This place was highly recommended by the hotel staff. I was excited to try it. Nice little place. But it was so cold in there. I kept my jacket and gloves on. We were the only ones there. . . lasted about a minute lol. . . it quickly got packed. They didn't have the soup I wanted so my next go to. . . taco, enchilada, rice and beans. . . didn't see that either. I asked the server if I could order off the kids menu. He was so great about allowing me to do that. I had a cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. It was ok. Not something that I would be rushing back for but it was good. My coworker had the asada fries. She loved them. The serving size was so big she had enough for a snack later and lunch the next day. I have to say the chips and salsa were good. Perfect amount of salt and the right amount of spicy. My son wanted to go to Micasa for his birthday! When we got our food while my fajita plate warmed our hands up due to the whole restaurant being extremely cold.. One son got a plate that was supposed to be a burrito it was 3 chicken legs, he is not one to complain. We were the only table in restaurant at the time. The waitress was rather hard to understand! Im assuming she miss understood his order or something. I had to wait for tortillas that she brought on the forth time coming to table. She seemed bothered that we had even come in! My other child tried eating thier plate and comented that it was cold after a few minutes we asked the worker to please reheat. The tiny bathroom had outside freezing cold air blowing into it. And now today two of the 3 of us are sick to our stomach one of us has thrown up. The trird is still asleep. Never again will we be eating here again! read more

My fiancé (Lorenzo Lamas and I) and I drove through Madras and stopped in here. I needed to use their WiFi and plug my computer in on the way back down to So Cal. This place had some of the best Mexican food we have ever had! We have traveled the world, we have been to Mexico and we live in LA which has amazing Mexican food. And this was next level. He ordered the molecateje de mariscos spicy and it was so delicious! The seasoning and peppers were incredible. The seafood was so fresh and perfectly prepared. I had the veggie tostadas and the beans were some of the best beans I've ever had! Their pico de gallo was a delight for my taste buds. The margaritas were incredible also! Stopped in after visiting Bend area. I had the Bistec a la Mexicana which was very good. Almost like a Fajita without the sizzling metal plate. The homemade flour tortilla was great, one of the best I have had. My wife had the El Trio Enchilada and loved it. The verde sauce was her favorite. The only 'negative' thing I would say, which is why not 5 stars, is that the tortilla chips served with the salsa was a bit stale, and the place could use a bit more decorations on the wall. Driving from Redmond to Portland we stopped at Mi Casa for dinner. Staff great - professional, friendly and flexible with the menu. Most Mexican restaurants don't serve fish, which is surprising given the miles of coastline in Mexico. But I digress! I ordered the whole Talipa but the waiter said it would have lot of bones. I hesitated and he offered to have the kitchen filet it for me. It was delicious as were the sides. The a la Diablo sauce at medium was really hot and so good. The beans were creamy and clearly not from a can! My husband had the beef fajitas. He kept commenting on how good it was! They have beer in a bottle. read more

This is a nice little Mexican spot in Madras offering good food at reasonable prices, served with care. I was with a group of 4 and ordered the nachos no meat. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful on the plate and the presentation was good. I don't normally like the chips covered in the ingredients and heated up to melt the cheese, but Mi Casa does it well. Not through Madras during lunch time very often but when I am, Mi Casa will be a top choice for me to eat at. read more

The owner, Danny, and his wife are very nice and attentive to our needs. The biggest highlight for me was his homemade salsa, hint of spiciness, sweet from fresh tomatoes and well balanced flavor profile. Delicious homemade style food. Their "saxon" flavor is authentic and you will also love their homemade flour and corn tortillas as well as their salsas. I would go back as the food was good once we got it but had to order twice as something happened to our order (took almost 45 minutes to actually get the food for a table of 3 when there was only 5 other people in the restaurant to start). One drink could not be made as they did not have mint but then 10 minutes later the server had coke back to say they like to serve food and drinks with fresh items so they went to the store for a pineapple. The pina colada was really good once it arrived (20 minutes after ordering). A table of 3 came in after and were fed and checking out by the time our food arrived. We had to ask server for more chips, salsa, and water since we waited so long. One order was made wrong (did not come with no peppers) so had to dig those out. ABASOLUTEKY STINKING IMMACULATE let me tell yeah. Just a car full of 4 dawgs on their way back from a Smith Rock climbing excursion who got bellies that require some mexican cuisine. I myself holbbled I'm with a broken ankle as a result of some exciting rock climbing. The "Mexican Burrito" (with al pastor) single handedly repaired my fractured ankle, it mended the bones and repaired the torn flesh. We were on the road to Mt Hood, from a great day in Redmond OR. Mi Casa was on the main downtown road, and is roomy, clean and very friendly. We got there about 4pm, and the server was fast and friendly. Their menu is very complete, and as others have said, we looked forward to the handmade tortillas. The server quickly brought out a bowl of chips and salsa, and we took our time ordering. What they didn't tell us, was that you could order just tacos, and that's what several in our party did. They were great, and really generously filled; the meat selection was interesting, including birria, which I ordered. Very delcious! I also loved the carnitas. The shrimp was so-so, and the carne asada was lean but a little tough. I had the rice and beans... ok, but not special to me. The chicken mole was very dark and full of flavor. and so was the guacamole. But I think the whole party would agree that the tortillas were the hit. Each of us took a plain tortilla and filled it with the rice, beans, and meats, as well as the guac.. so good. When you take into account the quality, and the generous servings, the cost was actually quite reasonable! read more
