Rooms have always been nice & I've stayed in 3 different towers. I've been to shows in here before, bars, club, stores, etc. I sure do miss the Studio 54 days & the lions....awh such good memories! Vegas is an absolute "must stop" on the way back from the Grand Canyon. It's the perfect spot to relax, eat, and enjoy entertainment after exploring the remote, quiet desert. And what better way to end our family road trip than by staying at the premier MGM Grand Las Vegas. This hotel is massive- featuring a huge casino floor, 6.5 acre pool complex, with a lazy river, top tier dining restaurants and endless entertainment! The property offered modern, newly renovated, and comfortable rooms. Prices are reasonable compared to other hotels $$$. Self-check-in was made easy via the MGM mobile app. And parking was easily accessible. Overall, the property and its rooms were clean, spacious and very restful. At one point, the cable in our room was not working properly. Maintenance responded within 20 minutes. They not only fixed the problem, but gave us a $100 voucher to any of their dining options. I came here for a staycation and had a really nice experience overall. When you check in, there's a bar that offers complimentary drinks, which is a great touch. The rooms are modern and well-designed. My bed even had under-lighting, which looked cool--but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, At night time so that was a bit frustrating. We ordered room service one day, and it arrived in about 40 minutes--not bad at all. The food was amazing. The fruit was incredibly fresh, and the yogurt bowl was honestly one of the best I've ever had. I've low-key been trying other places just to find something that comes close to that yogurt bowl--it was that good! read more

I booked a 4-night stay through the MGM Rewards app for Christmas, from Dec 24-28, 2025. Using the app was super easy , fast check in, digital key, and all the account info at my fingertips. I also really liked that I could park at any hotel in the MGM system, which made getting around much more convenient. In terms of price, it was slightly higher than other booking sites like Expedia. However, since I was bringing my dog with me, the app made it clear that pets were allowed and what the fees would be. On Expedia, that option wasn't available, and I didn't want to risk calling back and forth trying to confirm. I'd rather pay a bit more and know exactly what I'm getting than deal with hidden fees or unclear pet policies. My room was clean and comfortable. One odd thing: around midnight on Dec 24, I got a call saying my door wasn't fully closed. After a long day of driving, it felt a little unsettling. I double checked with the front desk and it was real, but waking up to that wasn't fun. Also, while the hotel has designated smoking areas, some people were smoking in the elevators, which I didn't like. Overall, the stay was fine. The app made check in easy, the room was clean, and bringing a dog was straightforward. Just a couple of odd moments, but nothing that ruined the trip. read more

MGM grand was not my first choice but it was a month before spring break and we needed three rooms next to each other. I've stayed at mgm park and loved it so I just assumed this would be the same. Our first two days here were a stand alone reservation as my husband and I arrived before the rest of our family. We later learned it was a room that has not been upgraded. No big deal. After our family arrived we were moving rooms. I paid for a late checkout of our room at 1:00 pm and an early check in at 2:00 for our next room for an easy transition. This is where our whole day was ruined. We had issues at the self check in, we had awful customer service at the desk, they started sending Texts that our room was ready but they weren't. This lasted all day and we didn't get a room until 9 pm that night. We spent all day waiting and finally had to just leave our luggage in someone else's room and get ready for a show and dinner in the hotel bathroom. We finally spoke to a manager and they said they couldn't help us with the reservation because it was booked third party...it was not. We booked directly through MGM on the phone. We essentially lost an entire day of our vacation. If we weren't staying with our family we would have canceled our entire reservation and gone to Aria where we are always treated amazing. I don't plan on staying here again. read more

Cane for a large leadership meeting. The hotel is nice, they still allow smoking in the casino and you have to walk through it to get anywhere... yuck!! It reeked in here if cigaret smoke. The walk from my room to the convention center was 1 mile. That is not a joke... it was a mile! I had to go back and forth several times a day so needless to say I got my steps. I just wish I had worn more comfortable shoes for the hike! The convention facilities were good. Big, well done, all the services were great, audio visual, the food, the staff... all top notch. The walk to the convention from my room was past all the shops, places to eat, and events. There were several things I wish I had had time to do... it alas it was all work and no play for me from 7am to 10pm and with the time change I was beat every day! The place was clean! Strike that... it was immaculate! The staff was very nice. And I even found a new shirt while I was there in one of the shops. However done buy a coffee at the Starbucks... a grande caramel was 9$ and a water from the shop was 7! Things were very high price here. The main bar didn't even offer a non alcoholic beer of any kind. It was a good meeting though and it was handled well. read more

