I am glad the space is being used for a business as Crestline does not have a lot of dining options. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, and promptly took our orders. I ordered the chimichanga with shredded beef! It was very tasty and flavorful and the presentation was excellent. This restaurant is very festive looking and the environment is casual but nice. It looked like they were gearing up for Day of the Dead celebrations which do seem to happen around Halloween. I didn't try any of their adult beverages but I bet they are good! Food is good, reasonably priced and service is very good. Highly recommend!

Nope folks, that's not Mexican style. Nevermind that they wrapped them in paper so the tortillas got soggy. The service. Attentive and friendly enough. No complaints from me on that. The ambiance: It's cramped AF. You have to turn sideways to get through the restaurant. I was also seated in a corner booth that felt like I was in a box. They also charged me $5.99 for two tacos when the menu said $4.99. They also charge a 3% fee for using credit cards. All in all? No thanks. 2 Stars.

They even had carnitas & carne asada as options which I will try next time but these Al Pastor tacos hit my home cravings for a while! Highly recommend this place. One of my kids got their chili which came with huge chucks of beef, almost like a stew, and it was super tasty! Not your normal chili but still really good! The margs were weak and very sugary- painfully sugary! Again I can't say enough about the service service. I'd come back once they get a new cook or rehire the old one. Words that come to mind: authentic, delicious, creative…read more Authentic: The food lists Mexican items that are well prepared and flavorful, while paying homage to traditional Mexican cuisine. There were a variety of choices, including vegetarian options. I also appreciated how they organized their menu; it was easy to navigate and not overly complicated like some Mexican restaurant menus can get. Delicious: I didn't regret a single bite. My wet burrito was a medley of traditional Mexican flavors served with a side of perfectly-cooked Mexican rice. I asked to sub fajita veggies for meat and they accommodated with no problem. While most people go crazy for cheese, I gotta admit the red sauce on the burrito was the star in my opinion. My husband got the molcajete and it was bubbling hot with cuts of steak, chicken, and shrimp cooked alongside onions and peppers topped with a mound of cheese. It could easily feed 2 people! Creative: Like any Mexican restaurant, they find creative ways to appeal to gringos. In this case, it's through their drink menu. We had a Black Magic Margarita served with a slice of lime floating atop a scoop of ice, topped with a gummy frog so it looks like a frog on a lily pad. There are some other nods to creativity on their menu like the wet burrito, but they aren't going to sacrifice their authenticity for the masses, which I appreciate. Bottom line: This is great Mexican food that is authentically cooked with a few twists to appeal to American taste buds. My only qualm is the chips aren't homemade, but hey, they're free and that wasn't why I came in the first place. We stopped off on a Sunday afternoon and by 4pm the place was packed, so the secret is out that Casa Express is awesome!

I never expected to find barbecue this flavorful in such a small town. According to our hostess, Buddy's Barbecue is actually owned by two buddies--and after our meal, it's easy to see they've got the recipes, the passion, and the service to back up the name. I ordered the half rack of ribs with the baked beans, which the hostess highly recommended, and I'm glad I listened. The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the baked beans were some of the best I've had. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a baked potato, and it looked so good that we ended up sharing our meals so we could each try everything. Every bite was outstanding. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast from start to finish. If you're anywhere near the area and craving authentic barbecue, Buddies in Barbecue is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!

She said she couldn't do anything about it because her boss wasn't there. She tried to call them but stated the phone didn't work and was having problems with spectrum. First of all, as the only waitress in the restaurant she should be able to make a decision on her own. She said she could not give the girl her money back without talking to her boss. She did not even ask if she could replace the meal. In my opinion, along with others at the table, she could have brought out another meal or even taken some steps to make it right. Take note, if you visit this establishment and your dinner is over cooked you will not get your money back nor will you be offered a different meal. To the waitress, you must have been new to the job itself. Most waitresses would have gone above and beyond to make this situation better if that meant paying for that dinner with her tips and getting her customer her money back! Won't be back
