Went there for dinner last week. Service was excellent and food presentation was very good. Scallops were delicious and the veal parm was average. read more

I've visited Mezzo twice. Once on their patio and once inside the restaurant. It's interesting, because in my experience, this place is never busy. Not on their Tuesday wine night with the patio open for the nice weather and not even on a good weathered Friday night. It seems maybe a lot of the locals have learned to stay away. All I can say is the service is mediocre (not friendly and the serving pace is way too fast) and the food is average and overpriced. I can cook a better tasting lasagna at home and pair my meal with better priced wine from Kroger or Giant Eagle. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the food is frozen and reheated. That said, the patio is great place to sit and enjoy a drink outside. read more

Great location not so great food. We walked in on a Saturday at 4pm and the hostess asked if we had reservations. It was Valentines weekend BUT no one was there. The food was mediocre and waiter was nice. We ordered salads and soup. The warm spinach salad was cold and my soup had way to much kale. The Kale salad was also ok. Save your money and go someplace that is great like BoneFish or J Liu. This place doesn't deserve the business. I had this cute afternoon date planned out and they almost stole our fun. There's other great options. Skip this one. Trust me. read more

We recently held a private event here for our rehearsal dinner. From the initial reserving, through selecting our customized menu, to the actual event, everything went great! We had a group of 20 people and were able to utilize the private dining room which had a great ambience. The food was delicious! Every item was ordered off the menu across our group, and everyone raved about how delicious the food was. They were extremely busy the evening we hosted our event and the manager personally apologized if there was any delay in addressing our needs. I would highly recommend this place for either a date night or a bigger function! read more

Great food, service, bar, happy hour, atmosphere, outdoor seating. Love this place. Consistently great.

Such a versatile restaurant! Can be casual, can be romantic, etc., but more importantly excellent food and customer service. Can be pricy so keep that in mind before coming, but I will definitely be back and i would totally recommend. read more

Came here for the week of memorial. Food is really good. Service is awesome. Was super busy but they figured out a way to accommodate our party. Kiba was so helpful and sweet and we really enjoyed our night out. A must when in Dublin. read more

We had a girls night recently at the Mezzo in Dublin. First, some of us had a hard time finding parking. Mezzo does have valet but no one saw it from the road...and there were no signs. Finally we made it to the bar for drinks. They have some great happy hour specials. After a bit we went to our table, a nice round table upstairs. Our waiter mentioned the drink special till 7pm was $2 off any drink including cocktails. Nice that they have specials in the dining area too, but weird that it's different from the bar specials...at the bar cocktails were half off. Not sure if the waiter told us wrong... 2 girls ordered Sangria and suddenly the waiter started pushing sangria on everyone. "they're getting sangria, is that what you want too?" And it wasn't said in a friendly way. We soon ordered. He messed up the salad order, but fixed it right away, but then asked us whose order he should put the extra salad on. Uhh, YOU messed up and brought an extra one, not us! Luckily he dropped that one quick. One of the girls had to leave early and took the server receipt by mistake. The waiter noticed her error and was so mad. I understand his frustration, but his reaction to it was so bizarre. He wanted us to call her, kept going on about it. If he would have just casually told us her mistake we would have given him her $2.50 tip. Instead his attitude forced us to reconsider our own tips to him, and he obviously didn't get great tips from anyone. What's sad is that we all enjoyed the food but the waiter ruined our experience and we never want to go back. read more

This restaurant had great ambiance. If you sit outside you have a view of a beautiful waterfall feature. The meatballs were excellent. The service was excellent too. I would definately come here again. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Mezzo for our anniversary on 11/23/13. We had been this past February for Valentine's Day and had a lovely meal then. This visit was just the same! We had a free appetizer card from another business, and got the fruit and cheese plate, which was light, flavorful, and beautifully displayed. The atmosphere was perfect and our server was kind and helpful, even though the restaurant was quite busy. We both ended up ordering the cavatelli--fresh pasta, basil pesto cream sauce, grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, broccoli, and parmesan. It was wonderful, and decently priced for a dish that filled me up and had more than enough for leftovers! I really do enjoy Mezzo, and even though the olive oil tasted a bit off this time, we will be back! read more

I went here for a business luncheon and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is nice and the food is good. I ordered soup and salad, which was excellent, but I found myself enveying my bosses steak. Juicy! I may be back with a friend. read more