Stayed here for two nights and booked through the Chase Edit portal which includes an upgraded room and a $100 dining credit. The room was spacious, recently renovated and with a nice view on the 25th floor. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean and with decent WiFi. Plenty of hot water and outlets. The tv didn't allow streaming, but there were plenty of movies you can select to watch. Staff in general were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish they change is that they include parking since guests already pay so much for the ridiculous resort fee. At $20 a day additional for parking, it does feel like the hotel is nickel and diming you... but I guess that's most places in Vegas now. read more

I stayed here in September 2025 and really enjoyed my stay! As a Vegas newbie, I was so amazed about how much there was to do in this hotel. I especially enjoyed the Friends experience and the Netflix restaurant (though I heard that closed recently). There was also a clothing store near the Friends Experience where I was able to pick up a great find. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be adding streaming options to the TVs, as I've been to other hotels that offered that. Another thing I wanted to note is that I really appreciated that there was no strong smoke smell. I noticed a huge difference when walking into other hotels that did have a strong smoke smell. This made the stay so much more pleasant. Overall, a great spot to stay when visiting Vegas! read more

The bathroom was a perfect size, the shower had great space and the vanity had such a nice setup. At night, there was a dim light around the windows and under the beds, it really was special! The hotel was bustling on a Wednesday and the restaurants all had a huge wait. But MGM is within easy walking distance to plenty of other great food options so that was no big deal. The MGM Grand is the place to go for the average Las Vegas experience. I wouldn't categorize it as the nicest, most flashy hotel but it has what you would look for in Vegas and that is all it needs to do. With a large casino, plenty of upscale and casual food options, and nightly entertainment, the MGM Grand showcases what Vegas is all about. I stayed here with a few of my friends and it served us just right. However, even though we were staying at the MGM Grand, we weren't utilizing its services. We found that other casinos had friendlier buy-ins and more positive vibes. Other hotels had more appealing and affordable restaurants. We even decided to watch a show at a different hotel, as it aligned with our interests more. Overall, the MGM Grand was just a place for us to stay, but nothing beyond that. The rooms themselves were not too shabby, but certainly could have had more. The room was clean and the decor was kept up to date and comfortable. Our rooms didn't have the standard appliances like a fridge or a microwave, and the bathroom didn't have a legitimate door or fan. For the price point, I thought there could have been more. Outside of the room, the hotel is well kept and walking around the hotel can be quite enjoyable. I even was able to utilize their gym, there is plenty of machinery, but closes early than expected. I will warn you that there is a resort fee associated with this hotel, and we got charged extra per room. I won't lie, I was a bit caught off guard by this, it created even greater expense for this hotel. Overall, this hotel is a nice gateway hotel to the many hotels on the Vegas strip. If you want a more thematic hotel like Caesar's Palace or the Venetian, then this may not be your place to go. However, once you step in here, you will know you are in Vegas. read more

Stayed here in then north tower. I like the location since it's isolated from all the other towers where it gets busy around the elevator area. Then north tower doesn't have too much foot traffic and it's easy to get too. The doors are near where the Friends experience attraction is at. Our room was very clean and it did have a fridge for drink or leftovers or whatever. Plenty of outlets to charge your phone and the alarm clock had a wireless charger which was convenient . One thing is our bathroom shower was clogged. We did make a note of it. Shower pressure was strong but the water rose too quick in the tub because of the clog. I would defiantly stay here again but in the North tower. It's easy to get in and out of our room and right back in the casino . Also the entrance is very close to the food court and you will not get lost lol Use the self serve kiosk to get your room keys, it'll save you the hassle and time of standing in line. read more

