Stayed here through Airbnb during a quick trip to Vegas for the Luke Combs concert, and overall it did exactly what we needed for a short stay. We arrived early Friday morning and were greeted by William, who was incredibly kind and hardworking--seriously, bless him. Since our room wasn't ready yet, he offered to store all of our luggage (and groceries), and later helped us get a cart and settled in. He was such a standout and made a great first impression. The room was as advertised, washer and dryer are on premises for an extra fee. Not a huge deal for a short trip, but it would've been a downside if we were staying longer. Otherwise, it was well-stocked with what we needed. Beds weren't the coziest, but they were fine. What really stood out was the staff--they were constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, which we appreciated. The pool area was just okay--pretty crowded, and it could definitely use more chairs and maybe some music for better ambiance. That said, Derek came around handing out ice cream and was incredibly friendly. We even saw him picking up litter himself, which says a lot about the level of care the take in guest experience. I also noticed a sign with daily activities, which looked like a fun perk--especially for families or those traveling with kids. There was also a well-stocked snack area available for purchase, which was super convenient. I had heard they sometimes push timeshare tours, but we weren't approached even once, which I really appreciated. Overall, while I'd probably choose a full Airbnb house over this for a longer stay, this property worked perfectly for our quick trip. I would avoid this place. You can hear every step, door closing, drunk person coming back from inside your room. Then to top it all off, comes with a cockroach that comes out in the middle of the day to die in the center of your room...so who knows how many alive ones there are! The lack of urgency with the staff when we reported it was ridiculous. The front desk staff was rude and didn't seem to care at all. The manager was decent about it but didn't want to refund us more than the one evening, ridiculous. The hero was the mechanic who retrieved the dead cockroach and helped us pack our belongings. I don't care that much there was a cockroach, while it might be gross and could indicate these rooms aren't super clean, bugs happen. What upset me the most was the lack of care from the staff. Your job is hospitality, show it. So I wouldn't recommend this place, no because of the bugs....but because of the service.... read more

I hadn't been planning to stay again but I had a casino offer fall through on me and they were taking the lowest Wyndham points rate during a slow season weekend, so thanks for bailing me out on that one Desert Rose! This time there was no timeshare sales pitch at checkin, maybe I got put on a list after last time lol. But something to consider if you plan to do repeat stays. Also sailed right through the laundry room this time with no trouble. Also seems to have been a small upgrade to the cable package since last time, the menu is still slow and unwieldy but they did add a bunch of channels including some HBOs and such. Wifi lets you go up to 5 devices for free, I forget if that was the same last time. Last time I was here was about a year ago and they had just leveled the Tropicana but not really started on the As ballpark yet. At this point it seems like they've still barely done anything over there, just put up some steel scaffolding supports? Oh well, they did say it's gonna take until 2028. For right now it seems pretty quiet though. The building I think shorter-term guests wind up in is Building 1, attached to the check-in lobby, there are three other buildings that provide something of a noise buffer between that one and the ballpark site. Real good choice if you want something non-casino in Vegas though, before or after the ballpark gets built. It's not as fancy and eye-catching as the two Wyndham tower properties near the Strip so it seems like they compete by keeping it clean, comfy and homey. But it's still a pretty nice room, it's close to a middle-upper range extended stay chain like Residence Inn basically as a comparison, but at substantially lower rates than those things usually have in Vegas at least. Always reasonably quiet and feels very safe. I was kinda sad to have to leave this time and go to a casino for the rest of the week :( read more

Stayed here on our lil getaway! Man I absolutely feel in love with this place! Right when you walked in it you can smell a wonderful breeze. This place is located at the end of the strip but walking distance to main part of the strip. It's a 9 minute ride from the airport so super convenient for your travel time. Checking in was a breeze, deposit for 2 nights was $250. Seems a lil steep but the place was worth the money! I felt like it was our lil home away from home lol. I feel in love with this place right when we arrived! They have a bar, pool, and cafe. Honestly I will be staying here again whenever I'm back in town! read more

