Disgusting trash at a place people eat.

Waited 15 minutes for water, asked for lemon, never brought it. No napkins on table. Be nice in case person wanted them while eating the cold stale chips. Guy kept looking at the table when I was at the counter paying. I assume to see if I left a tip. I'll let you guess on that one. As I walked up the side street to the restaurant I noticed the trash outside the back door. Thought I was in Mexico for a minute. Well madras is/has become that. So on my way out I took a pic of the trash. Seems like the City of Madras should let them know their trash needs to be in a trash can.

We were welcomed in, even though the place was packed. Had excellent beers- ipa local and a huge bunch of chips and salsa. The food was fresh and delicious - not drowned in cheese. The sauces had excellent flavor and the meats had savory loveliness! Excellent service too! He didn't blink an eye when I wanted different meats with the different sauces!

My fiancé (Lorenzo Lamas and I) and I drove through Madras and stopped in here. I needed to use their WiFi and plug my computer in on the way back down to So Cal. This place had some of the best Mexican food we have ever had! We have traveled the world, we have been to Mexico and we live in LA which has amazing Mexican food. And this was next level. He ordered the molecateje de mariscos spicy and it was so delicious! The seasoning and peppers were incredible. The seafood was so fresh and perfectly prepared. I had the veggie tostadas and the beans were some of the best beans I've ever had! Their pico de gallo was a delight for my taste buds. The margaritas were incredible also! Definitely give this place a try! You'll be back!

My delicious combo.

1/2 hour to closing, yet friendly saved helpful staff serve me 1 tamale, 1 enchilada, 1 taco with a salad too. Delicious and speedy. Great Mexican traditional music adds the perfect ambience. Try this place soon as you can. Carlos

Definitely recommend! Stopped by today with our big family of 14 and staff was quick to sit us down and very friendly. They had delicious food and drinks. We will definitely be back again when in town.

Pretty good food! Molcajete has seeds in the salsa, that's something I dislike but otherwise that plate was tasty. The chicken and rice in the burrito was a little dry but still decent. They are only doing curb side pick up at the moment. I suggest phone ordering so by the time you get there it's ready!

This was good basic fare. We may have dropped in while they were short staffed, but the food & salsas were homemade and fresh. I would order take-out if we ate here again. It looks like they are set up well for that.

You won't want to go anywhere else. Food is unusually fresh and beautifully prepared. Homemade tortillas, salsa. Clean. Leave your worries at the curb. Free street parking. Really, if you haven't already been here, you cannot imagine what you are missing. Love this place. The owner is all about service and quality. Rare.

The cream sauce on my chili relleno was so flavorful! It had a smokiness that was fantastic.

Don't be afraid to come here! Lots of food truck options which is cool. My friend and I each got zero proof cocktails. She got the sweet hemptation and liked it so much she got a second one. I got the funky cold Modena which was tart and tasty. And we got to see Miz Cracker from RuPaul's Drag Race!! So fun! The drag show was high energy and a great time.

I'll preface by stating that this establishment is a bar with a food truck lot. It is not the…read moreDogwood downtown cocktail bar that is the subject of the prior hundreds of reviews. The owners closed up shop downtown and created this new place on 2nd Street in Bend's Central District. It's now called Dogwood at the Pine Shed. Why Yelp won't create a new, distinct page for the Pine Shed is beyond me. That said, the Pine Shed is a fine place for drinks and food truck fare. The open, spacious 'shed' has plenty of varied seating surrounding a nice bar with quite a few tables outside on the patio. Mobility-challenged folks have choices too. For those worried about 2nd Street's reputation for sketchiness, don't be. Revitalization efforts by the city have transformed the area. At times of good weather, with the big doors open, the Pine Shed is quite a nice spot to relax. Cocktails were the raison d'etre for the former incarnation of Dogwood and that emphasis transfers here to the Pine Shed. I particularly like their versions of a margarita but the other cocktails are uniformly good too. The beer tap offerings are not so spectacular, however, with only four (and a cider). On one visit shortly after they opened for business, two beer taps were tapped out, which can be chalked up to growing pains. In any case, the Pine Shed can't be seriously regarded as a tap house in the style of the many others in Bend (On Tap, River's Place, Crosscut, The Lot, The Podski, Midtown Yacht Club, etc.). Come for the cocktails. They do offer low ABV and zero ABV drinks. At present, the food truck choices are abundant and pretty decent. Being trucks/carts, and thus mobile and prone to relocating themselves, I'll not list them here. Best to check the Pine Shed's webpage for current offerings and then go to the relevant Yelp page for reviews. Parking is street only, no parking lot. The city has completed construction on 2nd Street so there are more spots available than before.