This review is specifically for: MGM Grand Pool Complex / Pool Reservations Team Let me be very clear, this was one of the most frustrating and poorly handled experiences I've ever had at an MGM property. Our group consists of long-time, established MGM Rewards members. We spend real money across MGM properties, gaming, dining, the whole experience. For several years now, our NCAA tournament weekend tradition has included reserving a cabana at the MGM Grand pool on Saturday to watch the games. It's typically the highlight of our trip. This year? Completely derailed. We arrived right at 10:00 AM for our confirmed cabana reservation on Saturday (03/21), only to be casually told that "someone canceled it." No further explanation or proof. No accountability. Just a shrug. Preposterous doesn't even begin to cover it. What made it worse was the complete lack of urgency, empathy, or professionalism from the MGM Grand Pool Complex / reservations team. There was no ownership of the mistake and no meaningful recovery effort for a group of nine guests who had planned this day well in advance. Eventually, 2-hours later, Vanessa escorted us to a day bed, hardly a solution for 9 guys, and certainly not an acceptable substitute for a reserved cabana. Her demeanor matched the overall tone: indifferent and unapologetic. We salvaged what we could of the day, but the damage was done. Instead of being the highlight of our trip, this experience became the defining memory, and not in a good way. At this point, it's fair to question our loyalty. MGM clearly doesn't value it. We'll be seriously considering taking our business to Caesars or Fontainebleau, anywhere that understands customer service and respects repeat guests. Extremely disappointing. read more

I had to update my review from last year because it's been a year and the MGM Grand has made major updates to their rooms. Apparently, they underwent renovations to all the rooms and it was honestly for the best. The previous rooms as I said in my previous review were just so outdated most of the room smelled like smoke and it just was not a pleasant place to be. With the newly renovated rooms, it looks so much better and it seems like the air quality has also improved tremendously. This is exactly what this hotel needed after all these years and I'm super happy that I am able to experience the new renovation. So if you stayed at the MGM Grand previously and did not enjoy the rooms, especially the red interior definitely consider trying it again since it looks a lot more modern these days. read more

This is my first time staying at the MGM Grand and I visit Vegas quite often, but I usually stay in the middle of the strip. I was actually in town for a work conference, so it was interesting being in Vegas for work, but I wouldn't change a thing. The MGM Grand had undergone a renovation and they have so many rooms and I was able to stay in a studio suite which was just perfect for me. There were so many food options and there were so many options to shop and of course Gamble. I would recommend MGM Grant to anyone who comes to Vegas and the plus side is how close it is to the airport so rideshare is super easy to take advantage of plus there is a monorail that you can jump on at the hotel and it takes you anywhere up the strip for a day pass That's like $15. read more

The MGM Grand is a very nice hotel and very busy. They have different restaurants and bars as well. The casino is large and very clean. They also have multiple pools and a lazy river. The pool area is very nice and they do have a bar that serves expensive, but good drinks. They do close off certain pools depending on the day, which makes the other pool areas very busy. Also, while we were there, they had to shut the water off 2 days for maintenance, which was an inconvenience. Overall, the staff was very nice and it's a very busy hotel. read more

MGM Grand doesn't have a distinct theme like other casinos on the strip but it does have a lot of restaurants and shows on site that makes it very convenient. We stayed at the Tower room and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet despite being a huge hotel. I appreciate that nowadays the smoke in the casino is less pronounced now. We also got to watch Jabbawockeez show, eat at Morimoto and went clubbing at Hakkasan all without having to leave the hotel. It is about 20 minutes walk to Paris Hotel, the central strip area. Since it is at the southern side of the strip, traffic wasn't bad and it's not far from the airport. During the summer the lazy river pool is amazing. I would stay here again. read more

