I also appreciated how they organized their menu; it was easy to navigate and not overly complicated like some Mexican restaurant menus can get. Delicious: I didn't regret a single bite. My wet burrito was a medley of traditional Mexican flavors served with a side of perfectly-cooked Mexican rice. I asked to sub fajita veggies for meat and they accommodated with no problem. While most people go crazy for cheese, I gotta admit the red sauce on the burrito was the star in my opinion. My husband got the molcajete and it was bubbling hot with cuts of steak, chicken, and shrimp cooked alongside onions and peppers topped with a mound of cheese. It could easily feed 2 people! Creative: Like any Mexican restaurant, they find creative ways to appeal to gringos. In this case, it's through their drink menu. We had a Black Magic Margarita served with a slice of lime floating atop a scoop of ice, topped with a gummy frog so it looks like a frog on a lily pad. I never expected to find barbecue this flavorful in such a small town. According to our hostess, Buddy's Barbecue is actually owned by two buddies--and after our meal, it's easy to see they've got the recipes, the passion, and the service to back up the name. I ordered the half rack of ribs with the baked beans, which the hostess highly recommended, and I'm glad I listened. The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the baked beans were some of the best I've had. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a baked potato, and it looked so good that we ended up sharing our meals so we could each try everything. Every bite was outstanding. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast from start to finish. First of all, as the only waitress in the restaurant she should be able to make a decision on her own. She said she could not give the girl her money back without talking to her boss. She did not even ask if she could replace the meal. In my opinion, along with others at the table, she could have brought out another meal or even taken some steps to make it right. Take note, if you visit this establishment and your dinner is over cooked you will not get your money back nor will you be offered a different meal. To the waitress, you must have been new to the job itself. Most waitresses would have gone above and beyond to make this situation better if that meant paying for that dinner with her tips and getting her customer her money back! Won't be back
