This place rocks! I have been here for lunch now a couple of times and loved both of my meals. My first time I came for lunch I had the lunch Chimichanga. It was REALLY good! But I have to admit, as good as it was, I spent my lunch in envy of my coworkers' fajita nachos. Soguess what I got the second time...you got it, the Fajita Nachos. While they were really good, next time I am going back to my Chimichanga! I would be remiss if I did not mention the service. Tried the Vegetales & Chicken Enchilada, both were pretty good. Salsa is super spicy though not as flavorful as Gloria's. Service was top notch. Although what I really loved was the Mexican Pizza ! Hear ye, hear ye! I've got to tell you, Mi Dia is beautiful, has a big fat menu full of gourmet twists, a ton of great tequila options, creative margaritas, and a jammin' patio. I must say, however, that the service my party and I received wasn't too fabulous, which puts a slight damper on all the awesomeness they've got goin' on. Mi Dia is located on Main Street in Grapevine next to Fireside Pies, Winewood, and Bob's Steak and Chop House, so you know it isn't going to be cheap! That's fine by me, I'm happy to pay a pretty penny for amazing food, ambiance, and service. Mi Dia has the first two covered, hands down. The restaurant itself is modern and chic; clean, neutral colors throughout with a couple bright paintings splashed upon the walls. Love that giant kiwi! Their vibrant food spruces up your table as well. The chips and salsa were delicious; toasty, warm, corn tortilla crisps with a deep red salsa (and a dollop of salsa verde on top). Amazing. I actually came to Mi Dia after dinner to get dessert, but when they brought out the chips and salsa (even though I was mostly full and craving something sweet) I couldn't stop eating them! My table ordered sopapillas and churros. These may sound like simple dishes, but, oh... my friend... they are NOT! Okay well, the sopapillas were pretty classic. Puffy, lovely, fried flour tortillas sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. The best part is that they come with a big, fat cup of super-thick honey. Like, turn the jar upside down and the honey doesn't even budge kinda honey! The churros were the true gourmet special; 4 dainty, rolled-up, cinnamon twists served atop a bright fuchsia hibiscus gel spread, with a side of Negro Modelo milk-chocolate ice cream, crushed almonds, and a little class of cajeta - thick, gooey caramel! Whoooooaaaa. They were just so pretty! Now comes my very mild complaint. It is simple. The hostess wasn't friendly and our waiter (who was scarcely seen), seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. I'm the type of gal who is always gracious to waitstaff - I know they're busy and tired and have to deal with rude folks all the time, so I make sure to never be "rude folk." Anyway, no big deal, just some sour faces from the service is all. OH, before I forget. When you come to Mi Dia, if it isn't too hot, please sit on the patio! It's gorgeous and huge and... windy. There are a couple "Big Ass" fans stirring up the air, plenty of tables, and an outside bar. It really is a lot of fun and I can't wait to come back! read more

Thank you, local Yelpers, for letting me know about this gem while in Grapevine for business. A girlfriend and I ventured away from the hotel to enjoy a nice, freshly made, higher-scale, Mexican dinner. My friend had the traditional margarita and I had the blueberry one, and both were delicious. Mine was a little weak, but it tasted great! I had a very hard time deciding what to rider because I wanted everything, and I was kind of disappointed that I couldn't customize my meal. For example, I wanted to try a few of the specialty tacos as they all sounded amazing. You get 4 per order but you cannot mix and match. You can only get 4 of one kind. Because of that, I didn't get any of them. I opted for a sampler witch came with 2 enchiladas (I got chicken and spinach), a tamale, and a taco al carbon. The enchiladas were great, the spinach especially. The taco was also really good. I asked for a corn tortilla instead of flour and that request was accommodated. One nice thing is that they have a separate vegetarian menu, which is nice. My friend got the vegetable fajitas and it was loaded with spinach, onions, and peppers. It looked really good! I wanted to try one but was so stuffed from my own food that I didn't dare. We got the churros for dessert and they were delicious. The chocolate ice cream was not 'normal' chocolate ice cream. I can't put my finger on what the difference was, but it tasted amazing. My 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the service. Our server did not want to be there, at least not at our table. Any request made that was a variation from the menus was met with an eye roll and a sigh. (Corn tortilla instead of flour, sauce on the side, no sour cream, etc.) He was also nowhere to be found. I had to get up to find someone after 10 minutes so we could get some water, and forget about getting another margarita! We ordered them but they never came. Also, when dessert was dropped off, we were not given any utensils. He had cleared them all when he took our plates. I again had to get up and go to the hostess station to get utensils but the ice cream was completely melted by the time they came. It was a bit disappointing. Overall, I'd definitely go back if in town again and I told several coworkers about it as well. read more