Grounds/Casino: there are better options but Wolfgang Pucks was a solid casual dinner and the country bar and Karioke bar concepts were fun. Hakkasan looks like an awesome club and Joel Rubichon is beautiful I'm sure the food matches the vibe. Room: very clean, comfortable beds and nice shower. Nice view of Sphere as well. Green light vibe fortunately ends at midnight. Housekeeping is challenging given the size of the property so that isn't a negative for me. A wonderful, but short time here at MGM Grand Hotel in December 2025. A beautiful executive suite this time around! Lovely and simplistic design. Two comfortable Queen beds, two large screen televisions, a separate closet and a large bathroom and shower. There is also a separate seating area as well. View from our room was limited and probably the only non 5 star rating. Linen and towels are clean and comfortable. A small refrigerator and large countertop for your use. Thank you MGM Grand. If you're in Vegas during the Christmas holidays, going to the MGM to see the decorations is a must. They are absolutely beautiful. Stroll through and enjoys these sights of the season. It can be very crowded, but you won't be disappointed. It's difficult to photograph the displays without people ruining your shots, but magic eraser on your phone eliminates them. All good. Just a sidenote, Shadelle's, a lovely restaurant is right there. I needed a light bite to hold me until my anticipated dinner, so I ordered their onion soup. Delicious! ! We sat at a table by the coffee cart near the entrance as there was a very long line for a table. My daughter had previously eaten at Shadelle's and recomnended it. 9 read more

What a difference a year makes. I made the mistake of booking a Studio room and the moment I walked in, I hated it. So I came up to the reception. Gina first spoke with me, very rude, highly unprofessional and did not care, then an abrupt bye. Really? I was not finished. In stark contrast, the manager Veera, was generous, professional and empathetic to give me a newly renovated high floor room ($20 extra per night). Fully worth it, with spectacular views of the Las Vegas International airport. I'm a huge plane spotting fan, so watching them take off and land, every evening, was an added bonus. My room was fantastic, in terms of bedding with simple, but adequate toiletries and amenities. I made sure to personally thank Veera twice - after getting the room and before leaving the MGM. For the first time, I made use of my hefty resort fees and used the Gym every morning. It had all the needed equipnent. Restaurant wise, I ate at Netflix Bites (nothing much), Le Atelier de Joel Robuchon (always superb) and the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill (after Spago a few days back, had to try that smoked salmon pizza here too). There is one issue that still needs to be mentioned. Smoke still permeates the casino floor, though less than before. Patrons are still smoking in non smoking areas and there is no enforcement. Management needs to realize that they endanger the health of all its guests (including non smokers), by allowing people to smoke inside the facilities. Will they fix this long overdue and serious health hazard? read more

I've had the privilege to experience MGM Grand through the lens of my parents who are big fans of the tables and slot machines. They've stayed between the MGM and Wynn for many years and wow don't sleep on the MGM. This property is massive and has multiple entities and lodging all throughout. You have your typical resort rooms and then you can enjoy their skyloft apartments (so fun and chic), but the creme de la creme has to be The Mansion. Holy crap. The Mansion is surreal and service is impeccable. From the private garden conservatory, private entrance, and assigned bentley or rolls royce, the attention to detail is everything. This review is just employees, lobby, a Arrival: we took an Uber here and probably should have left sooner due to traffic. The drop off area of the MGM Grand is huge and it appeared to be like 4 rows deep and the staff are hopping to assist customers check-in with their luggage. We arrived and we were looking for a Chinese restaurant to eat prior to the show. The security guard was very helpful in directing us to the place and said good choice, but I wish I knew the Chinese place was closed on that day. Bummer. We chose Netflix Bites because we asked if we could order since we were going to see Ka, the hostess said if we ate at the bar. She was right, the bar served us quickly, but Netflix Bites really wasn't that good, but the bartender was very friendly and it was entertaining to watch him make some unique looking drinks. KA: if you are staying here and debating about seeing Ka. Unless you have a 10 year old child, skip it. The performance was sadly lacking. It has a disjointed storyline and there was hardly any acrobatics and it was mostly a lot of flashing lights, with jumping, running and more jumping, and more running, too loud music, and just not worth the price of the tickets. read more

Our stay at MGM was a brief but memorable experience. The hotel is certainly grand in deed. They have multiple attractions, including restaurants, casino machines and stores to shop in. Our room was spacious, clean and the queen sized beds were comfortable. The hand soap in the bathroom smelled good and felt refreshing when rinsing off. The towels were soft and plenty. The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. What would make this hotel better was if they didn't allow smoking inside. The smoke tends to travel and stays in the carpet. Other than that, we had a fun time walking around the hotel and explored the connected bridge that led to the Hershey chocolate factory and the rest of the strip. read more

