Always find something here. A great little gift hide-away. A few things for myself, too.

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Hello May!! Came to…read moreFashion Valley on what must've been an off Sunday because...where was everybody? I hadn't been here in years, fully prepared to fight for parking, but jokes on me. Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!

Vanessa was so nice and helpful finding me some new pieces for my work wardrobe! I ended up leaving…read morewith a pair of slacks, a skirt, and a top. The store is smaller than the UTC location, but still has a great selection of clothes. The value is pricey, so keep that in mind for those that are budget conscious. The quality of clothes are nice though, so your purchases will last quite a while! I will be returning here to continue expanding my wardrobe as it's also local to where I live. Can't wait to come back!

ARITZIA @ FASHION VALLEY…read more This Aritzia is located at Fashion Valley, and parking is free. I recommend parking near H&M or Zara for the most convenient spots. The store is on the first floor and is fairly spacious. I absolutely love the aesthetic, it has a very "green, old-money" vibe that feels upscale and inviting. While I wish there were more sale or discounted items (other Aritzia locations, like La Jolla, tend to have a small sale section), the store is extensive and well-curated. Their tops, leggings, and other pieces are on the pricier side, but the quality is excellent. I highly recommend their bodysuits, especially from the Contour line, they're my absolute favorite, and I already own a few. The service is decent; the staff are friendly and helpful if you need assistance, though they don't typically greet you at the door. The store can get quite busy, particularly on weekends, so visiting on a weekday is ideal if you prefer a quieter shopping experience.

I planned my day around visiting this Uniqlo when I was in San Diego. That's kind of how it is when…read moreyou live in the Midwest and the closest Uniqlo is a three-hour drive, and you're visiting Southern California and SoCal is lousy with Uniqlo. There are so many Uniqlo stores everywhere! You guys are so lucky. This Uniqlo is located in the Fashion Valley Mall, an outdoor mall full of high-end and medium-end stores. It's on the upper level. Like all the Uniqlo locations that I've ever visited, this one is immaculate and organized. It's a pleasure to walk around and look at the well-made Japanese clothing. This is one of the smaller stores, so there isn't a huge variety like some of the other locations. But I found the things that I came for: the 3D mesh knit sweater in two different neutral colors, and another sweater in a neutral color. Uniqlo is great for basics and neutral things. One of my children thought I spent a thousand dollars on the clothes that I bought (he has no sense of money!), but no! The great thing about Uniqlo is that the clothes are great quality but the price is low. I love Uniqlo.

I find their dry tech shirts a steal for the price and they have comfy hoodies and outerwear. The neat part of this store is the self checkout. You put your entire bag in a slot and it can scan everything in the bag at one time. Never seen that and it sorta floored me. Definitely coming back!
