Carmen called me within a couple of hours and we set-up a time for someone to come by and look at the furnace between 4-6pm Monday evening or 7-9am Tuesday morning, depending on my work schedule. There is a (reasonable) fee for a technician to come between the hours of 4-6pm, as this is after their normal business hours. That was fine with us because we aren't able to be home during normal business hours. Todd just left. He was super. Bless him for helping us newbies on a Monday night. He explained exactly what happened and mentioned that a part of our furnace was dirty, causing the noise we were hearing. I was relieved to find out that we may just get another 15 years out of her! He did not upsell or tell us that our furnace was on its last leg (I was worried), but educated us about a few things. Brian, another technician, also called me on Monday morning because he had availability in his schedule to come by before 4pm. We appreciated the attempt and phone call, although we couldn't be home at the time. Great customer service from beginning to end. Highly recommend. We'll be calling them back asap for a pre-summer a/c tune-up.

Prior to the dryer stopping working, we had to run 2, usually 3 dryer cycles, to dry only 1 load of wet clothes. Bryan not only removed the clogging lint, but he also cleaned up the mountain of lint from the floor. He expertly removed and reattached the door to the dryer room, ensuring everything was clean and was in perfect working order at the end of his servicing. Bryan also showed us a test to check that our dryer was working well. Bryan served in the Army for 8 years as an MP (military police, in civilian lingo), first in Iraq, then training others for Afghanistan. Our nearly 20 year old water heater started leaking so we called A2Z Heating & Plumbing. And when I say we called, I mean we emailed. Duh. It's 2018!! They responded back via email in a timely fashion-- we got on the same page on what was needed as well as options, had communicated a ballpark on pricing and I had an appointment sooner rather than later! I got a text with a gps tracker on my repair man the day of so I knew when to expect him! He was on time, efficient, knowledgeable and very helpful. The price was fair. The guy comes, and starts to dismantle/saw off the diverter valve in the first shower (kids bathroom) after he turns of the water for the whole house. He says he need to get some parts, and makes me a list. I tell him I will go to the supply house and get the few parts he needs while he takes the rest apart. He says but there's a problem. They only scheduled him from 10 to 11am. Yes you read that right! they scheduled him for 1 hour to replace three complete shower assemblies. So he calls the office and the office manager gets on the phone with me and immediately has an attitude and speaks in a condescending tone. She tells me well all we have written down is to change a handle. I tell her thats not what I told the "few months there" lady. She say well theres nothing I can do about that! He needs parts and hes booked at other places and hes gonna have to come back at another time! I said, That's not my issue, he has the shower apart and the water off. Then she started to mouth off a bit and I told her to stop and not be so rude and condescending. She said then you know what, WERE DONE! I took the phone back to the plumber who had to hold the phone away from his ear as she hollered. He got his stuff together, apologized profusely and walked out. The house is a MESS, the water is OFF, the bathroom is ripped up, and now I have to go figure out how to get this all fixed and put back together and the water on for my 2 baby daughters and family. I wish at least the water was back on, its hard to contort into tight spaces being a disabled vet and not being that mobile anymore....but who care about that....

And it was left barely damp, not soaked. They offered to come back out and re-do stuff, but no thanks. Never again. I'd prefer a refund, but they said they could not do that. No you can't get beer here but any home brewer knows the importance and need for a CO2 hook-up. This place provides just that! The service is friendly and they fill tanks versus exchanging them. It's nice to know you aren't getting some old CO2 tanks that may have floating around for years. They are also all about safety verifying the year of your tank before filling it to make sure it's up to specifications. Their pricing is also in line with what we paid in Virginia (just under $15 for 5 lbs) and it's nice to not have to exchange our tanks so I feel like that makes the value that much better. So if your a home brewer with a need for CO2 this is the place to go!
