    The Caliper Covers
    Dale K.

I ordered and paid for a set of custom caliper covers for my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. In December of 2024. When I received them I went to an MGP recommended installer and discovered that the clips for the rear covers were incorrect for my car and couldn't be installed. I contacted MGP via email to their "Tech" department and they sent me new clips that were still incorrect. I then sent a pic and video describing the problem and requested that they design a proper clip for my rear caliper covers. MGP then created a case #149602 on 1/16/25 and stated they would get back to me. They didn't. I then sent a second request and MGP created another case #151803 on 1/28/25 with the same reply of "it may take 1-2 business days for one of our team members to reply". It is now 3/21/25 and I have never been contacted by a team member. I phoned their business number and via the phone tree I was redirected to their email that I've already used multiple times without a resolution. I'm frustrated with being ghosted by MGP. I've been more than patient and now I've run out so I created this review.

    Rusted caliper covers

I have owned for 4 years. The covers and hardware are rusting. The company will not do anything to resolve the issue other then charge you money for new clips and/or new covers. Product will not last long term. Company advertises good quality but it is not

Definitely stay away from these. Followed instructions down to every detail. Was left with a scoured wheel do to this not fitting properly. At no point did they mention a spacer would be required. Now I'm left with a damaged wheel.

Wrong clip for my brake caliper. Too small.

Placed my order for a custom color set of 4 MGP caliper covers for my Corvette. Order was $395 with free shipping. Order arrived two weeks later and I started the installation and immediately found the front mounting clips were too small for my brake calipers. Submitted a Help Ticket on their web page and waited. On Monday I called their Technical Support phone line, left a message, no call back. Tuesday I get an email from Joe, the Data Manager, wants to know if I've recently had my brakes serviced (they have not been). Wednesday...nothing. Thursday....nothing. Friday....nothing. I continued to send emails and leave phone messages daily....but they do not respond. Worst customer service I've experienced in years. Ready to get in my car and drive to Chula Vista to see them in person. All I want to know is, Did you ship me the right clips for my car? Today, I decided to make my own clips (I'm an aircraft mechanic with the right material and tools). The product is well made, looks good, and the rear caliper covers fit perfect, went on quickly and easily. The problem is the company and their lack of response to a customer with a problem. I do not recommend you buy this product.

The predrilled holes are towards the front. The holes behind is how much I had to drill back so they would fit

I bought these special ordered Caliper covers for my Yukon Denali. When they arrived the rear cover predrilled holes for the clip were about 3/4 inward which did not line up to the threaded stud on the clip. No big deal, I just drilled my own holes on the arm and they fit perfect. The front installed went well . They were nicely stug up against the front Calipers and attached to the clip easily. I rotated the tires and there was a very slight noise almost unnoticeable. Once I got on the freeway speeds, it rub like he'll. Especially the driver side. You thought the front brake pads were grinding into the Rotors. I came back home to inspect it (10 miles) total to my house. The passenger side had a slight rubbing issue (photos) but the driver side was grind to hell as well as the inside of my wheel. I call ed the so call EXPERT technician and explained all this to him (Daniel) and he suggested putting spacers on the front wheel but it was a little bit late for that. Then he suggested sending photos of the damaged covers. I did as told and two weeks later I called to follow up. I spoke to another so called EXPERT TECHNICIAN (Ceasar) who I suggested to their customer service should be fired for the worst customer service and attitude. As I was explaining all this to him the only thing he kept emphasizing was that he's and expert technician and he knows what he's talking about. As I tried to tell that I've installed quite a few of these on several cars of mind and families, that I think I'm qualified and knowledgeable on installing them. When I told him is it possible that it was a manufacturer defective product since the back one's were also incorrect again all he kept saying I'm an expert technician and I've done 100's of them. Needless to say, we got nowhere other than I know he's an EXPERT TECHNICIAN. So I got angry and said a few choice words and he said I'm denying your warranty and hung up. So, I'll be seeking legal advice since he refused to provide me their business license so I can thoroughly file a complaint with the BBB and chamber of commerce etc. STAY AWAY. Save your money and find a company that is willing to work with you instead of some idiot behind the desk saying he's an EXPERT TECHNICIAN. and making you feel you don't know a damn thing. I've worked on cars since I was 15 years old and I'm 61 . I think it qualifies me as a somewhat EXPERT TECHNICIAN

The front cover clips fit perfectly. However, the rear cover clips were too big. I had to bend them and drill a new hole for them to fit. Two of the cover's finish had a small sharp bump on them, like they sprayed over some dirt. You can't see them unless you look closely. Beware!

