Unprofessional front desk, especially the male receptionist. I was told "I have other patients, not just you" when following up on a delayed antibiotic prescription after an extraction -- which I needed due to an autoimmune condition. He said it was sent, but it wasn't until I called 3 times. My oral surgery was rescheduled 3 times, including one cancellation the day before. Poor communication, lots of confusion, and no accountability. I've also been waiting over a month for my and my husband's x-rays to be emailed -- still nothing. I was told 7-10 business days. Even though they accept Medi-Cal, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are better-run offices out there. To the doctor: your front desk is likely the reason patients don't return. Maybe this review will get my x-rays sent, too. read more

The dentist and staff I interacted with were nice, but I have to base my review and my star rating on my overall experience, which was soured by this office's miscommunication via their website scheduling tool. I made an appointment online for a consultation of a toothache. I uploaded my insurance information. Since there was about a week till my appointment, I expected the office to call me to confirm the appointment and inform me if there was an issue with my insurance. I had to call to confirm myself the day before my appointment, at which point my toothache had turned into an emergency. They were able to get me in that day right away, so I immediately headed to the office. I was called when I was almost there and informed that they did not take my insurance. I was in pain and needed to be checked out, so I kept the appointment, but had to stop and get cash because they wouldn't take a card. They took X-rays and determined what steps I needed to take next, and gave me a referral. That was the extent of care I received here. (I guess they couldn't give me anything for the pain.) It cost $100. And, I ended up not using the referral because that office (somewhere in Sun Valley) was incredibly rude. If an office has an online scheduling tool, they need to maintain any appointments that are made with it. All of this could have been avoided if only they had checked their website activity and let me know my insurance wasn't accepted. I'm giving them 2 stars because the staff seemed truly caring, but what I really wish I could give them is a 9-volt battery. A smoke detector in the lobby area annoyingly beeped every 3 minutes. When I called them to confirm my appointment, that beep was the first thing I heard before anyone said hello. While I'd suggest that more attention and energy should be directed toward checking their online scheduling activity, maybe somebody could change that battery too. read more

Dr. Naira Gevorgyan is the best!! All the rock I have done with her has been fast and painless. It's such a kind and fun environment when you're there. Front desk is so friendly and helpful! I have never had any problems with scheduling appointments or receiving prescriptions when needed. Even the dental assistants are great at their job and know what they're doing. Do not go here! The experience was awful. The staff was rude. Made me write my SsN down on a sticky note and read it out loud in the office. Staff was rude. The dentist didn't go over my X-rays. They tried pushing products on me before even examining anything. Worst dental experience by far. read more

This Place is a scam. First and last time here. My family and I came in for a basic dental check up. Apparently they don't deal with kids. I made the appointment for my 4 year old daughter. We got here they took my husband and I in. They did our xrays. No cavities were found. All we needed was a basic clean and they tried to charge us $110 each. We were confused. Our insurance plan covers this but they insisted it doesn't. Okay. We asked for the referral for my daughter. They printed The Web pase of ABC Dental. So we call our insurance plan. Our insurance plan is now filing a complaint towards this place. Don't come here! read more

Don't recommend this place. They only think about $$. My daughter had an appointment today and she wanted her tooth to be extracted, she doesn't wanted a root canal and the dentist was very rude, she wouldn't let me in to see what was going on and once I was able to go in the dentist said that she wasn't going to extract the tooth since the medical didn't cover it and I told her that I was going to pay for the extraction and either way they said that they were not going to do it.. the dentist also told my daughter that she could do the root canal for her and that in the future if it was still bothering her then she could extract the tooth. Very unprofessional... I totally don't recommend this place.. the dentist and the assistant all the time had were very rude. Am only giving a star because I have too. read more

Accidentally drove into their parking lot because it looked like FedEx. They immediately locked both the gates on me trapping me inside. No one would answer the front door and they locked all their doors and gates. I was starting to get scared, I was trapped. The guy wouldn't let me leave and chastised me for a while saying he would tow my car. He made me make promises to him about where I would park my car before "letting me go." I am a woman btw. I do not know what kind of healthcare provider treats innocent people this way, but I certainly wouldn't trust them with something as sensitive as my health. read more

Its the day before Thanksgiving. My front cap over a worn-down tooth nub fell out. No front tooth. I tried to get a hold of my dentist, no luck. As well as not a single dentist in the area was open for emergencies. I missed the holiday. I had to stay home. I couldn't go somewhere with no tooth. I also had a huge presentation the day after Thanksgiving. This was in front of a lot of people and I had to find someone to help me. I magically landed at this office. I cannot tell you the amazing service that I received from the entire staff, and the doctor was absolutely amazing. Not only did I get a temporary tooth that looks fantastic, but I was able to slip in a tooth cleaning as well. This is my new Dentist office. I have been driving to Marina del Rey, I love my Dentist, but I'm afraid I will have to bring my business to MG Dental Group. I bought the $39 groupon for this place for the exam, x-rays, and a clean. I thought wow thats a pretty good price for just a check up and a clean for my teeth. I call to make an appointment and i mention that i have braces and that i had bought a groupon. The lady on the phone told me that it would be an extra charge for me next time and that they would still honor my groupon. I get there and i waited for about 1 hour and it was just me and some other lady in the room waiting. By the time i finally go in, they have someone explain to me that they will need to charge me an extra $100 dollars because since i have braces they will need to do a "deeper" clean and add some other stuff and blah blah blah. Honestly i agreed to it because i already waited an hour and i just wanted to get it over with already. Everyone there was really really nice and they got the job done nicely. I was just disappointed that i had paid for a groupon for it to be cheaper and ended up paying way way more than i had expected. Another disappointment was the wait time. Overall they are all nice and professional people. Those of you who have braces be very aware of the extra charges they might do, sometimes you don't really need those deeper clean nonsense if you keep your oral health on check, sometimes they just say you do to get more money out of you. read more

Was just at MG Dental Studio today to get a crown re-cemented and I had a great experience. the staff was more than helpful in helping me reschedule as well as seeing me during their lunch hour to help me, as I was in a hurry for class. everybody was very polite and helpful and it was much more affordable than some of the other local dentist offices that I had called. I dont post a lot on yelp but this place went above and beyond to help a unknown patient and I am very grateful for their help. Definitely give them a try and you will not regret it read more
