The girl was nice to me, my aunt and cousin. My aunt bought the whole store last weekend it was insane she didn't know about this store before. I'm glad she had a blast and got new stuff. My aunt forgot her Apple Card and the lady called her immediately because my aunt has a spa and hands out business cards to people so the worker was kind enough to call us and my aunt asked her to put it in the safe for us to pickup. I came in to return an online order. The sale associate, Katie/ Catherine, she is so nice and helpful. She told me the credit was not much so she told me to stroll around the store to see whether I like something else. No rush. No push. So easy and friendly service. I tried a dress and she saw me returned it back to the rack. She is kindly let me know that i don't have to buy a dress in order to get a credit. She said I can buy anything I would like. :) I end up with a white floral dress and a cami blouse. They r so pretty and the material is so soft and light, perfect for summer time. Get on their email list and keep an eye out for their necklace sales! Customer service is usually pretty attentive. The ladies will ask if you want to start a fitting room even if you only have one item. I guess my only gripe is that sometimes the blouses can cost around $50 and really that's a bit pricey for some of the quality. So I tend to stay away from that. But looking for light-weight colorful summer/San Diego/office dresses to brighten up your closet then I'd say go for it! read more

I found a beautiful gift here for my bridesmaids so I could ask them to be in my wedding. They only had one in stock so I was told I could order it and have it shipped to my house and it would definitely arrive in time. It will not be arriving in time, despite the fact that I confirmed with the sales associate multiple times that it would arrive by the 21st. They have no stock of this in any store in San Diego County. I am beyond disappointed that I was told a lie in order to make a sale. They have cute things but don't count on them to get things to you when they promise they will. I have emailed customer service as well as called them to see if I could go to another store to get another one. There are none available and the email response was "Due to the high volume of customer emails, it may take up to 3 business days to receive a response." Looks like I'm not the only one having problems with them. There are a lot of other trendy boutiques that do not have subpar selling tactics. read more

Let me begin with I don't have much of a sense of fashion. I came in looking for a dress for my engagement photoshoot and wasn't sure I would find anything I liked (I'm super picky). The girl working there (I'm terrible and forgot her name), helped me out in a million ways and I feel SO lucky to have had her help. She picked out all the dresses for me, informed me of sales and combining sales, and helped with jewelry and shoes as well to compliment the outfits. I never would have put those outfits together myself and I felt gorgeous in them. She is a stellar and valuable employee. I recently went on a little dress-buying bonanza and found myself at Francesca's. This little chain has some cuuuute stuff and I was excited to get myself some nice, summery clothes. That day, I made out like a bandit! I was so excited about all of my wonderful buys... only to get home and have one of the dresses break on me when I put it on go to out on my birthday! I don't know why I've never been to this store before, but I stumbled upon it this past weekend and I'm in love! They have a huge variety of accessories, dresses, and tops! All very cute and affordable. My girlfriend was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding. We stopped in 7+ stores with no luck. I was looking for a dress to wear for a wedding and the sales associate helped me pick out some cute ones in and gave me feedback when trying on. She even found some shoes I could try on with the dresses to give me a better idea of the complete look and got smaller sized dresses for me when trying on to help me out. I bought a necklace from here during a buy one get one half off deal before Christmas for a gift. Once my friend tried it on, I noticed there was a pendant missing. Today, I went to go exchange it for a necklace that didn't have a missing pendant. The lady tells me they're out of that style necklace and they could only give me $9 for the necklace. I asked if I could exchange it out for another necklace worth $18 since that was the necklace I paid half price for but in essence can exchange it out for an $18 necklace. She told me the store didn't have that deal anymore and that I only paid $9 for the necklace so I would have to pay for the difference if I picked something new. I then told her if they hadn't sold me a faulty necklace, I wouldn't have to come back and it's not my fault the store didn't carry the same style necklace. She then added that I took off the tag and would only be able to receive store credit (really? I guess she's tacky and leaves the tag on her gifts). After going back and forth for 5 minutes with a line of customers behind me, she agreed to refund my money. Although it was only $9, this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! So the reason why I m giving it a 1 star review was because of Iridian. I was at this store yesterday and Catherine was super awesome with the best customer service yesterday. I thought since there is a good sale maybe I can stock up today. I went to mission valley store and they didn't have the size I was looking for so they go ahead and call this store for me to put the items on hold. I got here and told them I had some items on hold. At this time, another lady was helping me, when I saw the item I told her it wasn't the right item. Iridian was on the phone at this time and she just jumped in and said "well that's what they told me and is the right one" like hello...I'm the customer here so I would know which shirt I'm looking for, and why are u being rude and try to argue with me? Now is time to pay, she was being rude again....I showed her my military ID and she was like well that discount don't apply to your items. It only applies to full price item. I just want to be a smart ass and said well I do have to purchase a full price item before I get the other items for half price. So why wouldn't that apply? The only reason why I had my id out was because yesterday they offer me the discount. Is not a big deal for me if I get the discount or not. I just don't like rude customer service. If it wasn't because the mission valley store don't have the bracelet that I want, I would've drove back to mission valley and get the dress so I don't have to deal with her rudeness. So remember next time if she is there, you can save yourself a trip and go to a different location. read more

I noticed Francesca's for the first time today, though apparently it's been open since February. After an especially disappointing run at Anthropology and Nordstrom's (so much for Memorial Day's sales-- can you say, ugliest things only on sale?), I was just about giving up, until the display at Francesca's caught my eye. Like Anthro, the dresses are whimsical and feminine, trendy but still age appropriate for folks like me who are over the H&M, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe set. And the prices were fantastic too-- all the dresses are $44, and even cheaper on the sales rack. I don't know how they do it-- and I probably don't want to know-- but I'm just happy to have picked up some new summer dresses at a fraction of the cost of one item elsewhere! I'll definitely be back to check out the accessories and jewelry next time! read more

Catherine Young saved my Christmas. I had ordered a perfect dress for my niece for Christmas, through Francesca's.com, during their every dress for $25 dollar sale. Then I received an email informing me that my order would not be shipped because it was out of stock. I had already ordered it and paid and was very disappointed. I called every store near me in Johnson City Tennessee, but unfortunately, they were out of stock as well. So then I called every store in San Diego where I had just moved from. All but two of those stores responded the same and expressed a lot of sympathies that I was unable to find it. Everyone was so kind and helpful in every Francesca store I called. The Fashion Valley store was one of the two stores that said they might receive the dress in their next shipment. Catherine Young not only took my information to call me back, but she put the dress to the side for me! Catherine also called me immediately and let me know that she had it in stock. I was absolutely ecstatic!! I ran into problems trying to pay for the dress and ship it and Catherine helped me through every step of the process. It took multiple phone calls and actually guiding me through the online gift card purchase, and she was extremely patient and sweet and genuinely excited to help me get my Christmas wish! I felt like she cared that I was able to get this to my niece for Christmas and was excited for me that she was able to do this. This experience with Catherine Young was phenomenal. She went so far above and beyond to do this and my niece was so happy when she opened the gift that her eyes actually sparkled. Then I told her the whole story and we were both just in awe of how it happened. I had dealt with this issue for over a week before calling Catherine. I had called customer service repeatedly, and not only were they not able to do anything, but it seemed as if they did not care at all. Had this been my only experience with Francesca's, to be honest, I would not want to shop there again. However, because of the amazing and caring service that I received from Catherine Young and her assistant, I will be a very frequent customer. I can't say how much this made a huge impact both for me and my family. As a matter of fact, when I visit my family in San Diego, I am going to the Fashion Valley store to thank Catherine in person for her being so awesome. read more
