We went through the location between Kalona and Riverside, they were helpful, kind and nice. (Which fits right in with the culture of the area.) We were able to get a color scheme that matches our house, and now it looks like it was put in with the house (which was actually built 50+ years ago). Definitely recommend this company and their products! (The deck was built by TNT Reconstruction.)

Paid in full upfront. 3 weeks later it arrived. Looks great. However, I was delivered an 11x16 shed. Contacted the business and (in a polite tone) explained the discrepancy. The business claimed the shed dimensions are measured from the eve of the roof. Explained that before purchasing the shed I had been shown another 12x16 shed on the lot and had measured it to verify that it was in fact 12x16. The business, rather than be of any assistance, invited me out to measure any shed I want to (sarcastically inferring that I was a liar). If this is how you treat client's that have paid in full, this is the last business you will receive from me.

Not only did they come out again to diagnose the problem, they did not charge me as I think they should have. (The tech was here for an hour!) Cory in the office was great to work with, they came quickly and the worker was great. They suggested a few things to do and asked me to give them another call if it has more issues. I would not hesitate to use this company, they did right by us!

After calling the company that installed my gas fireplace that wasn't working, waiting 2 weeks for them to come and service it only to be told they don't service gas fireplaces even though they sell them, and suggesting I call Crow's did I get the fireplace fixed. Not only did he come to my home days after I called, he found the issue plus other issues with the way it was installed and fixed those as well. Then he ardently put the fireplace back together placing each log and checking to see how how the flames looked. Mind you, he took two hours on a FRIDAY NIGHT to get this all done. So impressed! Highly recommend this company.

Everything done by Boyd Crosby is done with care. It is difficult to quantify trust, but to me,…read morethat is a critical factor when having someone work on your home. Boyd stands behind his work--always. I have used BCC for two complete bathroom remodels and some whole-house smaller jobs (scraping 1980s popcorn ceilings, installing crown molding, etc.). I am delighted with the results of every job, large or small. Boyd built my daughter's house a few years ago. She saw a house she and her husband loved on the Parade of Homes, and it was one Boyd had built. They hired him to do their dream house and they absolutely love it. It is definitely not "cookie cutter." If you are willing to work with your builder and have reasonable, realistic expectations, I can highly recommend BCC. I have lived in town for thirty years and have not heard anyone say one negative thing about the results of a Boyd Crosby job; most people rave about the work he has done for them. I know we do!

A big shout out to Tim (in the showroom) and Rick (here at the house)--both stellar at what they do. There was a slight problem with one of the floors we chose for our new home--we didn't even notice--but Rick pointed it out (after 3/5th of it had been laid) and said he wasn't happy with the product. We picked new flooring and it did not delay the project. What amazing integrity. Thank you! We appreciate all they did for our us and our home throughout the project (which covered several kinds of flooring). We highly recommend these men and Randy's Flooring of Coralville.

What a painless (ha, kind of) experience with Randy's Flooring!…read more I DESPISE carpet. All caps. Underlined. Bold. In red, even. Carpet is disgusting. Alas, we moved into a house with carpet throughout. Not only carpet, but at the time, new carpet. So I was stuck with it. (Because why would we possibly tear up something that was brand new?! Or so I was told.) Fast forward nearly eight years and the carpet had finally grossed out even my partner. (Two kids under 10-- one of which is a boy-- three dogs, and a pandemic of home workouts will do that.) Huzzah, new flooring! We had Brian with Randy's Flooring come to the house and get all the measurements. We decided to try to salvage the only non-carpet flooring in the house (original oak) and just match that throughout. Pricing was expensive, but on point. Jake came and worked his butt off, let me tell you. He painstakingly took off floorboards (and meticulously labeled them), ripped up carpet, cleaned subfloor, laid new wood to match pre-existing wood and then sanded down the old wood. He then stained it, reinstalled the floorboards and doors and answered all of our ten million questions. Additionally, he went above and beyond in that he knew we had a Great Dane (Marvin) that could wreak havoc on our floors-- so he got extra heavy duty hardening product to ensure his nails didn't do damage. What a process. I went nearly three weeks without my pups, a stove, refrigerator or washer and dryer. It was quite an experience. (Thank goodness for my air fryer.) I'm insanely happy with the product, the people and overall experience. (Though, in 20 years-- when this floor needs updating. I'm just moving.) Home renovations are not for the faint of heart. Randy's Flooring makes it bearable and the end product is marvelous.
