Great fast Mexican food. Two notches above Moe's and maybe half a notch below Chipotle. Definitely a great value, and if you are looking to get a huge burrito this place will do you right. The owner is obnoxiously RUDE! I've been there a couple times and every time I'm there, he is just plain rude. I know it's mexican fast food but he doesn't have to be so nasty to customers if they take too long to order. Also, their portions are very skimpy. I recently ordered nachos and they put shredded cheddar cheese on and handed it to me. I asked them if they could heat up it up so the shredded cheese melts and they were rude and didn't do it. Nonetheless, I ate tortilla chips with cold shredded cheese on it for $7! Not worth the price or lack of customer service. I'd rather drive further to Chipotle. read more

Been here a few times and this place is AMAZING. The burrito and burrito bowl are my favorites. Their burritos are even better than Chipotle. You can taste the freshness here. Good customer service and absolutely friendly staff. I went here with my friend a few times and she absolutely LOVED it and thought it was better than Chipotle too. I gave one star because there's no option for zero star !!!! Last night I took out a kids taco and a burrito for myself . My daughter had to say No to taco ( her fav food) for the first time !!!! The chicken was completely stale and extremely salty .... The employees there were not interested in serving their clients , rather more interested in chatting with each other . I could see that they were not paying attention to what I was asking to put in my dishes! I asked to put a little more tomato in my kids taco and he said he will charge me extra for that. It is the worst mexican food I have ever had and I m not even sure of the hygiene there ! This is a franchise of mexican post which is supposed to be a good place but they are ruining the reputation! Set up very similarly to a Moe's or Chipotle, you pick your base item (taco, burrito, etc) and then add unlimited toppings of your choice. Our crew of work people ordered about 10 items for lunch from tacos to taco salad to burritos to a quesadilla. So we sampled just about everything they had to offer. Prices were extremely reasonable to the volume and quality of the food. Our burritos were about 1-2 pounds of food for around $7. What more could you ask for? Not even close to Taco Bell quality (and I'm a big fan of Taco Bell for mexican fast food). Everyone was very pleased. I'd recommend ordering online for a large order. read more

They've definitely improved there flavors and I love it! The place gets crowded during lunch time because of the nearby businesses. I do wish they'd improve their burrito wrapping a bit more because it spills. Other than that, the value and taste trumps Chipotle. read more

This place is definitely similar to Moes or Chipotle but more affordable. The only thing I didn't like about it was it didn't look clean. A lot of the toppings were empty and the server didn't feel like making more so he would just say it's not available. Ordered beef tacos. It was extremely salty, I couldn't even finish it. I ordered soft shells for the tacos and the beef had so much grease and liquid that my taco fell apart. Probably won't be going back. read more

First, the litmus test for any Mexican food is asking myself: Could I have gotten better at Taco Bell, which is fairly cheap and serviceable Mexican fare. Honestly, I could not definitively say yes. I ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla and it tasted ok, but did not hold up well structurally. My partner ordered a taco salad which was considered to be too salty. Our side contained borderline stale chips though the queso was ok. In general, we did not appreciate the open layout of the food behind the counter, as some portions of our meals were cooler than expected. The food is not that cheap (~$7 for a quesadilla, burrito or taco salad), which closely approach that of Chipotle, Qdoba and Panchero's, against which this is no competition. Though we believe that Mexican fare is a gap in the Plainsboro market that could be served by this eaterie, we would've preferred the Quizno's restaurant that it had replaced. read more

Steer clear of this business. I strolled in around 3 pm on a Thursday this week. No customers in sight and a sleepy manager/owner at the counter...no other employees. Me and a family member give our orders. We go to pay separately with $10 Living Social vouchers I had purchased. The fine print read "one per customer per visit" and they had 2 customers. Rather than show proper customer service, he puts up a huge fuss about how we can't use them since they were both from the same account. It's very poor form for a manager or owner to make up their own terms after the fact. He absolutely refused to make an exception to his made up rule, so I canceled my order (I won't support shady business practices) and only used one of the vouchers. The food was made and the guy wound up throwing the canceled order in the trash rather than honor the other voucher and make a customer happy. The business is clearly suffering since I see offers on Yelp, Groupon, and Living Social all the time. The offers are meant to make a good impression so that it brings back repeat business. Obviously, this guy did the exact opposite and drove a customer away with his lack of customer service skills. It defies logic as to why an owner would rather get snippy & throw away food resulting in poor customer service and loss of a potential future customer rather than making an exception (to his own made up rules) in hopes to get repeat business...it's not rocket science, just simple business sense. It comes off as mentally imbalanced. I've been to Mexican Post with friends before and paid their full menu prices...never again. As far as the food we did get...it had been sitting around a while (since there were no customers) and tasted kind of funky. The guy obviously doesn't know how to run a business. Only go here if you want awful service and an owner who doesn't want to honor any discounts/vouchers. read more

I went to the Mexican Post for the first time on Saturday for lunch. As many other people stated, the owner/manager /worker was very rude and impatient. I ordered a burrito and when I went to pay the same guy who rolled my burrito, I noticed the he only removed his right glove to handle the money and left the left glove on, but held the money with the left hand glove! I watched to see if he was going to remove the glove that he handled the money with, but he didn't! He just put on another right glove and left the dirty glove that had the germs all over it on and rolled out the next guys burrito! After seeing that, I just unrolled my burrito and just ate what was inside, the part he didn't touch! Needless to say, I will NEVER eat there again! Stay with Chipotle, at least they are cheaper, have quality food, have better customer service and are more sanitary. I don't think this guy is going to stay in business much longer. read more
