I love their different self-checkout options, especially the lanes with the conveyor belt. I know it's not for everyone, but if there are two of you, one can bag while the other scans. The last time I used it, I was alone, and a checker bagged my groceries so I didn't have to. I recently had a major problem (I won't go into details, but it wasn't their fault), but they handled it beautifully. I couldn't have asked for a better response. Their help saved me a lot of time and energy, not to mention stress. Do check the app before you check out. It might take a bit of time, but it's easy to forget to "clip" a digital coupon; then you're back to having to find someone to apply the coupon for you.

I recently purchased rancid salmon there (probably due to their free standing middle-of-the-room chillers not being cold enough) and had to throw it out. Also, I received spoiled cheese in the dairy section (white cheese which upon opening, I found had started to turn a reddish orange). I don't feel like I can take a chance on them anymore. Some of their prices aren't any better than the fresh produce at Alberstons either (for one example, mushrooms). You really need to compare prices to see if it's worth buying the GO version of the product. Also, their "renovation" was a nightmare. Two carts can't go down the same aisle side by side in places. The flow of the types of food down the aisles doesn't make any sense either. It's almost like they have never shopped at their own store.

Forty-five minutes later, I realized it, called, got Justin, and it had not been turned in. So he got one of his employees right on it, and it was still out in the parking lot in the grocery basket. I was so grateful to Justin for acting so quickly and for calling me back and delivering "great news," as he put it, and it was. I am grateful to all the shoppers too. Thank you, Justin. I don't do my regular grocery shopping at Stater Bros, but their deals on steaks can't be beat…read more There isn't necessarily a great deal every week, but if you sign up to receive their weekly ad email, it is easy to keep tabs on their sales. Last week I loaded up on six New York steaks for $8.99/lb, and this week they have porterhouse steaks for $9.99/lb which I also loaded up on. I put the individual steaks in plastic wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil, and put them in a zip lock bag and get out as much air as possible before sealing and putting them in the freezer. This keeps them good for a long time, and I just keep buying them when great deals like this are available. There are usually two or three steaks per package, and it seems like they often put a really good cut in with a not as good cut. Look thru them all to find the best pairs with two good cuts. Every time I walk into the store, there is a sushi station right by the east entrance where somebody is always there making fresh sushi daily. It always looks so good and fresh. You can either choose from what is on display, or place an order and pick it up later after it has been prepared. I called ahead and asked if they I could order sashimi, and was happy when they said yes because I've only seen sushi on display before. I ordered half salmon and half tuna ($8.99), and it was ready when I arrived 20 minutes later. The sashimi was so fresh, and the pieces were surprisingly bigger and thicker than I expected. It came with a package of soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. This was far superior to a sashimi sampler I ordered from another restaurant this past weekend, and this was several dollars cheaper. Judy, who was at the counter today, was so kind and friendly. I do pick up some regular grocery items from time to time, and their prices seem to be on par with or just slightly below my regular grocery store. I'll continue to take advantage of their great sales on steak. I'm happy I finally tried their sushi, it's great!

I think all we have is forks and I'm like oh it's OK no worries thank you though she said do you want me to ask the kitchen if they can cut the limes for you? I'm like really sure that would be great. I paid it was like less than six dollars. She grabbed my limes ran to the kitchen. I had to wait like a couple of minutes and she came back out with them cut and to me that is honestly what I love about our culture what I love about customer service that she didn't have to do that. She didn't have to stop what she was doing in her line in her cashier position, but she was super friendly super customer service oriented that that Little meant so much to me because it legit just made my life 10 times easier than what I was about to try to do with getting a knife to cut my limes.