Half side of the curves too high and happen to other side as well. They made these cover too long

Do not buy these covers I almost crashed my Tesla because it's hitting my wheel stick on weights causing my Tesla going everywhere Bad designs not recommended.

Apparently this Napa is in Tijuana! I speak Spanish well (I'm mexican) BUT not enough to describe what I need in Spanish, so I ask him in English. "Looking for a wheel lock removal socket". Dude stares at me like it's not his job to sell parts. He grunts a little and says "oh..." stares at his computer, looks at me and says "we don't have that" in broken English, doesn't even try to look up a part. I look at the other Mexican next to him "do you know what I'm talking about?" He types in stuff in the keyboard and says "oh no. We don't have that". So I say "okay, let me google the p/n for you. Look, here it is, on your Napa website. $13" He stares at my phone, types in something and says "oh, we don't have that. No one has it anymore." "So they don't make it or you have to order if?" "It's special order. 2 days" "How much?" "$23 and there is a freight charge of $18" "Why is there a freight charge? It's a freaken 1/2" drive socket. Napa had the best price out of 5 auto parts places shopped. I had an oil leak and had to replace the camshaft seals, timing belt, and water pump. I ordered for pick up and it was ready in a day. The cashiers were a riot, laughing and telling jokes with me while I waited for someone to bring out my parts. Be careful though, he almost didn't give me everything. I had to double-check the parts list before I left, and the guy had forgotten one box. Overall, this was a very good experience! Time will tell to see how these aftermarket parts hold up in my car... 3 weeks later: The mechanic said the seals were trash so he replaced it with ones he had. However, I still have a small leak so it's still tbd if these parts are the problem.... Another 3 weeks later: My trusty mechanic/owner Alex from Value Auto Repair took another look and no more oil leaks!

They installed them perfectly, they look amazing on my truck. I didn't have LED bulbs for my fog lamps, but Moe gave me a great price that included installation, plus a lifetime guarantee on their work and a ten‑year warranty on the fog‑lamp LEDs. You can't beat that kind of confidence. John also helped me out with a Kicker Hideaway 12" for my pickup, and once again, the deal he gave me included installation and a lifetime guarantee on the work. The sound upgrade is exactly what I was looking for and it's not taken up space in my pickup. Both Moe and John were professional, helpful, and straightforward. Great prices, clean work, and solid warranties, this shop really stands behind what they do. I stopped in a few days ago to see if they had the speakers that I wanted for the front and rear of my Ford Explorer and they did. I bought the equipment and got there at 9 AM today to have them installed. Within an hour, I got a call saying that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. When I got there, the vehicle was parked in the front and John proceeded to have me test the system before leaving and showed me the old equipment in the back seat. I attribute the short installation time to the fact that I was replacing aftermarket speakers in my Explorer with new ones so they only had to remove/replace what was already installed. No cutting or splicing of wires was necessary. I was also told that two people were working on my car which sped up the installation. The only thing that I wouldn't do is force someone to leave feedback before leaving. As I was getting ready to leave the showroom, I was asked for my phone and before I knew it, a Google review page was open with five stars already selected and a photo was attached. When I checked my camera roll later, I realized that John had taken the picture himself! I don't mind leaving feedback for a business and have done it countless times but I would rather do the work myself rather than it be forced. P.S. There was only one small issue that was noticed when John was trying to get out of the passenger side of the car. He noticed that the inside door handle wasn't working and he had to open it from the outside. This was quickly fixed by one of the techs who popped the door panel and connected the necessary part.
