Every bite was better than the last. That said, I couldn't stop eyeing my girlfriend's meal all night because it looked *just as incredible*. Had a fun evening of margaritas and fried ice cream. I can say that's the best evening ever. Started with some complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is so delicious. I had a skinny margarita and my partner had a strawberry frozen margarita. Both were good and boy could they pack a punch. One was enough for us! We were seated right away! Our server was very prompt, water and drinks. Chips and salsa were served and consumed quickly. We added some guacamole. Very creamy with a bit of bite to it. This place is such a vibe in the middle of downtown Melrose! We were looking for something late Tuesday night for a quick meal and ended up staying till late. Their menu has many options ranging from tacos, fajitas, and everything in between. The portion sizes are ginormous and great for sharing. We got the Birria tacos and wings. The Birria tacos were a little dry but they had plenty of consume to compensate for it. The rice which came with the side is possible the best Mexican rice I've had. It was spicy and had a nice kick to it. The drinks are also large. Their sangria is house made. Everything was decently priced. The service is a little slow, but I think the food and prices make up for it. Will definitely be back! read more

The food here is good and so are the margaritas and everyone in Melrose knows it's. This place seem to be busy just about every night of the week and it can be hard to get a table btw 5:30-7:00pm. I decided to get takeout here as we wanted to stay home and watch a Celtics game. It is crazy hard to find a parking spot in this town. I would highly recommend getting here before the main dinner rush or later (7-7:30) to avoid circling around Main St and the various municipal lots. The decor is a colorful, traditional Mexican hacienda theme. This place has a family vibe to it, I don't consider it a date night place. Jeans, casual top, for sure. I rarely order pork at restaurants but the pork carnitas platter is muy delicioso and it's plenty food for two people. FYI- They have dedicated parking enforcement officers in this town and they write tickets pretty quickly so I would not risk parking illegally, even if you are only picking up takeout. read more

I was thrilled when I saw Chile Rellenos stuffed with cheese on their menu! Haven't seen those on a Mexican restaurant since El Torito went out of business! And they didn't disappoint - they were huge, gooey with melted cheese and glorious! I could only finish one. I will start by saying I've been here a couple of times largely because of how great the food is. We strongly believe the portions, quality and price are excellent value. The ambiance is always lively and popping. Great music and a nice patio area out back when the weather heats up. The service is the only negative of this restaurant, but it is a big one. Although the receptionist and employees who refill your chips/salsa are extremely friendly and nice, the waiters always provide poor service. Our bad experience with waiter Oscar resulted in this review. We were seated quickly and received our first round of chips/dip. Great. While checking out the menu, our waiter (Oscar) asked if we were ready to order. Nope, still need a minutes to decide. Ok, no problem. 20 minutes go by without a word from Oscar. Even then, I understand it's Father's Day and busy, so I can let that go. However, I see Oscar waiting the adjacent tables very attentively and grab his attention so we can order our food. I'm given a curt and rude "give me a second" before he disappears again. Finally he reappears and I'm able to put in my order, however this experience dampened my mood and ruined an otherwise pleasant evening. Although he took forever to wait on us for food, he had no problem being quick to get the bill and take my card. Love love love Mexico Lindo! This is a family staple, we all love their food which is consistently amazing. From the kids' grilled cheese and fries (which are extra crispy and delicious) to all of the more authentic flavors, it's all good. I typically have the fajitas or steak street tacos and am never disappointed. My husband tends to try the different ground beef combos. We sometimes go in to eat, but with three young kids it's tough so we often do take out. Service is always quick and the food is hot even when we do take out. We've been 4or 5 times- service is good but we don't go during busy times. The salsa must be made in house cause each times it's been different- good but different then the last. The food is just ok. Unfortunately, the drinks are not good. We've tried several different margaritas- frozen and on the rocks- each times they've been disappointing and not very flavorful. In a region where it's hard to find quality Mexican food, this is a rare gem. I just went to Mexico recently too and I strongly feel like this compares in quality. Service is fast and attentive. Highly recommend the La Fresa to drink and Enchiladas Tula as your meal. My food portion was huge so definitely brought some home. I absolutely love and adore Mexico lindo I been going here for yearsss and I always get the Mexico lindo burrito with chicken and refried beans and it is so delicious! They also have the BEST chips and salsa I ever had it's the only chips and salsa I eat. The churros is also a MUST HAVE it's the best. And the workers are so nice and welcoming , the wait time for food isn't long at all either you get it pretty quick! The Resturant also has pretty decorations. The pina coloda is also so good aswell. First time here and I'm glad we stopped by. From the moment we walked in we were greeted from two employees at the podium in the center of the restaurant. We were quickly seated on a busy Friday night. Our server was super nice and friendly, also very efficient. We ordered our drinks and our server brought them out to us in less than 10 minutes. In the meantime we were offered free chips and salsa. Their menu is kind of all over the place and not everything they offer is on the menu. The drinks were just OK. I asked for a strawberry margarita and the server did not ask if I wanted it frozen, but yet I ended up with a frozen one. We ordered Pollo a la Chipotle ($14.99) and Pollo a la Crema ($14.99). The portions are pretty generous. The perfect amount of everything, at least for the Pollo a la Chipotle plate. I had leftovers and saved it for lunch for the following day. My boyfriends plate looked like it was pretty generous as well, but instead it was mainly peppers instead of chicken. We can see Mexico Lindo in the near future. I love this place! I've been frequenting it for years, but never put in a review so I figured I should finally get around to it. My all time favorite dish is the arroz con pollo, but I'm currently a pescatarian and opted for shrimp instead of the chicken. My friend went with the original. Honestly, I don't know how something can taste so good. I also love that the portions are large enough for me to take home and eat the next day, I really love when I can take a doggie bag home LOL. Each dish ranged from $11-20 depending on how intricate you're trying to go. Mine was $15 because of the shrimp, just the chicken was $12. The chips and salsa they provide each table au gratis are so yummy! That sales is honestly one of the best I have had from any restaurant I've been to, and I'm comparing different states!! Love it and love the fresh chips! The service is amazing and the decor is super authentic! The colors pop and I love the booths. It does get pretty busy during the night, but I've never had to wait for a table. If you're in the area and have yet to stop by, you're doing your stomach a HUGE disservice. Second time here....I ordered steak and chicken fajitas.....I have never had fajitas anywhere that didn't come with shredded cheese. There was not much meat, mostly onions....The chicken was good but the steak was very fatty and 2 of the 5 pieces were so hard they were inedible. My wife got steak that was very overcooked.