The MGM grand isn't bad, as far as hotels on the strip go. I've only stayed at the Mirage before so that was my comparison standard; I think the rooms are more or less equivalent? The casino area in MGM grand is MUCH bigger though, and just as smoky as I remember the mirage was (this is a bad thing, I'm very sensitive to cigarette smoke and one of the things I dislike most about Vegas hotels is that smoking inside is STILL allowed in 2026... ). All this said - the hotel is very clean, and at least some of the floors are smoke free, and we did stay on one of them so it was clear of the smoke issue. The beds were very comfy, the showers and bathrooms were immaculate, and the lobby had plenty of food and drink options. I would stay at the MGM again; it isn't the nicest hotel ever but they do a good job all things considered! read more

A 2 nite stay over Presidents' Day weekend was mostly enjoyable. The line for the elevators going to the room was a hassle. We also had to wait coming down. Our room was near the end of the very long hallway. We both thought the room was nice, it was decent for a basic room with 2 beds. MGM Grand shows signs of its age, the elevator clusterf@c# is one example. Their lobby is still pretty Grand though! And their slot floor is one of the largest in Vegas. We had dinner at Emeril's on Sunday night at the bar. This was a great place to eat and the bartender was entertaining. Luchini was good too, we both had a slice and were impressed with the quality for around $10 each. read more

MGM Grand in Las Vegas definitely earns its name because this place is massive. Bringing comfortable shoes is not a suggestion here, it's a requirement. Some areas feel a little maze like, but there's something oddly fun about wandering around and seeing where you end up. I think we found our new spot to stay when we come to Vegas! We typically stay at either Horseshoe or Paris simply because of the price and location but we haven't always had the best experiences there. MGM honestly felt like a breath of fresh air! The rooms were clean and spacious, they had a lot of different food options, tons of slots and tables, the staff was helpful and friendly, & check in was so quick! I loved the fact that their employees (yes multiple) were so understanding instead of belittling. My fiancé and I are 26 so we haven't been gambling all that long and are still learning. At other hotels the dealers get angry or super rude when we do the wrong thing instead of just letting us know respectfully. At MGM we played blackjack at a table and we were actually treated with respect and taught what not to do in a nice way. Even when we were drinking at the casino bar while playing automated blackjack one of the bartenders explained the comp of a drink while you're playing and the light system for drinks behind the machine. We learned a lot and had so much fun while doing so. We definitely spent more time and money at the casino than normal because it was such a good time. We will definitely be back! read more