Other than the fact that the timeshare pitch was both unexpected and relentless, even when we asked her to STOP TALKING, and the fact that there is no housekeeping and no breakfast buffet or even hot coffee in the lobby, the place was fine, the room spacious and the kitchen very well equipped. The hotel is very old. They are putting lipstick on a pig. Notice that they don't show the room interiors on their website. The couch is a pull out and very uncomfortable to sit on. The bathroom is extremely small. My husband had to fix the shower head that fell off when he turned the water on. The lobby is the best thing about the building. The elevator had such a horrible smell that we used the stairs to the third floor. The pool is very small. We would never stay there again. read more

I stayed at Desert Rose Resort for 3 days and 2 nights while visiting Las Vegas for one of the Cowboy Carter shows, and it was the perfect home base for the weekend. This resort is part of the Wyndham family, and as a member, I was able to score a great deal for my stay. While it's not located directly on the Strip, it's just a short walk to MGM Grand and OYO, which made it super convenient without being in the middle of the non-stop chaos. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk receptionist, William, was incredibly friendly. He chatted with us about our trip and our hometown (Phoenix), and gave us a warm welcome. We also received a helpful booklet full of things to do around Vegas, which was a nice touch. The room itself was a 1-bedroom suite, and it was clean, comfortable, and cozy--exactly what we needed. While we didn't get a chance to explore all the resort amenities (we were out and about most of the time), it was a peaceful place to return to each night. I'd definitely stay here again--great location, great service, and a quiet escape just off the Strip. read more

Service- great guest service but they weren't able to actually do anything about the concerns we have. Basic accommodations. Absolutely nothing special or noteworthy. It is not a resort. The pictures they share are a total catfish. There is no maid service without additional fees. AC blows directly into the living area, keeps the bedroom incredibly warm. When talking to the lovely guest service and engineers they agreed it has always been a problem and it's just how the place was built. I'm an RCI member, and this was one of the worst resort experiences I've ever had. Let me start by asking--why are we paying an $89 daily cleaning fee when we're staying for a week? That's nearly $600 just for someone to come in and tidy up, which barely happened, by the way. The front desk staff? Absolutely terrible. We asked for basic things like towels and washcloths, and the woman working there acted like we were a problem. Full of attitude, unprofessional, and rude. I don't know what's going on with their customer service, but it was one of the worst welcomes I've received at any resort--ever. Then, we asked a male housekeeper for help. He clearly understood us, but suddenly said, "I don't speak English." It was obvious he did, and it honestly felt disrespectful. If you work in hospitality, at the very least, pretend to care. To top it off, the resort itself is outdated. It looks old, tired, and in desperate need of renovation. Nothing about this place feels like a vacation--it feels like a mistake. Do yourself a favor and skip Desert Rose Resort. RCI should be ashamed to have this on their list. read more

Not a bad place if you want is a place to rest, some space to relax and close to the Strip. Comes with a refrigerator, kitchen, table and sofa and small living area. A nice bonus. It's technically walking distance from the Strip but I wouldn't recommend going back to your room late at night, daytime is ok. Highly recommend to Uber/Lyft or get a rental car. The laundry is very useful and convenient. The grounds are decent shape not fancy but will do. Staff is friendly and efficient. Important note if you are a Wyndham member this is best property to use your points... It's typically 7500 much lower than 15K for other properties 30K for Caesars Strip. The Desert Rose is a resort that features suites with kitchenettes just off the strip. It has a pool, a gym, and onsite kitchen for room service. I chose this lodging based on its proximity to the south end of the strip and Allegiant stadium. I was also looking for a hotel without the smoke and crowds of a casino. There weren't any unexpected "resort" or parking fees. The room was relatively clean, however, it seemed like the housekeeper got distracted while preparing it--the bed was half made and there were some prior tenants clothes behind the dresser. The kitchen was clean and there were enough pans/dishes to make dinner. Now the negatives: my room was located on a busy street and traffic noise was audible throughout the night. Most of the rooms are back from the roadway, I'm just lucky I guess. Another minor annoyance were the doors. None of them seemed like they were hung by professionals. They all had huge gaps. The main entrance door locked fine but I could see light and feel the cold air entering. The bathroom door was the same. The latch barely caught the strike plate to keep it closed. Finally, this resort is owned by a timeshare company. It's not a deal breaker but just be prepared to be approached by their salespeople who call themselves concierges when you check in. They will offer you a Vegas show or attraction in exchange of sitting through a sales presentation. read more