We celebrated a birthday at Mezzo, it was our first time there. The restaurant itself is beautiful, a must see with it's unique bi-level layout. The food was delicious, The best gnocchi I've had in my Chicken Milanese. Most of all the service was impeccable! Our server, Hannah, was very nice and knowledgable, making sure we had everything we needed. Even the bartender, Mike, stopped by to see how my, delicious, Pumpkin Pie Martini was tasting. The team of friendly hosts and manager, Jared, invited us back as we left for the evening. We will definitely be returning and I'm sure you will feel the same way after your first visit. read more

Poor service, long wait. NOT a place for families with children!!! Went there for a birthday celebration that did not go well. When wine was spelled no one came to help. Server side and walked away. One entrée it was a split plate and they brought it on one plate when it came back it was cold read more

I've always had great experiences with food, service, and the general atmosphere at Mezzo. We had a birthday celebration with 15 guests recently. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, and the GM made sure our evening was special. There were several guests that hadn't been to Mezzo because they live elsewhere in the city. They'll be back! read more

We were visiting from California with a group. Found this place as we were walking back to the hotel. Beutifull restaurant. 2 stories. Excellent service. I think our sever's name was Tiffany. Super nice. I had their pasta with vodka sauce. Crazy delicious. Also got a Moscow Mule. We ordered appetizers for the table. My favorite was the muscles. All in all very good experience. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is bc one of the entrees was slightly overcooked and did not have enough sauce. Highly recommended. read more

We went to Mezzo on Tuesday for happy hour. Our bill was for $38. Our credit card was charged with $282.00 from another customer. As of today, the $282 is still not credited despite assurance from the manager on Tuesday that it would be no more than 12 hours to get this issue resolved. My issue- mistakes happen-that's life-things happen but its how errors are handled make the difference- 48 hours later and still no resolution- poor customer service! read more

Went to the new Mezzo in Dublin last weekend with my wife. The location is absolutely perfect. The service was great from the moment we arrived, even with the 2 different levels with bar on 1 and kitchen on 1. For a Friday night the speed and quality of our service was awesome. I had the scallops and my wife had a pizza. Neither of us had a bad thing to say about our entrees. We will definitely make a return trip in the near future. read more

We were really excited to try Mezzo as it looked like a great place to experience. The ambience was great - warm and relaxing. Our experience started with a waiter who was less than 'excited' to be performing his role. Not once did he ask how we were enjoying our meals nor did he offer to refill our beverages. Our appetizer (fritto) was not crisp as expected; our meals were not properly seasoned. The dessert, however, was exceptional. I can understand how every restaurant may have an 'off' day. However, to be lacking in both quality food and service at the same time is inexcusable. There is nothing to draw us back in to give them a second chance. read more

I ate at Mezzo's for the first time last evening with several friends. The martinis were fantastic and the atmosphere welcoming- I was especially impressed with the food which was prepared by "joe" and sous- chef "Tom" who came to our table to check on our appetizers and meals. We had a wonderful evening and highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I'm going to start off by saying that this food is seriously so delicious. Everything is super high quality and fresh. I got the truffle fries, arguably the best appetizer, and the pollo vodka pizza. Our server was very kind to us and helped us answer all of our questions about the menu. 10/10 would recommend .I love their happy hour deals! read more

Well this was certainly an experience...not to be had again. This was my second visit to Mezzo in Dublin. The first time I was just at the bar, and Ben the bartender was just as pleasant this time as he was the last. They even had a fun little two man acoustic band playing. My friends and I arrived for our reservation during restaurant week and were seated upstairs with a nice view of the hostess stand below. We were greeted by our less than enthusiastic server David, who was nice enough I suppose. Then we were greeted by the head chef Joe, on a whim. Joe by far is the only saving grace from this entire experience. He recommended items on the menu, was enthusiastic, and very laid back. He even threw in a free dessert just because. Our food came and was ho hum, I would describe the pasta and goat cheese appetizer that I had as very similar to something I could get at the Olive Garden except for a much steeper price. I will say my friend's salmon looked much better than my pasta and we had an artichoke and cheese appetizer that was heavenly! Also, the check did recommend the veal, but after he described the marrow as meat jello I couldn't bring myself to order it. I guess that would appeal to some people! As our meal came to a close we wanted another glass of wine and to order dessert. We could quite literally see our server David flirting with the hostess and playing catch in the stairwell as we waited at least 30 minutes. Then he came up to check on us and said, "sorry about the wait, so busy, up and down, up and down", I mean really guy?! we can SEE you! I simple apology would have been sufficient for my friends and I as we were all servers at his age and while we would never treat customers this way, we're pretty darn forgiving. Then he proceeded to bring our checks and hound us to finish paying. Take the check when we leave guy! What is this, pizza hut?! All in all, the bar is 5 stars with overpriced cheap wine, the food is an overpriced 3, the chef is 5 stars and the service is the worst I've ever had. If it hadn't been for the bartender and chef, I would probably never go back again. As of now I'll give it one more shot. read more

