the inside of a grocery store

Very clean place to shop. Need to sign up for the membership so you can avail the discounts they offer. The discount are offered on almost all items, from meats, deli, dairy, groceries, can goods, and many more.

The frosting on the bakery cakes is salty, not sweet ! Either someone is sabotaging the bakery or it's a trend that cake frosting taste salty , yuk . Beautiful cupcakes and cakes that taste completely gross.

I recently visited this location of Mariano's and it was also my first time. All I can say is that the location of Mariano's near my place is way better. This is also clean and organized. However, they do not seem to be fully stocked. There are products that are quite fully stocked, but the majority of the products I saw were somehow short on stock, especially those products that are necessary. The employees are nice, but they are not very friendly. I talked to the staff in the bakery about some matters, and she was seriously not the nicest person I talked to, so I ended up buying nothing, even though their pastries looked delicious. If there is one good thing that I could say about this store, it is definitely their meat department. I did not buy anything from their meat department, but their meat looked really fresh.

This place is brand spanking new. Just opened last week. It reminds me of Wholefoods, Pete's market, Dominick's, Caputo's, all bunched up together. This is my first time going into a Mariano's Fresh Market. I wanted to see for myself what all the hype about this grocery chain. They do have a WOW factor for sure! They sell Organic, Gluten Free, Vegan, and of course other name brand items that we're all familiar with Kraft, Jay's, Minute Maid, etc. There are some things that are pricey while others are affordable or about the same price as you would see in the other grocery chains. Of course this is a new place so everyone is coming here so I would avoid the weekends or shop early in the morning or later in the evening. Wednesdays is double coupon for those couponers! You can use up to 5 manufacture coupons that can add up to $1.00 each so you can save $5 bucks on one trip. I wish they didn't have to limit the # of coupons that you use though. They have a free rewards card as well so that's nice. When you walk in, you can choose two types of carts. The standard carts to can put your kids in or the smaller version carts. They even had carts for the kiddies to push around too. The isles are nice and wide so you don't feel crowded. The fresh produce is comparable and they have a wide selection of organics like fresh organic kale. Nice, it's about $1.50 a bunch the cheapest I've ever seen around! Food court is amazing and the sitting area is nice to look at as well. They have so many selections such as Gelatto, a fresh juice bar, a fresh Sushi bar that you can have your order made to go, pick up premade from the fridge or even sit down and enjoy. I had their spicy tuna maki with brown rice, really tasty and spicy too and they close at 10pm! Freshly made sandwiches (hubby liked the roast beef sandwich with a pretzel bun), fresh made Pizzas, fried chicken, fully stocked salad bar and yes they have sampling foods too. I liked their mac and cheese, their buffalo wings and bbq ribs were ok. They were kinda dry/overcooked. Check out their liquor section, the wall of wines displays is a work of art! They have a wide selection of fresh seafood. I purchased the Halibut SOOO good and fresh tasting! They can prep your order for you (too bad they don't have a live fish tank like tilapia, catfish, whole crabs, lobster, etc., now that would be awesome). You can literally spend the whole day. I wish they had an actual bar with a TV to watch. One morning, I saw a fresh omelet station, what tha, lol! They make in house fresh popcorn cheese and caramel too. You can watch them make it as they have a huge spinning pot. Very entertaining for the kiddies. In the meat area, you can even buy your burgers and steak there and they can grill it for you on the spot at no charge! Yes they can grill your food! Eat inside or go out side as they have tables with canopy out front. The staff are friendly and the place is clean (it better be it's a new place). They may not have Everything like your local store does, but it doesn't hurt to check them out. I'll be coming back for sure to shop or just to come and hangout and eat!

