I've only ordered take out and it was a smooth transaction with awesome food. I found this place after searching for Birria Tacos and after mixed reviews hesitantly tried however they were awesome. If you're ordering over $50 be expected to prepay which makes sense. The customer service was awesome as well as they allowed me to pick up my food as little after closing due to my travels. Well. This is my first visit. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were great. I also ordered a Margarita and it was the house made with a premix. She added something not to mention it was half off. Needless to say, it prepared me for my roadtrip. Parking is in abundance and the bartender was great continue to check my status even though she worked the entire bar area. Her name is Gene, not sure of her days worked but very attentive. I had the surf and turf fajitas. Fajitas are usually my go to, especially at a new place. If you can't make good fajitas, you probably can't make the other stuff either. My son's had the tacos and my wife, the burrito. Service was a little iffy because the waitress wasn't sure about a couple of questions and had to ask, but she was attentive and very nice. The owner came by twice to talk and ask how our meals were which is a great sign of a good restaurant. Food was great, fresh chips, and two sauces on the table (green & red) were fantastic and very spicy. You could tell the corn tortillas for the fajitas were fresh and handmade. I finally got to visit this place after seeing all the great reviews on the birria tacos. I placed my order over the phone. Ordered the birria tacos in beef and chicken, asada burrito, and chicken veggie tamales. The staff was very friendly and nice. The place was very clean and organized. My order was made perfectly. The birria tacos were delicious. They were filled with plenty of meat and cheese. Everything was so fresh and tasted very authentic. The asada burrito was very good too. After the birria tacos I was too full to try the tamales but will try them later. I hope they will add mangonadas to their menu...that's my favorite. read more

Since moving to the area, haven't found a really great Mexican restaurant that gave me that "wow" factor until we tried Mexigrill! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I got carne asada nachos which were amazing and my husband got a carne asada burrito. I love how they don't drench the food in queso, they give you the option. Also tried Jamaica and horchata and both were yummy! Customer service was also a plus! Definitely coming back and happy we found our favorite Mexican food spot. read more

We will never go back to them. Lousy service. Long wait for server. Wrong orders. Server tried to charge for an item that the child didn't like without offering an option and refused to remove from bill. Then manager or owner came out fussing at us and being very rude and obnoxious. They were too busy with take out orders and we were sitting there for 2 hrs! Over 30 mins for food. Also server didn't let us know that they were busy with take out orders when we first got there. Also food was not impressive. The salsa dip was TERRIBLE all watery and no flavor!! This is the best Mexican food in Columbus. It is even on par with the stuff out west. I will no longer visit other Mexican restaurants in town after going here. In particular I recommend the beef Birria. It's some sort of double taco with good stuff inside it that you dip in special beef broth. Also had the Cuban platter which was delicious as well. The people are nice here too, constantly coming by to ask if we could use anything else, and offering good recommendations. We tried it for the first time. We ordered the pastor tacos, pupusas, and torta. The tacos were delicious! I was not expecting a homemade tortilla. They didn't fall apart when we ate them. The anterior decor did not have the tacky look most Mexican restaurants tend to have. The menu was simple and easy to read and not so busy with unnecessary items like other Mexican restaurants in town. They came with an 8oz cup of refried beans, TONS of rice and a dash of tomatoes, sour cream, and lettuce, which I ended up asking for more of. I felt like it was overall under seasoned. Mexigrill used to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Columbus. In the past year their menu has changed and the food quality has gone downhill. Salsa now tastes like canned tomato sauce and food isn't nearly as flavorful as before. Not sure what changed, but it wasn't for the better. read more

They have decent food. Their steak burrito isn't the best I've tasted. It tasted bland compared to other burritos I've had from other taquerias. Their cheese just doesn't cut it. I'd say this place is better than those fake Mexican restaurants but as far as taquerias are concerned, it has some work that needs to be done. My husband had the carne asada cooked medium which was extremely juicy and flavorful and I had the grilled chicken burrito which was awesome!!! The reviews led me to believe the birria tacos would be fire and well they were just okay. The chile rellenó seemed like they just took some caldo de pollo out the consomé and threw it in the chile and that's what was recommended as their authentic Mexican dish.
