Lamps in sitting area could not be turned on. Was told there was a balcony...they lied. The furniture looked old and torn, as if it were purchased at a garage sale. There was a window to look out of, no balcony. Needed to use the womens restroom in the lobby, oh my goodness ... housekeeping/custodians must have forgotten about this restroom. Awful, just awful.

An hour later, my wife called the front desk. They said they were gonna take care of it. No one ever did. We contacted the manager twice. They did absolutely nothing about it for the three hours. Loud music yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. We contacted the front desk again and they already knew which room it was but did nothing about it. Finally, we called again and they said they evicted them and they were giving them a chance to leave. An hour later after they told us that they finally called the police and took care of the problem. What a horrible night it was. The management knew about the problem at 8 o'clock at night and did nothing about it until 1 o'clock in the morning. My suggestion to you is to replace the nighttime staff. They all said they were gonna do stuff. Nobody took care of anything. After multiple complaints, they finally got their ass in gear I cannot believe the Hilton puts their name on a place like this. Multiple callers, they knew what room it was, five hours it took him to solve the problem by that time nobody was sleeping What a horrible night we had Now we can't wait to leave Oh, and the kicker was is my wife asked for the room to be moved three times and they wouldn't do it and there were rooms available. She told him she felt unsafe in the room. She told him that she can hear people getting hurt in the room and nothing was done about it. The manager could've stopped this commotion at 9 o'clock through 1 AM and did absolutely nothing. All rooms were complaining. He must've been on his phone the whole night. Who lets a party last for five hours. This is supposed to be a Hilton. They need to change this Hotel to Downey Motel. What a joke. Also, the brick stone grill is a shit hole Appetizers were left out for hours with nothing covering them Seven beers on tap. Guess what none of them worked I asked for this I asked for that. The only taps at work were the ones that were free all the rest empty. This was so disappointing

Shot out to Ashley M for outstanding service!…read more We're usually used to staying at some of the larger Marriott brands, but we decided to stay here for one night (3/15/26-3/16/26) since we just needed a quick getaway close to home and it ended up being such a cute little hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but what really made our stay stand out was the service. Everyone we encountered was incredibly sweet and gracious, but ASHLEY M. truly went above and beyond. I had originally asked for a pool view but couldn't really see it from our room. Without hesitation, she said, "Give me a moment," and rearranged things to get us a room with a proper pool view. That alone was amazing, but then I realized I had left something behind in the previous room. Ashley immediately reassured me and had someone retrieve it and bring it right over. She handled everything with such kindness, a smile, and genuine care, it really made a difference. When we checked out, I believe the manager's name was Isaac (I didn't catch it for sure), and he was just as pleasant and professional. You could tell the way the place is run reflects strong, gracious leadership. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Clean, welcoming, and filled with kind people who truly care. Definitely two thumbs up!

I travel regularly for business and mostly stay with the Marriott brand. I have never experienced…read moreanything this terrible. This stay was far below expected standards in cleanliness & guest care. I would strongly advise against staying here. I endured an extended business stay at this property and from the start, the room was not properly cleaned -- food debris on the floors, a heavily soiled couch with crumbs throughout, and an unsanitary shower head that required replacement. Maintenance issues, including plumbing (foul smelling water) and power concerns, took days to resolve. Housekeeping was inconsistent and often unacceptable. On multiple occasions, floors were not cleaned, sheets were not changed, and visibly stained bedding was placed on the bed. Debris was left behind, including someone else's hair and trash, indicating the room was not properly serviced. Most concerning, I experienced insect activity and developed a significant bite during my stay that is still healing. A colleague on the same floor reported similar issues. This raises serious sanitation and health concerns. Despite multiple reports, concerns were dismissed or inadequately addressed at the management level. Rather than resolving the issues, responses were deflective and unprofessional. I ultimately had to escalate this matter to corporate to receive any acknowledgment. For a Marriott property, this is unacceptable and this establishment is unfit. I would never return to this property.

It's a pretty rundown place. I forced myself to stay because I prepaid before check-in and couldn't get a refund at that point. If you cannot afford a better place then this place is for you. If you can afford a better place to stay, I'd never recommend this place and would never come back. Pictures were definitely deceiving. Considering all cons, I couldn't get a single good night sleep. This place needs a mandatory renovation and replacement of a lot of things. The area is nearby a small plaza that has some stores like Walmart and some restaurants. Other than this, it was pretty much in the ghettos; had homeless people roaming around. I had to check on my car every-night and morning. P.S. The physical property place is a "Motel 6", not a "Best Western".