When I first started shopping at Mariano's (years ago) I was really fond of this store and would've rated 4 stars. Some of the appeal for me - attractive, clean & comfortable layout, well organized, well stocked, impressive meat, dairy & seafood depts including vegan items, fresh produce and fruit and stunning floral dept. Good service. And lets not forget the hot prepared food section for the days I go shopping starving (never a good idea). I really love the cold pressed juices (juice bar included) albeit somewhat pricey; $8. In fact the only stores I could find the best cold pressed beet juice brands (less sugar) are here & Whole Foods. Then the more I shopped here I quickly learned my receipts didn't reflect all sale prices on more than a few occasions. In fact, I'll never forget the time I was purchasing organic cucumbers on sale and the price rang up incorrectly. I immediately pointed it out to the young cashier (I've gotten anal by watching the register screen as items are scanned) She asked the bagger (also younger) who was flustered and instead of looking up the item or requesting assistance, they told me I could go to the customer service desk after paying?? Now, wouldn't that just be counterproductive and a waste of my time? When I remarked that I've been overcharged for items before, the smart aleck replied "we don't give them away for free." Who's asking for free, punk? Besides a few words, I swear I gave him the filthiest look. Aside from arrogant, they're indifferent and act like they don't want to be there. No 'hello' or 'thank you' always irritates the heck out of me, especially because I always greet them and spend more money here than the store deserves. Speaking of $$$, unless there's a really good sale - prices are higher than average. I never buy pasta or Italian products here (canned tomatoes, olive oil, Italian deli meats etc.) highly overpriced. I'm mainly here for my almond milk, beef or poultry, produce & fruit and juice...maybe nuts. Their nut station is pretty great. As far as satisfying my sweet tooth - I haven't had anything in their bakery dept that wasn't lame or just ok. Rarely stop at their deli. Fast forward to my recent visits, and I'm no longer really impressed by their meat dept...I've found better selections at other markets. Out of stock items is more common (prior to the pandemic). I'm noticing a decline in this store and my enthusiasm for shopping here. My visits have become few & far between. As far as how they're handling the current pandemic...I was here yesterday (4/17) early afternoon and was not pleased to see no social distancing guidelines in place as I've witnessed at some other stores. Shoppers could come & go as they please with no minimum requirement. Not all employees were wearing masks especially at the registers. I saw an employee & shopper in one of the aisles having a conversation (neither of them wearing a mask) for at least 10 min. when I needed to grab something right where they were standing. Didn't see anyone wiping down carts or at the very least, handles. I expected more from Mariano's.

I have to self check out myself while these four stooges stand around doing nothing.

Wow. Worst grocery shopping experience I've ever had in my 43 years on this planet. My wife and I started at the salad bar for dinner. We had to self check out ourselves. Those are a pain when you have to weigh something. There was a girl there showing us how to check out. Why not just check us out since you're standing there? On to the shopping. They were out of iceberg lettuce. (And that's just the tip of the iceberg for their out of stocks). My wife went to go ask one of the four punks standing around in produce if they had anymore. She was given a quick "no" and they continued to compare the size of their box cutters and take selfies. Tomatoes? They had a few. But they were so soft that they might as well been tomato sauce. Meat department. I grabbed some burgers. My wife specifically asked the guy behind the counter for some meat and he grabbed the ones she didn't want. She then told him to forget it. Lost sale. Actually, at this point, I was ready to just walk out. Deli department. Out of stock on cole slaw. Dairy. Out of string cheese, almost out of milk, hardy any Breyer's ice cream. I asked an employee where the corned beef hash was. He looked at me like I just walked off a space ship. He didn't know but he said he'd go "ax" someone. A few minutes later he comes back and says he can't find anyone and doesn't think they carry it. I found it on my own and as I was looking for it, two of the clowns from the produce department go racing by on carts like 5 year olds. Lots of items that were on sale you had to buy 4 of to get the sale price. I don't play that game. After tonight's experience, I'm never setting foot in that store again. Be warned, lousy employees, the grapevine says that Kroger realizes they got suckered into the deal by Bob Marino. Just like he suckered Safeway into buying Dominick's years ago. They are looking to start closing stores. You might be under the microscope.

Cant beat it i go here specifically for lobster and steak you can buy for 5 dollar lobster tail and a 10 dollar steak and just make your own salad this is less than 50 dollars when you dont feel like going out i a below zero weather but still you're having good meal at home! Great choices of soup and you can even order for a meal for some family gathering and its worth it!

Elmhurst, IL I have bin here a few times. It would be nice to have this in my neighborhood . So when I travel, I like to see what kind local produce is available. Here I bought peaches . They came from Georgia. That's amazing ! Thanks !

To cap off my good meals there I always buy the smallest plastic bottle of their freshly squeezed orange juice.