He sweats and pushes us to order and eat fast, doing that waiter thing when they pretend they are not rushing you. "Just checking if you need that plate taken away." Not fooling anyone. Brusque to my brother who is into fine wines and requested tastes of some by-the-glass wines before committing to a glass or a bottle. My wife stated she is uncomfortable around the server. We don't go to the Open Door much now. Old review. A real romantic spot. Great drinks. My wife loves it. Sitting outside is best but the bar is good too. Some nights they put tables in the art gallery out front and you sit around the paintings and jewelry, kind of fun. There used to be a waitress named Kristen or Kirsten, a lady with long hair and clogs, the best server I've ever had and I don't just mean in Central Oregon. The Open Door is the probably the best dining experience in Sisters. Living in Tumalo and working throughout Oregon, I go to Sisters often. Unfortunately Sisters isn't a great town for food. The Open Door has some very-good food, and some pretty-good food. You never know which it's going to be. The halibut, meatballs, and lasagnas are solid. Berries and cream dessert is great. The menu doesn't change much over the years. If my wife didn't love it I wouldn't go back so often. Get bored eating the same dishes over and over. When my brother and his grown kids visit they like the atmosphere, especially those small houses outside with the plants. However they have trouble finding a selection that works for their way of eating, allergies, one is vegan and one is lactose intolerant.

Pollo con crema poblano had some very chewy chicken strips, others were perfectly done, but was too salty. Tacos gobernador was too salty. Rice was flavorless and too salty. Refried beans were runny and too salty. Both entrees were just warm, not hot. Someone in the kitchen does not know how to use spices and overcompensated with salt. On everything. Which is a shame bc the spices were there except for the cook who doesn't know what she is doing with salt. Salt is what you use to compensate for your lack of understanding how to use other spices and herbs. Which is a shame bc the recipes already had other spices and herbs, and did not need the overabundance of salt. The waiter didn't give us plates with our appetizer and gave us our check without asking if we wanted desert. We had to ask for water refills. The prices were high enough to expect well prepared food and excellent service. They are close but the Chingona didn't deliver. Which is a shame bc the recipes themselves seemed quite good. Ultimately, it falls on management to correct these failings. Ladies, you are so close!

We walked in to find a mostly empty restaurant (2 other tables seated). The atmosphere felt more like it was suited for a nice dinner date than a casual lunch but whatever - they're open for lunch. When I asked a friend about it later, he said he and his wife go there for dinner but had never been at lunch time. My buddy ordered the Grinder (essentially an Italian) and I ordered the Beef Sando (essentially their take on a French Dip). My buddy, who self-admittedly doesn't like focaccia, said the bread was awesome and sando in general really good. We both really enjoyed the fries, that were well seasoned in a savory and slightly sweet dusting. The abundance of fries was well appreciated as well. The beef sando was tasty and also a good portion. My only complaint was the thinly shaved beef was laid flat in layers instead of mounded on the sandwich (see pic). I hesitate to even say this, but it felt like I was eating Steak-umm. In general, the meal was good and filling. The service was good and value for price felt good.

It was not busy, full of empty tables, at 4:30pm and we quickly ordered before happy hour ended at 5pm. I tried the tea in the high desert cocktail which was fairly herbal with hints of tea, which was okay. Albacore ceviche - good portions with a good amount of chips. The albacore was fairly fresh and it was very flavorful and a bit tangy. This dish itself was fairly filling. Cheddar bay fritters - a bit dry and heavy for my liking Beef carpaccio - love the usage of chili oil which enhanced a typical dish into another level Pork belly sliders - delicious and great value at $3 each. It was so good I got an extra one for myself and even though it was 5:04pm, they still honored happy hour pricing! Zeppole - decent, also a bit dry, but the sweet strawberry sauce somewhat compensated for it. I love that the food came out quickly and service was speedy. This was what we needed while we jam packed our itinerary to try to see as many places as possible.