Nice spot to stay off the strip if on a budget. Marco at check in was very nice and helpful, and even offered us an upgraded room, which we greatly appreciated. All of the staff during our stay were friendly. The only negative thing is that you can hear other guests through the walls/floors and out in the hallway can be a little loud with carts/luggage. But other than that, we felt safe during our stay and walking to and from the strip from this area. Would stay here again! read more

Had 2 rooms , 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. Our family loved the stay here. There was a hiccup with the pack and play. I called ahead to arrange for the set up in the room. It was not set up upon arrival and had to call 2 times before someone brought it up. I didn't check out the other amenities offered but did see there was room to do laundry if you wanted to. The resort has 4 different buildings so finding the right one might be a little confusing. I wish the gate for the elevator was marked more obviously. Just followed the people going in and out to figure out where it was. There's plenty of parking for guests. Overall would definitely stay here again if I come back to Vegas. It's super close to the strip if you wanted to hang out there. We went to places off the strip and took less than 20 minutes to get anywhere. read more

This was my Fiancée and my wonderful treasure in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, as in life, everything changes and so did the Desert Rose Resort. I would rename it the Ghetto Rose Resort Now! If you enjoy a nice resort, pleasant clientele, security for your personal items and your vehicle, then DO NOT GO HERE! The front lobby, yes looks like as always, but we stayed in the very last building. I noticed right aways the dying shrubbery and plants as compared to the first building. It says smoke free resort, but that doesn't stop the hallways smelling like POT at times in the evening. Our shower, literally, had dirty grout that the both of us noticed immediately. The both of us noticed immediately, that this was definitely not the same type of guests as usual staying here. We had a late check out, that they offered and we accepted. However, that didn't stop the cleaning crew and a handy man from trying to enter our room early in the morning on check out day while we were still in it. We even at one point called the front desk to make sure we did have a late check out, which we did. Now lets get to the straw that broke the camel's back. I expect with a timeshare security! A resort, security! Empathy, even if you have to fake it! Taking our bags to our vehicles, my own Vehicle was vandalized! As was five other cars staying at their resort. Which they found out about it, but decided to wait until we walked out to our vehicles. Do they have camera's? Their answer no! Supposedly they have security patrolling, although, in all the times I've stayed I've never seen security "Patrolling". Their make shift security person, has me write a statement on this simple form titled by another company with no address, phone number, and the resort information no where on the form. The Manager (Maybe that's who it was), DEAN, comes out and is empathetic for two seconds until he realizes we want the damage fixed that day or money / check issued. Then he passive aggressively explained that their cash clientele got refunds, but because we are time share OWNERS we get basically a food/drink voucher and some points back. We tried to explain that my Genesis is vandalized and I have to drive across a state and want compensation. He then goes to offer a list of local places that I can fix at my own expense (Which they were all closed). When my Fiancée went to the desk, the young lady literally smirked at her as she was expressing her frustration. I guess the front desk people think this is funny. Outside talking with this passive aggressive, DEAN, he tells I just need for you to "Acknowledge" that I gave you options. I explained what you need to do is go get me your business card. At one point, he curtly pointed at the sign on the wall that basically says the customer is liable for parking there, etc. etc. They have no cameras supposedly, but they knew a car with young people speed through the parking lot taking time to vandalize their clientele's cars. Checked in with no problem with Cindy who was nice. Get to our room and had brought food to cook and as soon as we started cooking a bug darts across the kitchen wall!!!! Screaming I leap to the phone and called the downstairs attendant Anthony and Gretta who agreed we could change rooms. Changing rooms in another building we noticed in the second room the weather stripping was absent on bottom of the entrance door so I'm sure any and everything crawling could be your roommate as you could see clear outside. Checking out this 2nd room ants all over the bathroom tub. Calling down tire again talking to Gretta that we need another room and would definitely be the last opportunity before needing our money back. We would have left here but there were no rooms available that would accommodate with the space we needed. So Gretta changes us out of that room and room 3 had no issues but the moving was very stressful lugging all of our luggage, food bags, and packs of water. So to comp the moves yea three moves they truly insulted me with a 25 dollar food credit which sounds nice but when the food is high as heck you can only get one thing and my whole family of 4 was inconvenienced..... we should have all been able to get something!! I got two small appetizers and it was still $5.80 over and instead of comping it all or giving us a better comp fee like 50.00 nope they still charged it to my room. Would I recommend nope at all!!!! This place sucks!!!! Ps there is construction going on as well but they need to do better period with hotel resort maintenance and quality checks. Run away!!!!! My family planned a vacation and all of us stayed at the same hotel, reserving five rooms at the Desert Rose Resort. My brother recommended this place as he goes to a week long conference every year and stays here. We are planning another family trip in March, I will not be staying here again, and neither will they. The employees who checked us in were great, no major complaints about the room. The one thing that caused me to give two stars is a missing item, I forgot a big Yeti tumbler in the room while checking out. Within 10-15 minutes of realizing it was left in the room, I went to the front desk and explained to the employee and she was gracious enough to reactivate the key so I could retrieve the item. I went back into the room, it was no where to be found and not turned into the front desk or any type of lost and found. There were three of us who stayed in the room and none of us had the cup. Housekeeping was walking around outside and were in there right after we left. You do the math. read more