I came from San Francisco area to visit a friend that lives in the LA area. First time coming down here and I wish I looked at the reviews. I regret staying here for a few reasons. I didn't feel that safe. The bolt lock on the door has a crack that cuts in half. The bathroom door frame had the safety metal plate all wonky. And the toilet paper holder kept letting go of the paper. Which was annoying. There was no microwave; which was disappointed because I couldn't heat up my nachos! For such an empty motel (says hotel but isn't good enough to be recognized as one) the place is pretty strict. No pets, no visitors, no noise, no refunds if you get kicked out (these were the rules that caught my eye). The rules might as well suck out the fun and enjoyment of everything. I was pretty bummed when i brought my friend over and the management was quick to respond. Told us he has to leave right now. What sucked was that it was his birthday and we just wanted to eat some snacks and watch some movies. Catch up and enjoy a chill night. I'm not sure if because of Covid the motel was so strict, but could they have at least given me a microwave? Or some decent soap to wash my hands. The bar of soap they throw on to the sink counter was so rough and didn't create and suds. I help the soap under water and it still didn't make suds or even clean. Feels like washing your hands with cardboard. But at least cardboard deteriorates unlike the soap they provide. The shower dispenser works. Shampoo or shower gel....... thankfully I brought my own shower supplies. Worried that the shampoo will leave a chemical burn. The room had a working bed. Working tv. Working shower and sink. So because of the basic necessities I give this place a 2. Defiantly stay her if you find a room on sale or discounted because it's not worth the regular price. I've stayed at better best western hotels and I'm sure there are better options out there. 2/10 would not come back and would not recommend.

Otherwise, there are better options all over the Southland including other Hampton Inns. My review is coming from the perspective of a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member. I stay in plenty of Hampton Inns around the US and even some around the globe. I recognize that it is in the budget arm of the Hilton brand portfolio and when I stay at a Hampton Inn, I am not expecting high-end, luxury amenities, personal services, or public spaces with artwork. I am looking for a reasonable price for the area market, a safe and clean stay, and casual but professional staff interactions. The 2 features I like about this hotel are the free self-parking and the overall cost for the local market. Almost all other hotels in and around this area (within 10 miles of LAX) charge some parking fee which this property does not. Also, the room price was not dirt cheap but was among the lowest of the other area hotels of similar comfort levels. While it is hard to not like that, I came away from my first stay here with an understanding that you get what you pay for. It is in an odd location, just off of the freeway and jammed into some open ground abutting 60 mph traffic. Just be aware that it is not really sound-proofed so freeway noise is going to be present. Also, the desk staff seems to have been called up from the bush-league. Like most hotels, guaranteed check in is at 3p. I happened to arrive early at 1:30p to an empty parking lot and a quiet lobby and thought the likelihood of me getting into a room early might be high. The desk agent did not look up at me standing at his desk until I intentionally made some noise and then instead of greeting me like a guest, he asked what I wanted as if I was interrupting him. I told him my name on the reservation and asked if I might check in early. He told me no immediately without even checking if there were rooms available. I have done this enough to know that it is sometimes helpful for the front desk to check to see if there were rooms available early and so I asked if he would check and he told me he knew that there were none. When I asked if he knew if any would be available early, he told there would not be any available until 3p and that they would text me if something opened up. I left a little annoyed because I felt like I had been blown off and I started driving away to look for somewhere to grab a late lunch. I received a text 8 min later that a room was now ready. When I got back to the hotel to ask about it, he acted like he had no idea who I was as he was checking me in. I thought it was odd when I had to ask if I could have a bottle of water which is a benefit I get for being a Diamond member. He gave me one but would not have had I not asked and I never received any acknowledgement of loyalty. I never really expect that anyway but I find it nice when a hotel staff will welcome me as a guest based on that. It just shows that they spent some time paying attention to caring about their customer base. The hotel was clean but clearly old and in need of a refresh. There is a lot of chipped paint in the public spaces. In the end, I got a bed, a parking space, did not get robbed, and did not see bed bugs. But I also got zero in terms of polite and professional service, no loyalty recognition, and no warm and fuzzy endearment to want to stay here again.
