They told me that because they were a smaller store, they didn't order large quantities of meat, so that's why it always tasted fresh. On weekends, they have barbacoa and carnitas. I am not crazy about their carnitas, but their barbacoa is my favorite of any place in the suburbs. It's not as much as other places and they give you a decent amount of the caldo that comes with it. I also like that it has basic grocery necessities, so if you are in need of something, you can pick up there too. The cashiers are kind and courteous. It's a great little store.

The only thing that even partially fresh from their bakery are the single serve donuts. Since they only have one staffed checkout lane out you get stuck going to the self checkout area, where I get accused of stealing near every time by the gestapo machines. Deli, butcher have been positives. And the employees are routinely quite friendly.