First time staying here and enjoyed it! The pool was heated and the jacuzzi was perfect. Vegas was not that warm unfortunately while we were there a week ago but my kids would swim every night and not be cold! The offer a small bar menu which has decent food, we were there for my daughters cheer competition so when we needed a quick breakfast for her we would call it in and grab it on the way out. The breakfast was her favorite! The room was a good size for us and our kids. My only complaint was the room was always cold and if your turned on the heater it heated up super and became really hot. So it was cold or to warm and stuffy we had to keep adjusting the temperature to make it comfortable for everyone to sleep at night. I think that's my kids had the sniffles and my throat was all scratchy. It was never really comfortable temp wise in the room. Staff where great, customer service was great. Everyone that worked there just seemed happy which made the stay even nicer. They were quick to help with any of your needs! Is you needed pool towels you just ask the front desk. It was a great stay and close to the strip. It's about a $10-$13 Uber to get to like the middle of the strip area or you can even walk too. If it wasn't so Cold we would have walked instead of Ubers. We where there for 6 nights. The kitchen has pots, pans, cups, plates, etc, blender as well. Stove, microwave and dish washer (dish washer didn't work very good). Coffee maker in the kitchen as well. Nice size fridge too. There was 1 but pot too if yuh wanted to make like chili or something. read more

Absolutely love staying here whenever I'm visiting from Los Angeles. This place is perfectly located away from the strip but still within walking distance. The staff is great here and very friendly. Another thing that's a big plus for me and very different from the hotels on the strip is that parking is free!! The pool is open from 8am to 11pm everyday!! Perfect for those late night swims. This is my 4th time staying here. This last time around I brought along some friends and they absolutely loved it!! It was their first time staying here and they had nothing but good things to say. If you're looking for a place that's very relaxing and away from all the craziness from the strip and free parking. This is the place for you. You won't be disappointed. And one thing to note is this is time share location so be careful to not get sucked into buying a timeshare unless you want to. The timeshare ppl are on the left as soon as you walk into the door so beware. Just tell them you aren't interested and they will let you be. They are friendly and understanding. read more