Where do I start? Ugh... I've had this reservation booked for a little while. Checking in should've been a breeze. Through the MGM app, I was able to check in and be provided a digital key without ever going to the front desk. There we were on the 19th floor at room 19202... and the digital key was not working. Not to mention, there was a big hole just outside the door where our bathroom would be located. With some luck, security just happened to be walking by and after verifying that we were staying in this room, he let us in. The view of construction was ok, but that hole just outside the door was on the other side of our bathroom. I worried about privacy and the noise that it could let in. I mean... we are in Las Vegas after all. When i got to the front desk, they told us the only other room available, was in the 1st floor. Of the entire hotel, that room was the only one. In this room, I had a view of a wall and apparently, this floor is right next to the sewers... and you could tell. We left the room and went out for the night. Came back to a smell that got worse. Being that it was early hours, we powered out and when room service came by, she acknowledged that the smell was horrid... and then we noticed the sewage back up coming up the toilets. She spayed the room with Lysol and offered to let us keep it. When I spoke to another front desk person, Valeria, told us she was giving us the credit for the hotel to go towards food or shows. She apologized for the conditions and was very sympathetic. We appreciated it. However.... we never got to use those credits due to the entire MGM system shutting down. The 1st room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The 2nd room looked like a wheelchair accessible room with the double shower heads. The TV works, but glitched a lot. It smelled. The view may have sucked but the we didn't have to look at construction. Instead, we got to watch people pass by going into the back doors. The windows are tinted, so you can't see inside during the day, but with lights on at night, every person walking by got a show... did i mention the smell was unbearable? I ended up speaking to the front desk again. I spoke to Clint about the sewage problem, the smell, and our credit, why can't we use it... for his first day back, I felt bad this was what he was coming back to. The whole MGM system was all the surrounding casinos. They weren't cashing out tickets, not allowing anyone to check out our check in. No one at the front desk could look up credits, use our credits, print up vouchers, nothing!!! Yes, this was frustrating, but MGM was doing their best to get to everyone. My stay at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino was sort of a big flop.... but the fun didn't stop inside this hotel. We got to have more fun outside this hotel. Maybe next time, MGM can get it right! The MGM Grand has been a staple in Las Vegas for years. It is one of the largest casinos there. I have been there many a time over the years and have always had a good time. I wanted to see it again this time with all the updates. It still looks great. I haven't stayed in the hotel part yet. It has always been for the casino. This time I went there with my daughter to have dinner at the Hakkasan Restaurant. It was a marvelous experience and I will be doing a separate review about it. I do highly recommend it. The room was nice. Luggage rack, iron, ironing board, hair dryer all available. The mini bar is stocked but prices are high. The beds were fine but I had to find the firmer pillow among the ones provided. The extra for the Restore room was not worth it to us. Most of the time the scent was fine after we were overwhelmed by it when we went in. But one day it smelled like mildew and that was not a scent we liked. We also couldn't figure out how to adjust the level of scent. No complimentary water is provided. Housekeeping does not bring water jugs or bottles. Couldn't find a water filling station easily so gave up. The blinds are great as the lights from the Strip are bright. Water pressure very good. The underbed lighting was appreciated when we wanted a muted environment. We could take the free Aria express tram by walking to Park MGM which was helpful in getting to the Bellagio. And lots of taxis right out front. Ride share is accessed through another location. There are restaurants and convenience nooks plus retail on property. Morimoto's restaurant is amazing. Pricey but delicious. Starbucks is handy. Shopped at Fantasyland and I Love Socks. I wish we could have seen David Copperfield but he was on break. It's a nice hotel. Nothing stands out but nothing is bad either. We would stay here again. Be aware that a baseball stadium is being built across the street so that's either great or bad for guests. Proximity to a game you're attending is great. The crowds if you're not attending is not great. read more

I am here for four days, so this will my impressions as things pop up. Day 1: Check in was smooth but could have been smoother if I had known they had a Marriott Rewards Gold+ lounge. The desk was nice and made accommodations since I had two reservations .. for personal and one for work. They allowed me to stay in the same room without checking out and back in! This place is massive. It is a maze designed to entrap you :) Get used to the map early! Was not happy to smell the faint hint of cigarette smoke..hmmm. Uber over was quick and easy but not cheap. There are other options like taxis and shuttles. Day 2: Finally found a quite place to check in to work and answer a few emails. At first I thought it was me, but nope. Both phones ... Verizon and at&t .. are getting little or no cellular or data the higher you get in the towers. The conference center is quite a long trek from the rooms...again a maze. Day 3: Still having issue finding a good food at this hotel. Wolfgang Puck is the only redeeming option. The Uber space is so far away and underground make it hard. The cleaning crews are fast and efficient. ... Did not have much more to add. read more

This review is only for the MGM Grand Casino only and its businesses located inside and not the Hotel. We have visited this casino numerous times over the past few years for shows and gaming and always have had good experiences. Parking is easy and 3 hours free for NV residents, casino clean and open, and staff friendly and helpful. We have seen Tape Face, David Copperfield, and Jabbawockeez shows a few times, visited Brad Garrett's Comedy Club a couple times and eat at a few restaurants in the food court area (see my separate reviews for these show and club). We like how they decorated the MGM Lion in the front entrance lobby for specific Las Vegas events (e.g, they put a cowboy hat on it during the PBR rodeo at end of the year). Overall, we have had very good experiences and visits here. read more

MGM Grand - Hotels Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

It was our first time at MGM Grand for 2 day/night stay, the line for check-in was long but I figured out that you could do it from the kiosk and finished before the line moved, so that worked out. Our room was nice and clean, carpet could use an upgrade and the windows had screen over it which was ripped and made it look dirty, but other than that everything else went well. The hotel is towards the end of the strip, so it's a bit of a walk if you choose to stay here. read more