Went to Mezzo Dublin with some girlfriends for dinner last night. It was very busy on a Friday night, and parking was hard to come by. It is a great location in Old Dublin and is nicely decorated with a large balcony, which is where we sat. Unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired. We started with the ricotta balls for an appetizer, which were incredibly bland. We then each got salads--house, Caesar, and wedge of iceberg--all agreed salads were incredibly bland and, like the appetizer, were doused with salt in an attempt to give flavor. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which then thwarted my expectations and was incredibly salty with a pungent gorgonzola cream sauce. I did not mind it after having such bland starters, but only ate a small portion because it was so pungent. My girlfriends ordered the lasagne, vegetable lasagne, and cannoli, and all agreed it was just blah. Very little flavor. We ordered the chocolate mousse tart and cheesecake for dessert. They returned with creme brulee because they had run out of the tart and the cheesecake. Again, both were just OK--and we are not particular when it comes to dessert! We left over half on the plate between the 4 of us. It was very dissapointing considering we spent 60 dollars a piece on our meals. In my opinion, the location is great, but for the price, the food needs to improve for Mezzo to be worth going again. read more

Made a reservation for 7:15pm on a Friday, after a longgg work week. There seemed to be a few tables open and we got seated right away. Growing up in the restaurant business, I loved sitting near the open kitchen. You almost felt a part of the action, which I personally enjoy. We ordered the mussels for and appetizer and they were tasty. I would have preferred a little more broth, but they still were good. My boyfriend got the hanger steak and I ordered the scallops. Both were very good. Compliments to the chefs! We also split some tiramisu for desert. It a good thing we shared desert because the piece or tiramisu we got was very generous. We will be back for sure! read more

Very disappointed- lost reservation, over priced for the small portions we received, watered down cocktail, skimpy salad. The only saving grace of the evening was the beautiful weather on the patio (though seated off in a scrunchy corner since our reservation was lost) Not planning on returning any time soon. read more

Seriously, not going back. First of all they had our reservation wrong-they had 6 written down we had 9 people in our party-so we were crammed into a table built for 7 tops. We came for Mother's Day Brunch-which you wold have thought would be for families-however it was not (we did call ahead of time to make sure it was family friendly, we were misinformed). When ordering and trying to find something for our 4yo to eat, we were shocked to find out the pancakes were all pre-made (the day before) as was everything else-not only did it take forever to get our order out (even though we were one of 3 tables there at the time) but the food tasted pre made-so nothing could be changed at all on the menu. We finally talked the waiter into giving us plain pancakes with syrup on the side. I ordered the baked brie salad with salmon. The salmon was bland and unseasoned, there were no visible pistachios on the brie (which was mostly rind) except for green dust, and the salad was overly sweet. My son's pancakes which we ordered plain came with seasoned butter on them. My husband's potatoes were so over salted that you could see piles of salt on them. Not a single member of our party enjoyed their food-which was over priced for the taste and small portions. At the end of our meal we were left sitting there with no sign of our waiter for way too long. Finally my father had to get up and find him in order to pay our bill. I received a "gift" which we had been told about at the beginning of the meal. It was a paper and hot glue flower with a coupon-which we will not be using as we are not returning. read more

Went for restaurant week and had Arancini, snapper, and Cheesecake for dessert. Our waitress said it was her second day but you would have never known. She was fantastic and had great service throughout. We sat inside upstairs and the noise level was good, no issues with that, and the ambiance is pretty, clean, and a good amount of sunlight that shines in. Back to the food, it was phenomenal. Each dish was quite literally full of flavor, whether it was the tomato Aioli to dip the arancini in, or the lemon mascarpone with the cheesecake, or the radicchio salad on top of the snapper. I would highly recommend going here, and I definitely plan on returning! read more

I went on a Thursday evening early but after happy hour. Started with the house salad and glass of prosecco. Salad flavors we're nice but the kale could have been softened a bit to ease the fibrous texture and release more flavor. I enjoyed the sachetti with figs, Gorgonzola and walnuts. Well designed and tasty dish. The fried spinach with truffle oil topped it off nicely and a glass of Pinot noir made for a very good dinner. Service was friendly and attentive. I'll go back. read more

