstaff were still all-around kind and friendly. Couldn't bring myself to give lower than a 4 star review! Tips to management: ensure your servers have a solid understanding of the procedures and operations after returning from a hiatus. Staff is super nice and attentive, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming and the food was not unpleasant. If you're used to gringo mexican food and want something about one notch above Taco Bell, definitely try this place out. While the food was good tasting, it was no where near authentic and left some things to be desired. The house margarita tasted like store bought mixer with a dash of tequilla. Ive gotten better ones at applebees. The sophapillas were the biggest let down. I only tried them to see how they were making them in this climate, and i was given an over spiced puff pastry. I ordered the burrito deluxe through DoorDash tonight. When the food arrived and I opened the container, I knew right away that something was spoiled. I tried the beef and that seemed to be fine. When I tried the chicken, I knew right away that it was beyond spoiled. I called the restaurant letting them know that the chicken had tasted spoiled. The woman put me on hold and when she came back, she stated that she had notified the kitchen and that there have been no other complaints. Instead of saying "sorry about this, is there something else that I can get for you?", she tells me to take it up with DoorDash. Last time I checked, DoorDash does not cook the food. I would have even gone there to pick it up, but there was no offer or effort even made. I have always been a loyal customer but it is time to move on. One of the best Mexican restaurants I been to here in the east coast I am from Cali so I am very picky . Felt like I was home again

As soon as we walked in we were just stared at, no hello or anything. Eventually the girl at the front asked how many of us were in the party then seated us in the corner. After about 10 minutes the same girl brought over e complimentary chips and salsa, without saying a word, then walked away. 20 minutes passed and we hadn't even been greeted by a server to ask about drinks. As we watched another table get served on (came in after us) we decided to just leave. We asked if they wanted money for the chips and salsa and they rudely said no, and we just left. It should also be noted that there was another server who was seen once every 10 minutes, she would bring one cup back from a dirty table each time then just disappear. Food has been good in the past but the rude workers, and lack of customer service today just turned us off from the restaurant. read more

Went in as live very close by and really wanted it to be awesome so that we could go often! Exact opposite! We sat @ the bar and pretty much were ignored for about 5 minutes, if I had been with my husband, we would have left but my sister-in-law and I are a bit more forgiving. Chicken Nachos were extremely good but service was poor and slow. We ordered to go for guys back @ home and sat @ the bar without a beer/drink until the order came out as bartender never asked if we'd like another. Food brought home, wings and burrito were not great!!(rated by our husbands) It really is too bad as would love to give another try but do not like being ignored. Amazing Food had a delicious like never before Taco Salad on Saturday ~ the portion was plenty and food amazingly so fresh ~ the beef taco bowl was perfect and even better reheated the second day ~ it was so filling I could not eat all of it at once ! We were excited to see a new Mexican restaurant in town, so we tried it today for lunch. Finally, a place that reminds us of our local spots in So. Cal.! The music, house-made chips and true HOT salsa (on request) were a great start. Nice atmosphere, including a fireplace. There was a good selection of lunch specials. The chile rellenos, chicken burrito and chicken enchilada were very good. Next time, the true test - carnitas. Looking forward to next week and sharing the experience with friends. Oh yes, the staff! I live about a mile away from Mi Jalisco and was excited to see if this could be a new local haunt for a good margarita and food. I'm happy to say both were excellent! I wish I had taken a few pictures to share. The place looks great with recent renovations. I love the bar area with the lighting, TVs and a decent beer selection on tap. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. My fiancé and I ate here a few months ago and had the most unpleasant experience. We ordered the nachos appetizer and didn't like the way the meat and queso mixture tasted. Fine. When we got out entrées we told the waitress that we were done with the nachos and declined when she offered to pack them to go. She asked if there was something wrong with them and we politely said that we didn't care for them. So she decided to let the manager know and then kept coming back to our table pushing us for a more specific reason why we didn't like them. Eventually we caved and, as politely as we could, told her that the taste of the meat resembled spam. She relayed that to the manager who then approached our table to, AGAIN, ask us to explain why we didn't like the nachos. He was not friendly or approachable and made us feel very uncomfortable. His attitude felt intimidating. We told him what we told her. He responded by telling us that he went out back and tasted the meat himself and he felt it tasted perfectly fine and found no issue with it. He was not apologetic. His attitude was pretty much that of "Well it tasted fine to me so clearly you have no idea what you're talking about." He did remove the cost of the nachos from our bill, which we appreciate, but he made us feel like we should've been ashamed that he had to do that. Let's keep in mind here that we DID NOT want to complain. We didn't like the taste, period. We were perfectly fine with paying for it and enjoying the rest of our meal, which we sadly did not.get the opportunity to do. We were pretty much the first customers they had when they opened. We were there every Friday night. Until Covid shut down. We went back to soon as it opened. Every time we get takeout. The order is wrong or missing something. We are very good-natured and they have taken care of us for the most part. But it happens every time! Last night we made a point of telling the waitress exactly how the tacos had to be made for a picky kid. She related her own sons story. When it came out it was wrong. They grudgingly remade the tacos the right way. They were not cooked all the way, and never apologized. We were not happy. Because the rest of our $80 take-out order was now cold. The manager came over and asked us if we were upset? And said what do you want? We remade the tacos. So for four tacos. They lost a loyal weekly customer forever! Don't know who the manager was on Friday, September 18 at 8 PM. But she was horrible! read more