Overall, My family of three arrived prior to check-in and Kiana was able to get us to our room a little early. She was so welcoming and warm, making sure we had all of our needed info, the nifty RFID key bracelets, and even a duo of complimentary champagne pours from the lobby bar. Our room was in building 4, at the end of a hallway on the third floor. Our balcony and windows faced the rear lot and had a view of the Strip, including the Luxor. Overall cleanliness of the unit upon entry was adequate. Beds were nicely made and sheets/mattresses/pillows were pristine with absolutely no evidence of unwelcome 'guests'. There were a few little bits of debris here and there on the floor, though nothing from our standards that required a second pass from housekeeping. The one bathroom had some wear and tear on moldings from water damage. Both bathrooms and kitchen were dated but absolutely functional. We really liked having the two separate bedrooms and the center room was great for lounging and watching tv to unwind. We grocery shopped and ate 2 out of 3 daily meals in our room. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, and other necessities to meet most meal needs. The pool area was nice overall. At the times we visited (later afternoon to early evening), we had no problems getting chairs or enjoying ourselves in the water. Pool temperature was about 10 degrees warmer than I like it, but I'm a Northerner. Shade was a little difficult to come by while the sun hit certain angles and the umbrellas were difficult to adjust. Though we did not take advantage of it, the grilling set-up was cool and the folks using them looked like they were cooking up feasts! Parking was never an issue. We always found a spot directly under our room. Getting to and from our daily destinations was easy because the resort is close enough to the Strip but also to the expressway and the airport. It was honestly too hot (up to 105 with heat advisories) for us to have attempted to walk anywhere from our room, so we didn't attempt it and just drove wherever we needed to go. In cooler temps, we may have tried to walk to Excalibur/Luxor etc because it really is quite close. Our first night was super quiet at night, impressively so for a resort with many interior courtyards. Subsequent nights were not as quiet, as we could hear party people in the hall, courtyards, and parking lot, but the combo of our a/c unit noise and earplugs helped. We may be old and in bed before midnight, but we came to Vegas fully aware that people come here for fun. read more

Fantastic staff and bar food as well! I came here for a Leadership conference with a late check in, but that did not compromise their service. Upon arriving, living room and bedroom area was spotless clean. It was nice since I came in after midnight and was able to just crash after settling in. I'm also rating the bar area, which also has some selection of food. I was very impressed the quality of the chicken wrap and was pleasantly surprised there were fries as well. There is an elevation of flavor. You do get to pick your sauce and I picked honey mustard. The salad portion allowed the dish itself to be lightened and the honey mustard with cheese on the chicken gave it a lightly sweetened and cheesy texture. It was amazing and I also got to compliment the chef himself. Everyone was super friendly and after the meal, they also asked if I wanted a complimentary shaved ice. Loved our 2 nights' stay at Desert Rose Resort! Will definitely want to repeat booking another property from the group, during our next trip. This time we booked a suite with one BR, one living room and a kitchenette. Everything was neat and clean. The linen was fresh and crisp, towels clean and sparkling white. Kitchenette was virtually like a well planned kitchen with good quality crockery and cutlery and in ample quantity. There was a big sized refrigerator, huge microwave, a cooking range, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher. The provisions for dishwasher also were provided. The concierge service was very prompt and attentive. The checkin and checkout was seamless and smooth; in fact we were not required to go to the reception for the checkout & had to merely intimate over the phone of our checking out. The room was spacey and so was the living room. Bed was comfortable and relaxing. The sofa cum bed in the living room was ok in terms of comfort and could sleep 2 easily (though we used for one person, since we were 3 of us). Ample parking space just outside the residential area. Good and well equipped gym and pool. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The only areas that need some bit of improvement are- the bathroom door, which was not closing properly.. soaps esp hand wash should be switched to liquid soap instead of soap cakes, bed room lamp switch were erratic and USB ports also were not working adequately. Coffee maker can be upgraded to ones using the pods + facility for extra bed making should be provided by the resort (I was not too adept at putting the duvet cover on the duvet for my son :-) ... ). I love Wyndham properties. I have stayed in a different ones before but this was really exceptionally nice. Great rooms with great amenities in the property itself such as pool which is open till 10.30pm, a bar and a restaurant which has great amazing customer service, and overall this was a good choice. The rooms come with full kitchen, kitchenware, cookware, soap, dishwasher, microwave, full range and a full refrigerator. This is a perfect room for a family or a couple or bunch of friends visiting Vegas. It's a little far from the strip (Uber costs around $12 in peak times, cheaper when it's not peak time) but when you have been to Vegas multiple times, you really don't want to go to the strip and relax and enjoy your time at the resort or spend time in old Vegas. Now, there is a catch. This hotel will pop up on booking.com, Expedia, hopper etc as a regular hotel but when you check in with the hotel they will offer you those presentations about timeshares that give you free tickets to attractions. You can sign up for one of those if you are into those or you can deny and they won't be offended. They are pretty nice folks. Overall this was a great experience. read more

