Checked in on 8/24/26 for a one-night stay. I chose this hotel primarily for its convenient…read morelocation, and the photos and reviews initially gave me the impression that it would be a decent stay.
I was first assigned Room 300, but unfortunately, the room had a very strong and unpleasant odor that smelled moldy or musty. The walls appeared dirty, the room looked run-down, and the air conditioning was barely blowing cold air.
I was then moved to Room 302, but unfortunately, I experienced essentially the same issues. There was again a strong odor, the room appeared poorly maintained, and the air conditioning was not adequately cooling the room.
I was eventually moved to Room 500, which was by far the best of the three rooms. The odor was significantly better and, thankfully, the air conditioning actually worked properly. However, having to go through three different rooms before finding one that was reasonably comfortable was extremely frustrating.
I also want to point out that, as a Wyndham Diamond member, I received the King room as a complimentary upgrade. If these rooms are considered an upgrade, I can only imagine the condition of the standard rooms.
At nearly $200 for a weekday night, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall comfort. In my opinion, the condition of the first two rooms simply does not justify that price.
I do appreciate that the staff ultimately moved me to a better room, but overall, this stay was disappointing and did not reflect the level of experience I would expect as a Wyndham Diamond member.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously, particularly the persistent odors, cleanliness issues, and inadequate air conditioning. The property has significant room for improvement, and addressing these issues would go a long way toward providing guests with the quality of stay they expect and pay for.
