Good food but negative attitudes by the owners They Need to learn be professional when you're providing services to the public

We were vacationing and staying at the quality inn next door to this restaurant and we're told that they deliver. So we ordered some chicken green chili enchiladas and a chili relleno burrito. I can only say that we did not like it. The enchiladas we're just two lemony and just not very tasty to me personally. My husband found the chile relleno burrito to be an edible. The egg was kind of chewy around the chile relleno and he wasn't even sure if it was egg or not at first until I explained it was an egg. Anyway we would not recommend. But they are very nice people at the customer service was nice. read more

COVID is such a bummer! The interior of this place looks like every family-owned Mexican restaurant from the late 1980s in the best way possible, and I wish I could have eaten inside to better marinate in my nostalgia. Fish tacos were excellent, limes for squeezing were fresh, horchata was not too sweet, frijoles were delightfully greasy. Chips were plentiful, crunchy, and salty. Salsas were well balanced and flavorful. The people who own this place clearly give a hoot. 10/10, would go again! read more

In order of experience: * super cool ac in a hot day * bathroom and restaurant clean but dated (who cares) * chips were hot and very thick so overly tough- didn't care for the flavor of the salsa * service was quick and polite * plates were EXTREMELY hot - not like I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Lettuce and tomatoes were warm and wilted. *Food: Guacamole salad was 1 Tablespoon of fine tasting guac the con queso was a very small tortilla deep fried like a bowl then turned upside down with a thin coating of processed cheese on it (?). Tostada was supposed to be beef and bean but no beef was detected. It tasted fine until the lettuce wilted from the hot plate. There seem to be so many other Mexican restaurants to choose from I'd probably explore before picking a favorite. read more

Just had the best Mexican dinner I've had in a long time. Real home cooking. We ordered to go..I ordered the Chile Rellenos and they were delicious. My husband ordered the tamales con pollo and the chicken and salad were fresh and so yummy. We also ordered a side of guacamole and it had great flavor. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Seriously worst Mexican food I have ever had. Salsa tasted like cheap weak, bland stuff out of a jar out of a grocery store. I had the posole today it was bad it was salty not good flavor nothing to do with the Mexican posole this is going to be the las time I stop a this restaurant. This is a family owned and run restaurant, with great service, nice people and clean. Their fajitas are amazing. I find much of the rest of the menu standard Mexican Restaurant (good but not fantastic) refried beans, rice and cheese which is why only 4 stars. This authentic mexican spot is delightful. The food is spot on- I got the chicken fajitas which were amazingly seasoned with tons of sizzling and delicious peppers and onions. I recommend you stay well clear of this place. First of all, we were approached by a kid that was grade school age to take our order. I told him I wanted to order a beer, so obviously he was of no help. He walked away and we waited another 15 minutes for a woman to arrive. We gave her our order and waited another 10 minutes. It's strange, this - the tamal I had seemed to be made with a combination of hamburger and some kind of filler, TVP or something. But it was well-seasoned, didn't taste bad - it's just that it's like something you'd get at a supermarket. Other things were like that too - bad ingredients done up well! It's more gringomex that some others in the area, and I would prefer to eat at Mi Casa or Tortillas Solis, but I'd eat here again if the others were closed. Seems legit walking in but it's not too good. Nice server and environment is good. Lame salsa even after asking for hotter. Food was not spiced correctly....it was meat and shrimp with pepper on it. Not totally disgusting but not any kinda good. Try somewhere else. read more

Nice and dark and cool, everyone in there seemed to be enjoying their drinks. I had the veggie burrito, and though it tasted ok, the veggies weren't fully cooked and it came not wrapped like a burrito, but open like a taco. And the opening was on the bottom. Took a lot of maneuvering to turn it over to eat it. And there was a little pinch if cheese in the middle. Not sure what that was about. Did they accidently drop some in there? Because I didn't expect any, but if it was supposed to be in there, the amount was ridiculous! Chips were rock hard, like they were warmed under lights repeatedly. For days, maybe...service was good, though. My mom ordered tacos, but got what were clearly tostadas. I wanted to go to La Posada next door, but they don't have beer, which one of our party "needed"! Awful. Our server was a 10-12 year old kid whose mother and/or father also work there. Kid promptly spilled the salsa all over our table when delivering it. Took half of our order but couldn't take our beer order. Had to wait for mom to come by and take that. Kid had to return and confirm what we had ordered: chicken fajitas and carne asada. We waited and waited and waited for our food. Considered leaving. Kid delivered rice, beans and pico for the chicken fajitas but the main course didn't arrive until a good 10-15 minutes later while the rice and beans got cold. Carne asada was like shoe leather. Couldn't even cut it with the "steak" knife provided. No one came to ask how our meal was. Food=terrible. Service=terrible. Go elsewhere. (It's obviously not the kid's fault - he's a kid and too young to be working taking orders and serving food. Have him fill water or bus tables, something easy.) read more

Food was not seasoned correctly - everything was bland and salsa tasted more like barbecue sauce - I suggested we leave after tasting the super oily chips and barbecue sauce salsa with a few bits of veggies in it but we hung in there thinking our chicken fajitas and chimichanga would have to be better but we were wrong. read more

Had to leave 1 star. The service is horrible. Absolutely horrible. The guy waiter comes doesn't even take a drink order. Takes forever to get a drink. I was part of a group there and the guy waiter catered to 2 individuals in the group but completely blew off everyone else. The female server finally took everyone's order. Guy was rude, ignorant, and overall worst service in my life. Food is not good over priced and badly presented. Would never recommend actually I tell everyone to avoid this place. One star only because the staff was very friendly. The local was dirty, carpet filthy and the place smelled moldy. It was gross!. Food was lousy...I see other reviewers had the same experience.
