My toddler goes to a Spanish-immersion daycare, and I was so excited to find these classes to continue to learn and explore Spanish. It has been one of the best decisions I've made! Over the 12 weeks I've watched him grow and gain more confidence- dancing and playing with the instruments and remembering the signs and movements. We listen to the app and sing the songs outside of the class as well, and he'll regularly request his favorites. Our instructor, Julie, is so engaging and sweet, and she did an awesome job of making everyone feel seen and welcome. I cannot say enough about Mi Casa Es Tu Casa! Adored this class so much! Our instructor, Julie, was so warm and engaging. She built a rapport with each of the kids through individual interactions and encouraged the kids to move around and enjoy the space together. We walked away feeling like part of a community. The songs were engaging --incorporating movement, sound, and interaction. It was also pretty great that the class was so dynamic. They eased us into it with slower/mid-tempo songs. Shortly after that, the songs were lively and uptempo with dances and fun movements. Then, they brought us back down with a slower song and ended the class with a nice send off where every kid got to touch the guitar and say good bye to the instructor. Our son loved it and so did we! The only thing that's disappointing is that there aren't more weekend classes available. This is the probably the best toddler music class in town and we would've loved to sign up for a session if the weekend classes weren't full. We'll be doing drop in classes while we keep our eyes out for an opening! read more

I can't say enough great things about Mi Casa Es Su Casa! I started bringing my daughter to this class when she was just an infant, and it quickly became one of our favorite activities. The original music is very catchy and enjoyable. I was able to learn a lot of the songs fairly quickly despite having only limited Spanish language ability myself. We have the Mi Casa app and listen to their music in the car all the time.! What sets this class apart is the encouragement to sing, move our bodies, and really engage with our kids through music during each session. The in-person classes were fantastic, and when our schedule didn't allow for them, the at-home classes were a lifesaver. They even provided several props, just like the in-person class, for a seamless at-home experience. read more

We have been taking classes with Mi Casa Es To Casa both virtually and in person since the pandemic. I will say that we were pretty much isolated up until class and attending our weekly sessions has helped both of us get back into a more social routine. My daughter requests that we play the class music in the car, we have dance parties in our living room and has really created the sweetest bonding experience. In addition to this, Laura inserts informative child development conversations in every class. She helps me remember how delicate the learning and emotional process can be for young children. This program is totally worth the cost. These are friendly people, and you can tell they enjoy their work and put a lot of themselves into it. My son and I have enjoyed going to these bilingual music classes together. I tell people they're actually trilingual because we learn signs too! I love that this class comes with an app and book of lyrics so that we can listen to this music and practice on our own time. My son loves singing and dancing together. I love it we can do this together. I love that he's around Spanish-speaking people. It really encourages me to practice my Spanish at home too. When I say this is the highlight of my son's week, I mean it is the HIGHLIGHT of my son's week! Not only does Oliver absolutely love this program, he is usually the center of attention--crawling around the room, greeting all the other babies, following around the instructors, and being a complete rascal. Likewise, the music associated with this program is the ONLY thing that will qwell the angry beast in the worst of emotions. Our son started at Mi Casa es Tu Casa when he was 3 months old. Almost a year later, our family has nothing put positive experiences to share. Watching our son grow musically, cognitively, and socially with these classes has been a joy. It's incredible how in such a short time, our son has learned Spanish as well as some sign language! He enjoys dancing, singing along with the semesters' songs and is having fun learning to play instruments too! Pandemic times calls for creative measures. We were enrolled for in person class before the quarantine and had reservations about the shift virtual sessions with my two year old. As a preface, my two year old barely can watch a 20 minute show without getting up and moving on to something else. Online class seems like it would be moot but I was wrong. During class, she semi participated and other times would walk away. After class she talked about the instructors by name and at night sang songs at bedtime. She likes looking at the book of songs from class and sings along with me when we read it. She points at the book characters and names the instructors. Our infant also loves the music and rocks back and forth when she listens. All in all I'm glad we continued with class. We started when our little one is about 6 months old. Teaching different languages at young age is developmentally very important and I find that learning them in music is a great idea. My little one at first was shy and didn't know what to do since it was totally different environment but then several sessions later he started 'butt dancing', playing musical instruments and interacting with other babies. I was really surprised to see his progress such as moving/feeling the beats with his body and vocalizing whenever we sing in the class or wherever we go! I have so many wonderful things to say about Mi Casa Es Tu Casa! First of all, our teacher, Laura, is THE BEST! You can tell that she has a passion for music, language and little ones, and that she loves her job. She really knows how to engage babies and moms and help them to have fun while learning. She is very knowledgeable about little ones in general, which is a plus. My baby is only 8 months old, and is already mimicking sounds from class! The fact that Laura has an amazing voice is just icing on the cake! The Mi Casa Es Tu Casa space at Mueller is clean, comfortable, and inviting. Laura uses lots of musical instruments, props, posters, etc. The number of people per class is limited, which keeps class sizes on the small side...so she is able to encourage participation and give attention to everyone. The take home materials provided are EXCELLENT! The book with the songs in it and the CD are helpful for practicing at home. (The songs are lovely and the book has super cute illustrations.) I definitely recommend taking the MamaCanta class at Mi Casa Es Tu Casa! My baby has a great time in class, and so do I!