The staff was wonderful and the room was clean. Parking was easy and you're inside a gated area. This is where the good part of my review really ends. It was extremely loud. There's no insulation in the floors above you. I literally woke up in the middle of the night because I heard somebody talking and it was through the floor above me. Scratchy sheets but a comfy bed. Minimal has been done for upgrades. The TVs only have cable you cannot stream or cast to them. You cannot even electronically check out. You have to call the desk or go in. read more

Honestly this is a pretty great place. The rooms are large and spacious, and they come with everything you need to cook and clean for a week. Deducting a star for WiFi troubles, more below. We stayed here for a week right before Christmas and it was really lovely! The parking situation was really great. It's included in the stay and is close to the rooms. The room was a large one bedroom with a sofa mattress in the living room. The room also had a large bathroom, dining room, and kitchen. I do wish there was access to the bathroom without going through the bedroom for added privacy. The WiFi was not good while we stayed here. Do NOT plan to work remotely from this hotel. The connection was not strong and wasn't compatible with a work firewall (other hotels are fine). I ended up needing to drive to WeWork down the road and paying $35 a day. The staff were kind, but avoid the sales guys in the lobby like the plague. They literally chased us out of the hotel when we said no to their pitch. It's a nice close walk to the strip - we made the walk daily if not twice daily! read more

I highly recommend staying here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room exceeded any expectations I had, it was basically a 1 bedroom apartment, the kitchen was complete and was stocked with dishes and cookware. The grounds were clean and the resort was quite and I felt safe. It wasn't on the strip but it was a very short walk to get there which was nice to not have the noise of the strip but being able to get there easily. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Desert Rose Resort. It was really nice and clean. The staff was also great. It felt like an Air B & B it had a kitchen living area and bedroom. This place also doesn't change resort fees which was great. The only disadvantage is that it was about 2 blocks from the strip, but if you don't mind walking this is a really nice place. read more

Stayed here during my trip to Vegas as I did not want to stay directly on the strip. It was clean, well-lit, easy to access and there was plenty of parking. The room was clean, had plenty of space, had a kitchen full of needed supplies, and had anything you would need during a stay. It was essentially a little apartment. The staff was incredibly friendly, answered any questions I had, provided suggestions, and offered assistance as needed. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay if I travel back to vegas. read more

I would be honest to say I would rate it more of 3 stars if you are here with the family and 4 stars if with just a few friends or another couple without the kids and family. This place is a very small apartment like feel that can be a bit crowded. Most people who booked here seem to be young party people and since its like an apartment building, while I try to put the kids down early, I would be able to hear everyone who walks by conversation from who cheated on who, how much money they lost to how many joints they had. It was a bit uncomfortable with the super thin walls and close parameters as if I did not feel I was in Vegas anymore. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath place and the living room has a pull out bed but for the older people or peeps with back issues, this place is NOT for you. The beds are beyond old where the bed sinks in and I can feel the springs especially the living rooms couch! The bathroom is super small where your toiletries will have no place for and the shower has very little water pressure. There is a nice balcony that young kids can easily access which is a bit scary but definitely nice for the adults. Location I will have to say is AWESOME. Totally walking distance across the parking lot to OXO (formerly Hooters Hotel) and a tad further across the street is the Tropicana and MGM Grand. The pool is descent and I love their gym. It is small but their equipment's are relatively new and they got all that is needed for a good workout! They got all the major stuff I need to Kettle balls, weighted balls, the full body with pull-ups, etc...the full body stuff. One of the fully equipped gyms so far in many of the hotels I have stayed at! So A+ for this one! So overall, if you are coming with a few friends, will totally come here again! If you are coming with family and little ones, go elsewhere. read more

As a family the resort is convenient because there's a full kitchen and no smoking on the premises which we appreciate for our young son. The resort is fairly updated but still lacking the up to date feel. The rooms are spacious but the lighting is not great in the bedroom. You'd have to open up the blinds but unable to because people walking by can see in. It was also noisy. The workers who clean the rooms slam the doors and really have no respect at 8am. Would we stay here again, probably not unfortunately. The beds are comfy but if you get woken up by slamming doors it doesn't matter. Bummer I couldn't give it 5 stars. read more