Went once and will never go back. Waiter was backed up and was running and I mean running around. We told him to slow down, he did and we had great service. Kitchen took almost an hour for our meal. Veal tasted as it was just thrown together. They read the instructions and assembled it. Way overpriced. Too many other options to want to go back. Others in the same area are much better read more

I had made a reservation for 18 people (ended up being 15 at the end) for a friend's birthday dinner. I had called to reserve a month before since I knew 18 people was a lot and when I called them, the reservation was easy to make which is nice since some of the other places I called were being very annoying about the large number of guests. When I arrived at 7:25 pm for the 7:30pm, the table wasn't ready yet. To be honest, I expected the table to be ready because I had reserved so early and I wanted to set some things up because my friends arrived. But I ended up waiting around 10-15 min for the table to be ready and my friend who's bday it was had already arrived as well so we both had to wait. Our table's location was nice though. The ambience was very nice. Our waitress was nice as well. We just wished she would have checked up on us a bit more often. I had a couple of friends who needed drink refills and she never came around to ask if we needed anything else so we had to track her down a few times. The food, or my entree which was the chicken carbonara, was very average. I felt like it needed a bit more seasoning and just wasn't that great. I had the parmesan fries as an appetizer and you could tell that half of them were fried in bad oil. You could taste the bad oil on some of those fries and the fries tasted horrible. So that ruined the experience for me. Most of my other friends seemed to enjoy their entrees though. I don't know if I'll ever come back, especially for the food since I felt it was overall below average. Maybe if I do decide to come again, I'll try to order another entree and see if that will taste well. read more

After my meal was taken back TWICE to the kitchen because the steak was overcooked, the entire date was ruined. The martini glasses were so small when they were poured they spilled all over the table. My date didn't enjoy the veal (slimy) meal either, but the fact my date was able to eat while I sat there is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. Better Italian: Marcellas short north. If I could give this resturant less than one star, I would. read more

Went on a Saturday night around 6. The ambiance is upscale but comfortable. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio with a cocktail (they were all tempting). Service was perfectly fine. However, Mezzo is very expensive ($16-20 pasta dishes) and the quality isn't much better than homemade. Was surprised to see so many open tables when we left (1/2 full?) knowing pretty much every other Dublin restaurant would have an hour wait at 7pm on a Saturday. read more

Beautiful restaurant! Good food! They have a great patio and it's great place for happy hour.

GO! Hurry! This place is wonderful. Went with my best friend for a glass of wine and appetizers and ended up with a bottle and appetizers. Happy hour is a fabulous deal and the food presentation was really beautiful. You can tell they put their heart into what they do and I appreciated that. Wait staff was very attentive and always checking on us to make sure we had plenty of water and cleaning up our plates. Can't wait to go back again soon. read more

After having another new Bridge Park restaurant tell us they could not handle a work happy hour on a Monday at the last minute, I called Mezzo and asked them to accommodate 25 people in the bar with 2 days notice. I was cheerfully told YES by Michael Haller and he asked how he could help to ease my stress. We agreed on a few large booths and pre-ordered many appetizers. We were greeted with smiles by all the Mezzo staff. Steven, the bartender had several large groups in the bar and came through for drink orders, checked to be sure we were all ok and said don't hesitate to ask for anything we need. The presentation of our appetizers was beautiful. We had people in from all over the country and everyone was impressed that the food was so delicious and the service impeccable. I cannot thank them enough for taking us on short notice, yet treating the party as if we had been planning it for months! 5 stars is not enough! Great place and they can overcome any obstacles!! read more

I've been to Mezzo several times. The location & atmosphere are good, however, the food is not. This weekend I ordered the Strip Steak. It was easily the worst $50 steak I've ever had. I would not recommend. Also, we called earlier to make reservations. They said they didn't take reservations. Only to arrive and be told we didn't have a reservation so had to sit at high top table in the bar. I wished we had gone somewhere else. read more

Chef Cook has really created a nice menu here. Depending on your mood there is something delicious waiting for you. The specialty cocktails are spot on. Hard to argue with any of the starters as well. Once again, depending on your mood, there is a well balanced, not your ordinary entree waiting for you. What is particularly interesting is that we have yet to experience the same "special" twice. The menu is always evolving! The service? Top notch! Never wanted for anything and never felt "over-watched". Perfect balance. Kudos to all! read more