Mi Dia..my gosh! so good we ate here two consecutive nights in a row! we were in Dallas and staying at an airport hotel for meetings but we needed to escape! This was a short Uber ride away. Our group loves Mexican food - this is elevated to another level! everything from the service to outstanding bartenders to incredible food....I may have hogged almost the entire bowl of queso. And the guac...the guys in our group loved the bacon crumbled in it. killer chips - could not stop eating them. Tried to balance my queso intake with a healthy (and well sized) grilled salmon salad. Cocktails: Seriously...Dulce EnFuego: a Pineapple-Chipotle Casa Noble Crystal (organic tequila) cocktail on TAP! Has Grand Marnier, lemon juice and agave nectar. Yep, we all had that along with some cold Modelo Especial and Corona Light. Mexican food comes in all shapes and sizes. I can enjoy a $.99 street taco in Ensenada. I crave a $5 fish taco at Normita's. I really enjoy a $12 combination plate at Mario's or Super Mex. The gourmet stuff, though, is something really special. While traveling in Dallas my buddy took me to Mi Dia. Parking was tight as there are four very hot restaurants in the complex. No tables outside but we grabbed a good sized table in the air conditioned inside. Service was a bit in the slow side but the food and drinks were killer. We started a flight of three different tequila samplers. One each of the blanco, reposado and anejo. They also specialize in table-side made gourmet guacamole. Why gourmet? About 11 different fresh ingredients and a real crowd pleasing show. I had the carne asada steak and relleno with super fresh sauce, cheese and flavors. Really decadent. This is a nice upscale Mexican restaurant located on Main Street in Grapevine. Make sure you make a reservation before even thinking about eating here. This place is PACKED. For lunch & dinner. Luckily, we called ahead and got a reservation for lunch. While the food was a tad pricey, we really enjoyed it. It did take a little longer than usual for our waters to arrive - which makes it difficult to eat chips and salsa ;) I would definitely come back. read more

This is a review of how well Mi Dia manages takeout during the COVID days. The Grapevine location has a good thing going. They offer family meals of various tacos or fajita packages. We ordered the steak fajitas for four. The woman to took the order was very friendly and told me exactly when the food would be ready for pickup. The food pack was delivered by a young guy who was geared up in PPE like Ben Casey, MD so all went well. Servings were in to-go packaging, generous helpings of skirt steak, fajitas, rice, beans, salsa, chips and a nice pile of guacamole- I asked for no cream cheese with an extra dab of guacamole and wasn't disappointed. What I mean by that is you can come here for both an anniversary dinner as well as watching the game at the bar in front of the Amazing Gotta see tequila tower! Now on to the food! (The important part.) the table side guac is a must! I love guac but I never get to eat it when out because it always has onions in it. Also, you can add bacon. Brace yourself. Yes I said it bacon! WOWWWW! Mia Dia was insanely good! I was taking my parents out for their birthday & was not disappointed. First off the spice is perfect. Starting off with the sala every thing has a nice kick to it. The queso could be the best I've ever had & I don't take my queso lightly here in Texas. The enchilada were giant, two amazing sauces, lots of beef & mixed in was two fried eggs. He made a great choice and I've been going back every chance I get which isn't often enough. This particular trip was with my boss from Detroit and friends she's known for years that now lives in Dallas. Interestingly enough when she mentioned where the friend lived I suggested Mi Dia and he wound up suggesting it as well. Win Win all around. The service is always consistent and the food has been awesome every time I've visited. You really need to try the table side guacamole, it's delicious. Everything about this place is fantastic. I loved the fresh mimosa (I asked for mine with grapefruit juice) and the guacamole with bacon on top was incredible. The duck enchiladas with mole a sauce made for a really unique lunch meal and so very filling. And the chips here are crispy and light and go really well with the fresh salsa and guac. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, this great location, their fast and extremely thoughtful service, and the layout of this restaurant which is also nice and bright with natural light. Others at my table tried the Margarita with fresh juice and they were refreshing and delicious. Decided to visit Grapevine since we didn't have the kids. We currently attempt to eat grain or wheat free, and the menu here is VERY accommodating for that! We had lunch at 1pm on Saturday, no wait, patio seating. We made an exception for the chips just to try the salsa - we do NOT regret it. Probably hands down the best salsa we've had in the DFW metroplex. Food: The tortilla soup is delicious and hearty with a light broth. The queso fundido is definitely fresh and tasty! We tried one with the tortilla (for reviews sake) and then ate the rest with the corn chips. Both liked the queso with the chips better! Add the house salsa to it and you might as well just have it as a meal. Very satisfying flavor combinations. The combo plate is very good value! Consensus says the crispy beef and chicken tacos are very good, and both black and pinto refried beans were light and fresh tasting - not greasy or leaving a film on the roof of your mouth (lard). Drinks: All margaritas are made "skinny" meaning they do not use a mix in ANY of their margaritas; just like juice and agave nectar + tequila and triple sec and other liquers. "Jalisco Twist" is frozen, delicious and strong with a twist of sangria. "I Can't Drive 55", on the rocks, is not technically worth the price if you're looking for a kick, wasn't very strong. Dessert: Ice creams, house made. Blueberry tres Leches Tequila ice cream - delicious and light, not your typical heavy ice cream. Negro Modelo Chocolate - not super chocolatey or sweet, very refreshing with the house made caramel sauce. Vanilla - spiced and very vanilla; would probably order the Mexican chocolate in it's place next time. The churros come highly recommended, may have to try those next time! Mi dia is close to where I work. I've liked most of their things so far:-) Very vibrant and modern atmosphere. Service is always good. I always get the table side guacamole with everything in it. It's a lot of guacamole so you may take some home. They always bring you lots of chips and salsa too. I ordered the pollo agave recommended by the server. It was a good recommendation. I liked it a lot. Tasted like chicken fried steak and gravy. We also had some chicken quesadillas. Those were good too. My uncle had the duck tacos. I didn't try it, but they looked really good. Will come back. The restrooms are nice and clean. This place is always nice and bright and I always take my guests here. Never tried dessert here, will try next time. read more
